Kunming Guandu District Hotels

I arrived at the airport late the night before, but the hotel's pick-up service was perfectly arranged. The driver was already waiting, and even proactively helped with my luggage, completely saving me the hassle of finding a taxi in the middle of the night. Upon arrival, front desk staff member #6 was incredibly friendly and polite, and check-in was very efficient. She also thoughtfully informed me of all the important details. After a long and tiring journey, the warm and thoughtful service from the staff made me feel so much better, and the room environment was also excellent. The overall service was impeccable, I highly recommend this hotel! It will definitely be my first choice next time I visit Kunming!

I was very satisfied with my stay. Although the location isn't super prominent, the bedding and towels were new, and the whole place was clean and bright. It had large screens on the windows, so ventilation was excellent. The mattress was just right, not too soft or too hard, and there were two types of pillows, which was perfect for my tired back and neck. The shower had great pressure and strong water flow – I didn't want to get out! The hotel upgraded my room, so I had a lot of space for just one person. I didn't book breakfast, but I did go down for coffee and two eggs and observed that it looked quite good, better than at other Ramadas I've stayed in, so it's worth considering. It's close to the north entrance/exit of Kunming Railway Station, which is convenient for high-speed rail. The subway is a bit far (the exit is on the south side of the station), but Kunming isn't that big, and taking a taxi to places like Green Lake, Dianchi Lake, or Dounan isn't expensive.

This time I came to Kunming by train and chose the Holiday Inn Express very close to the North Exit. The location is incredibly convenient; you don't have to rush for high-speed trains or regular trains, saving you the hassle of traveling back and forth. The hotel is new, the room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had a wet/dry separation, and hot water came quickly. The front desk staff were friendly, and check-in/check-out was very efficient. They also responded promptly to any issues. The breakfast selection was comprehensive, including some local simple dishes, perfect for fueling up before heading out to explore. The whole place was quiet, not noisy at all, making it suitable for business trips or as a stopover during travel. As an international chain brand, the quality is reliable and the price is fair. If you want a hassle-free trip, this is a great choice. I'll prioritize staying here again next time I visit Kunming. Highly recommended!

This hotel is quite good, offering excellent value for money. For just over 100 [currency, presumably CNY], they provide airport shuttle service, and even offer late-night snacks after 10 PM. Upon check-in, the front desk gives out small gifts – that crispy rice cracker (guoba) was delicious! The flower pastry (xianhuabing) was also good. The room was clean, and the hot water circulated quickly.

The owner was incredibly hospitable; seeing I had two kids, he immediately upgraded us to a family room. This garden hotel truly lives up to its name, surrounded by flowers and gardens all designed by the owner himself. The room was clean, tidy, and fully smart, easily comparable to a mid-to-high-end hotel. The best part? The price was so reasonable that I'd feel bad not giving a good review. If they stepped up their promotions, this place would be fully booked every single day!

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone with a one-night stay, especially if you have a late-night arrival or an early morning flight. Although there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, the hotel itself is very comfortable. The rooms are modern, equipped with smart features, and the beds are very comfortable. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Breakfast offers a good variety of choices, and the restaurant staff are exceptionally warm and sincere. It was also a nice touch that they offered guests Yunnan’s famous rose biscuits to sample. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the airport, making it an excellent choice for transit travelers. My only suggestion is to contact the hotel via WeChat in advance, especially for foreign visitor. Adding us on WeChat in advance before arrival makes communication much easier. We spent over 30 minutes waiting for the airport pickup because our phone calls went unanswered, even though the support line responded quickly once we got through. Overall, despite the pickup delay, I would definitely recommend this hotel for its comfort, excellent service, and convenient airport location.

Staying at the Howard Johnson Life Hotel Kunming was a great experience. The room was clean and quiet, and parking was convenient, making it ideal for self-driving travelers. The location is excellent, with smooth routes to the Mushuihua Wild Mushroom Market, Stone Forest, and Dounan Flower Market. I highly recommend it to visitors who love wild mushrooms and are looking for authentic Yunnan cuisine. There are plenty of dining options nearby, making self-driving and finding food a breeze!

Every year for my annual leave, I go traveling, and this year I chose Kunming. I stayed at the Shanhaiyunjing Hotel, and it's truly the most atmospheric hotel I've ever experienced. The hotel's design is incredibly chic; it's like they've brought an entire art gallery right into a hotel by Dianchi Lake – it's absolutely stunning! As soon as you step into the lobby, you're embraced by minimalist artistry. The art installations in the corridors and the succulent landscaping are meticulously composed at every turn, making every snapshot a scenic view. The room offers fantastic views; you can lie in bed and see the Sleeping Beauty Hill. They even thoughtfully provided bath salts by the soaking tub. The butler proactively recommended a route for birdwatching the black-headed gulls, and even the breakfast featured Yunnan specialties like red rice and 'Er Si' (rice noodles). Staying here felt like living in a poetic landscape of mountains and seas. Next time I'm in Kunming, I'll definitely choose this place again!

This hotel is truly excellent! The location is superb, right behind the train station, making it convenient to get anywhere. It's incredibly good value for money at this price. Every room has a full-length mirror, perfect for taking photos. The hotel's decor is beautiful and very Instagrammable. The staff are super responsive to messages, and the front desk team, both the guys and girls, were incredibly nice. Thank you all so much; my stay was very satisfying. I really enjoyed staying at your hotel. The view is also great, you can even see the Twin Towers!

Extremely satisfied! This new hotel is exceptionally clean, and the TV is great too. They offer a shuttle service, which is perfect for travelers arriving late or departing early from the airport. There's an Yi ethnic village nearby with delicious food. Very happy with my stay, and the price is good too. Highly recommend this place!
