"The Hiramatsu is a very nice, well-located hotel right on the beach, perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. It has 20 rooms, which is a welcome change from the large, impersonal hotels you often find. The rooms are comfortably furnished with sea views and equipped with everything you need and more. The bed was one of the best I had on my entire trip to Japan. Rooms are cleaned daily upon request, and the beds are turned down in the evening, also upon request. This is very convenient, as you don't have to stand outside your room while it's being cleaned. The beach is beautiful and directly accessible via a staircase. However, it's not nearly as clean as the rest of the country. It's clear that the Japanese aren't particularly fond of beach holidays. Some villas have private pools, but the small infinity pool for everyone is perfectly adequate. The grounds are very well-maintained and spotlessly clean. The staff are very friendly, but unfortunately, their English isn't very good. The food ranges from good to excellent, although the selection is somewhat limited. If you don't want to eat the set menu every evening, which I did twice (once incredibly good, the second time rather underwhelming), the choice becomes limited. For breakfast, they offer almost everything, although it alternates between Japanese and continental options and is served at your table. However, you can also choose your own breakfast if you don't want the Japanese option. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I would definitely book the Hiramatsu again should I ever visit Okinawa's main island again."

"The hotel is quite remote; if you drive there, you'll have to navigate winding side roads. There were many bloodstains left by dead mosquitoes on the bedside table, which was unsettling. We were the only guests for two nights, and it got a little scary late at night. The hotel staff and owner were very welcoming and even gave us a bottle of sparkling wine."

"The price is a bit high. Check-in and check-out is done online, but the screen is blurry and unclear. The surroundings are quiet and comfortable, with a starry sky and chirping birds. However, the space is much smaller than expected, which is very inconvenient. I don't recommend bringing a suitcase because it won't fit flat. There is parking, but there are no shops nearby, so you have to buy food downtown. Bugs do creep into the room, but I recommend it if you just want to enjoy nature. Overall, aside from the small space and the service, it's okay."

"This is a secluded resort, and it seems like the only place you'll find on the main island is by crossing over to another island or going quite far north in Yanbaru. The furnishings are wonderful and relaxing. Above all, the staff's hospitality is astounding. For example, they respond incredibly quickly. We stayed for two nights, and they served one type of Okinawan premium fish on the first and one on the second day, and the food was truly luxurious. It's quite pricey, but some guests stayed six nights. While the room is a villa with an ocean view, there were steps and some minor design issues that left me feeling a bit unsure. However, I was reminded that Hiramatsu Group hotels are truly exceptional, without being superficial or superficial."

"A truly satisfying stay! The location is a bit remote, best suited for those with a car. Because it's not close to the city, it feels more like a secluded paradise. This time, we opted for the dinner and breakfast combination. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, sharing the nearby deserted pebble beach and the sunset beach on the other side. The room was well-equipped and even had a sound system – fantastic! The beds were clean and comfortable, and the hotel offered unlimited soft drinks and beer until 10 pm. Dinner was a barbecue, and when the staff learned it was a birthday trip, they even brought us sparkling wine to celebrate – so thank you! In the evening, we could enjoy the starry sky and unexpectedly saw a shooting star – so exciting! Before we left, the staff even kindly took a photo and left a message for us – we were so grateful! We hope to have the opportunity to stay here again in the future. It would be even more perfect if check-out time could be extended to 11 am 🥰"

"I had higher expectations for this stay and was a bit disappointed. Firstly, the location of the resort is not great, it’s on a loud highway which makes noise an issue but also makes it extremely difficult to navigate as you can’t turn right across the large highway. We treated ourselves to the buffet one morning and wish we didn’t, there was limited selections for food and the sashimi was far from fresh. We were given a table reservation card and once sat down with our food were asked to move by the staff so another guest could have our table? Very odd and once questioned the staff changed their tune and no longer wanted to move us - seemed the other guest was getting preferential treatment. Parking was also paid which was not clear on the initial listing. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was only cleaned on one day, beds were not even made and rubbish wasn’t taken out - very strange for a 5 star. We only realised staff had been in because toilet paper had been replenished. I was very excited for this stay and was a bit let down, views are nice though!"
