Tokachigawa Onsen Daiichi Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel facilities are excellent, especially the hot springs; the outdoor rotenburo is truly beautiful. Unfortunately, we visited during a heavy snowstorm and were told that food ingredients couldn't be delivered, resulting in a rather average dining experience."
Kamishihoro Hotel ★★
"I like the way food is delivered. There is Netflix available to watch during my stay, which is very convenient. There is a parking lot opposite the hotel. I will come again next time."
Nukabirakan Kanko Hotel ★★★
"I stayed one night at this inn as part of a tour to the Taushubetsu River Bridge. It's an inn with a Showa-era atmosphere, and you have to go up stairs before taking the elevator. The large public bath is on the first floor, but you have to go down to the basement and then up a slope to get there, which is an unusual layout for an inn. The room was a Japanese-style room, and when I arrived, the futon was already laid out. There is air conditioning in the room, but there is no bathtub. The toilet does not have a bidet. The large public bath is for men and women on alternating days, and you can use it anytime except during cleaning hours. The open-air bath is mixed-gender, but from 7pm to 10pm it is for women only. It is located at the bottom of a wooden staircase of about 40 steps. There is no washing area, and it is small. Dinner is a kaiseki-style meal, which you can enjoy slowly and leisurely. Breakfast is a buffet."
Kangetsuen ★★★★
"In winter, the roads are frozen, and there are no other tourist destinations nearby. The accommodation is very old and not good."
Shikaribetsu Kohan Onsen Hotel Fusui ★★★
"The hotel is located right next to the ice bar, where you can play snowmobiles, kayaks, make your own ice cups, soak in hot springs on the ice lake and other activities In addition, I have to say that the staff are really friendly. I participated in dog sledding nearby. If I had to take the bus, I would have arrived two hours earlier. I wanted to call a taxi, but the hotel staff said that it is not easy to do so here. We had a taxi, so we arranged for the hotel's vehicle to drive us there. We were very touched."
Hotel Tetoraresort Tokachigawa ★★
"The hotel staff are courteous and friendly. The hot springs are very good. The room is neat and clean. The equipment in the room is also very new. The dinner was rich and delicious. I was very full. Although the breakfast dishes were not many, they were very delicious and left me with a pleasant stay. Memories of stay."
Tokachigawa Moor Onsen Seijyakubow ★★★★★
"The ceiling, design style and service level of the hot spring hotel are all top-notch. Tourists who don’t like quietness and just want to see the sights should not choose this hotel."
Kanno Onsen ★★
"Although I live in Hokkaido, this was my first visit to Shikaribetsukyo Kanno Onsen. On June 1, 2025, I planned a round-trip motorcycle tour from Asahikawa City to Shihoro Town via Mikuni Pass. The return trip was not planned, but I stopped off at Lake Shikaribetsu and was late. While searching for a place to stay in Shikaoi Town, I spotted a blue sign for Kanno Onsen and turned right. There was a 10-meter gravel road along the way, but it wasn't deep gravel, so it was no problem. Since I was riding in the evening, the road was teeming with Ezo deer. By the time I reached the inn at the end of the secluded mountain valley, I was exhausted. I'm grateful to the hot spring staff for welcoming me, even though I was a surprise visitor without a reservation. The room, in stark contrast to its exterior, had a luxurious, clean interior. The hot spring building was also clean, and the water quality and temperature were impressive. After researching, I discovered it is one of Japan's best-kept hot springs. "Climb Mount Fuji and talk about its height. Climb Mount Daisetsu and talk about its size," wrote Professor Omachi Keigetsu in his contribution. Just like Tsuta Onsen, where I spent my later years, this bath is rare even in Japan, with hot water bubbling up from the bottom. I only had breakfast, but it was reasonably priced and no shortcuts were taken. The coffee after breakfast was excellent. It's such an amazing hot spring that I regret not having visited Kanno Onsen before. And it's reasonably priced too. I'll definitely be back."
Shikaribetsu Lakeside Onsen Hotel Fusui ★★
"Location is abit isolated during winter, thus this hotel provide dinner and that why we are loving it. the view from the room overseeing Shikaribetsu lake is hard to beat."
