Hotel Suisse

9.2/10
Great

I stayed at Hotel Suisse Geneva during my time in Geneva, and the standout feature of this hotel is its location. It is literally right across the road from the main train station, which makes it incredibly convenient whether you’re arriving by rail, heading to the airport, or planning day trips. Being so close to the station also means excellent public transport connections, but what I found even more useful is that most of Geneva’s main sights are within easy walking distance. You can comfortably reach the lake, the Old Town, shops, and restaurants without needing to rely on transport, which makes exploring the city simple and efficient. The hotel itself is comfortable and practical, with clean rooms and everything you need for a short city stay. It’s not overly luxurious, but it’s well maintained and does the job perfectly if you’re planning to spend most of your time out exploring Geneva. Because of its central location, it’s a great choice for both short stays and stopovers. It also works particularly well if you have an early train or a tight schedule, as you don’t need to factor in extra travel time to get to the station. I would highly recommend Hotel Suisse Geneva for anyone prioritising convenience and location. If you want to be right in the centre of everything with excellent transport links, it’s a very practical and reliable choice.

I had a very pleasant stay at B&B Hotel Geneva and would definitely recommend it, especially for short trips or airport transits. One of the standout features is the free shuttle service to and from the airport, which was extremely convenient and reliable. It made arrival and departure completely stress-free, especially when traveling with luggage. Another great benefit was the complimentary public transport travel pass provided during the stay. This made it very easy to explore Geneva without worrying about additional transport costs, and the connectivity across the city is excellent. The hotel itself was clean, modern, and well-maintained. The rooms were comfortable and had everything needed for a short stay. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Overall, it offers great value for money, combining convenience, comfort, and thoughtful perks that genuinely enhance the travel experience.

InterContinental Hotels GENEVE by IHG

I recently spent 8 nights at the InterContinental Genève. Overall, my stay was comfortable, and there were several aspects worth mentioning. The room was quite spacious—especially for a solo traveler like me—which made it easy to settle in and relax during a longer stay. However, the décor felt a bit outdated, and there were areas with noticeable dust, which affected the overall impression of cleanliness. Housekeeping visited the room every day, which I appreciated, but despite the daily service, the room still wasn’t as clean as I would expect from a hotel of this standard—particularly for an 8-night stay. Most of the front desk staff were wonderful. They were polite, attentive, and professional, and their warm service truly enhanced the experience. Unfortunately, there was one exception: a female staff member wearing thick black glasses. Her tone and attitude were not very pleasant, and her facial expressions made the interaction feel uncomfortable, which contrasted sharply with the excellent service from the rest of the team. In summary, while the spacious room—perfect for someone staying alone—and the generally outstanding service were definite positives, the outdated décor, dust, and inconsistent staff attitude are areas that could be improved. My 8-night stay was overall decent, but there is room for improvement to meet the level of quality expected from a hotel in this category.

Good price, good location, decent rooms. Good shuttle bus to and from Airport. Only feedback is to manage the queue at the hotel for the shuttle bus when busy as it is a free for all. People just jump the queue and it is so easy to miss the bus for your flight or connection!

Green Marmot Capsule Hotel Geneva

I had a wonderful stay at the Green Marmot Hotel. The location is excellent, close to plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, pharmacies, and bakeries, so everything you need is nearby. The hotel itself is very clean throughout. Although the room is small, just as described, it suited me perfectly. One downside is that sound travels easily, so you can hear even minor noise from neighbouring rooms, earplugs are definitely helpful. The motion-sensor lights in the corridor were also a bit disruptive, as I’m easily woken by light, so an eye mask is recommended. Additionally, some guests arrive late, so it can get a little noisy. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here.
