"Lovely lodge with amazing views. All the staff was very attentive and friendly. It was very easy to arrange the gorilla permits as the lodge did this for us. The room had a lovely balcony and comfortable bed. Even though it is a bit from the next paved road, we had no issues getting there and our driver was also happy with his stay, particularly the food. We had a great time and would recommend this to everyone."

"Absolutely wonderful place made better by the absolutely wonderful people who own it and run it. The food was far beyond expectations and the quaint cottages were lovely. Do yourself a favor and stay more than one night. I think the more intrepid travelers will prefer Buhoma Gorilla Camp more than the extremely expensive, luxury camps just a few kilometers away. Here you will get a personal treatment and become part of the small community. Richard the owner and Joshua, the head of the restaurant, are the best."

"An absolutely beautiful location & lodging. We had an all inclusive package & were the only ones staying as it was off peak season. The staff were so friendly & attentive & we were treated so well. Newton our waiter was just lovely & thanks to the female chef for her tasty food! The view here is next level & enjoy a drink in the bar upstairs to take it all in. The spa was divine & perfect way to relax after the gorilla trek. They packed us a massive lunch for the trek & lent us walking sticks & gloves. Laundry was included & a treat after traveling & trekking. Thanks for having us! "

Gorilla Valley Lodge

"We stayed at the Gorilla Valley lodge for 2 nights. The lodge is basic but clean the staff are delightful. The food is good and presented well. The waitress Blair is a shining star! The internet only works well at the main lodge but the view is wonderful and makes it worthwhile. The rooms are basic, the beds could be more comfy but after my hike I found the bed wonderful!! The water was nice and hot and at night we were offered hot water bottles in case we were cold. Take plenty of cash because the locals come and do a show nightly and it’s nice to be able to support them."
