"I stayed here for 3 nights in June. The location is excellent, within walking distance of both Hong Kong Station and Central Station. I was also able to walk to the Victoria Peak tram station, although it was a bit of a stroll. However, as shown in the photos, the exterior isn't particularly impressive, and because it's located in the dense urban center of Hong Kong, I got a little lost trying to find it. Regarding the cleanliness of the room, there were two things that bothered me: there was what looked like a strand of hair on a drinking glass, and an open can of juice was left in the refrigerator. While my travel companion and I aren't overly particular, I imagine others might find this off-putting. It felt a bit subpar for what should be a typical four-star hotel. On the positive side, towels and bathrobes were replaced diligently every day. As for amenities, perhaps it's standard in Hong Kong, but there were no toothbrushes provided, which is something to be aware of. Shampoo and conditioner were available, and there was a decent hairdryer. While there was no water in the fridge, there was a kettle with instant coffee and tea. I believe I had the cheapest room, but I was grateful that it came with a bathtub."

"Hotel was very nice, clean and modern. It’s not a mega hotel, which I liked. It’s a smaller boutique hotel with just a couple rooms in each floor, but I think 36 floors high. We were on the 25th floor. I liked the quieter, not-so-touristy location. But there are still a good number of small restaurants close by. And it’s a close walk to busier areas. I would definitely stay here again."

"affordable and good option for your stay in hong kong. room was pretty spacious (compared to the most of HK hotels) and clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful. didnt expect to have a swimming pool and a gym, pleasant surprise for us. and of course, let’s mention the location, walkable distance from Central with all the bars and restaurants, and just a few minutes away you can find a nice park to walk and enjoy the greenery"

"So new! Very clean! No weird smells! And super quiet!! The location is excellent! It's so convenient to get everywhere! If you're heading to Macau or Shenzhen, you just go straight to the Shun Tak Centre – it's super close. Getting around Hong Kong by MTR is also a breeze; it's only about 300 meters to Exit A2 of Sheung Wan station!!! It's incredibly convenient, haha. The hotel is on a high floor, and waiting for the elevator isn't a problem. The air conditioning is very cold, and the shower water is nice and hot. 🥰🥰🥰 Especially after having drinks in Soho, it's only a 10-minute walk back to the hotel! So handy!! 🥰🥰🥰 Plus, there's Luk On Kui nearby for dim sum! Every dish at Luk On Kui is delicious; it's really tasty. The only downside is that the room is a bit small, but compared to all the other advantages, it's hardly worth mentioning."

"I booked a hotel relatively close to Central, and the price was decent for Hong Kong. Of course, the room was very small, but rooms in Hong Kong are generally tiny given how expensive land is here. Other than that, everything else was quite convenient, and overall, it offered good value for money."

"I originally planned to stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, but decided to go with The Madera Hotel - Central instead, as I figured I wouldn't be spending much time at the hotel. This place offers pretty good value for money among hotels near Central. The exterior is currently undergoing renovation, but it didn't really affect my stay. There's a small gym, which is decent enough for a quick workout. The room was quite spacious and even came with a washing machine. The front desk service was excellent; they even allowed an early check-in despite the hotel being fully booked that day. There's also a lounge on the third floor for guests to relax in before check-in or after check-out. ⚠️ The only drawback is that it's not very convenient for guests with large luggage, as it's about a ten-minute uphill walk from the MTR station."

"I stay at the Pottinger when I’m travelling solo to Hong Kong. The location is fantastic. Within walking distance of the best morning Cantonese food and great bakeries and cafes. Social Goods is 1 minute walk away, Matchali close by, Matcha Tokyo etc. super clean and I love the proximity of the view to the neighbouring buildings. No gym or public areas, but you don’t need them. You’re paying for a large bathroom and well proportioned room with a seating area and enough entry corridor to feel spacious. And the location is everything. I feel safe in this area and the immediacy of the hotel to the street is appealing. Easy pick up for Uber. Very friendly staff that know what their job is. Helpful when needed and downstairs is always manned. Bed is comfy but not plush. Pillows are big and comfy. A great hotel to spend time inside when it’s raining you are still connected to the city through the view and can take it easy. I’ll continue to return. Highly recommended especially for solo travel."

"IBIS is great. You can never go wrong booking with them. This specific hotel was in a fantastic location bit of a walk to the metro station but very reasonable. The service itself was great. The rooms were clean spacious and the bed was acceptable. The breakfast was OK personally, I would not opt in. Even though they do have a great variety of food."

LLDXhhhThis hotel is truly a hidden gem with excellent value for money, especially for Hong Kong. The room size isn't small, and while the facilities are a bit dated, they are fully functional and clean. The best part is its superb location! Airport buses, the MTR (subway), and the Ding Ding tram are all nearby. There are also plenty of convenience stores and cha chaan tengs (local cafes) in the vicinity, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The front desk service was also very good, they even gave us coffee vouchers and breakfast. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI am extremely disappointed with my stay at this Nathan hotel. The overall experience was far below my expectations. First, the front desk female staff were impolite and unprofessional during the check-in process. Their attitude made me feel unwelcome from the moment I arrived. To make matters even more disappointing, the day of my check-in was my birthday, and I had hoped to enjoy a pleasant stay. Instead, it turned into a very frustrating experience. After entering my room, I noticed that the air conditioning was not working properly. The room remained uncomfortably warm despite adjusting the temperature. I contacted the hotel, and an engineer came to inspect the air conditioner. He turned off the main power and restarted the system, but the problem remained unresolved. Rather than offering to change my room or provide an effective solution, the hotel simply gave us a fan. Providing a fan is not an acceptable solution to a faulty air conditioning system. The room remained hot and uncomfortable throughout the stay, which seriously affected my comfort, sleep quality, and overall experience. Given the poor service, the lack of professionalism, and the unresolved air conditioning issue, I believe the hotel failed to provide the standard of accommodation that guests should reasonably expect. Another male front desk staff member escorted us to Room 1004 on the Executive Floor. However, the room only had one king-size bed, and the hotel informed us that they could only provide a foldaway bed. This was completely different from the room type I had booked. My reservation was clearly for a room with two double beds, so I do not understand why the hotel failed to provide the room type that I had reserved and confirmed. This caused unnecessary inconvenience and added to my disappointment with the overall stay. The next day, the Duty Assistant Manager offered us two alternative rooms. However, neither of them was satisfactory. The first room was on the 10th floor, but it still had only one king-size bed, which did not match my original reservation. The second room was on the 5th floor and contained four twin beds in the form of two bunk beds. This room was clearly not comparable to the Executive Floor room that I had originally booked and was not suitable for our needs. I made my booking based on the expectation that the hotel would provide the room type that was confirmed in my reservation. Unfortunately, the hotel failed to do so, which significantly affected our stay. In addition to the issues mentioned above, the hair dryer in our room was also defective because the power plug had come loose and could not be used safely. I contacted the front desk to request a replacement hair dryer, but I was informed that the Housekeeping team first needed to come to the room to verify the issue before a replacement could be provided. This unnecessary process caused further inconvenience during our stay. I would, however, like to recognize the professionalism and excellent service provided by the Housekeeping staff and the bellboy. They were polite, helpful, and courteous throughout our stay, and they deserve to be commended for their efforts. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the front desk staff. Their attitude was consistently disappointing from check-in to check-out. The male staff member who assisted us during check-out was also unfriendly and unprofessional. I believe the front desk team requires further customer service training to improve their attitude and the way they communicate with guests. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. I will not stay at Nathan Hotel again, nor will I recommend it to others. I sincerely hope that Trip.com and the hotel will take this complaint seriously and provide a fair resolution to this matter.

NNICK CHEWGreat location, and the room was nice, clean, comfortable, and spacious. Very satisfied! The only minor issue was that being on the first floor, the traffic noise was quite noticeable. If you're sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend a first-floor room. Otherwise, everything else was excellent, and I would definitely choose this place again next time.

EEm_mThe hotel facilities are noticeably dated and showing their age. The air conditioning in the room was particularly loud at night, it made a restful sleep nearly impossible. However the front desk staff was attentive and genuinely helpful. At check-in, she proactively flagged that 10–11am tends to get hectic, and only two lifts were running for the whole building, guests on higher floors should allow at least 20 minutes before checkout to get down. A thoughtful heads up, given my room was on the 31st floor. Checkout the next morning was a bit of a slog. It took nearly 10 minutes just to get a lift down to the lobby.

GGuest UserI knew hotels in Hong Kong are expensive, so since the price for this one was low, I expected wat I paid for. However, basic safety and hygiene were missing. The cleanliness was only moderate at best, but the real issue was seeing rats running along the wires on the ceiling. The booking process was also a mess. l was forced to pay an additional fee just to get a room with a window, simply because it had twin beds instead of a double. It felt like a scam and poor management. The location is perfect tho.

GGuest UserWe was looking for hotel that was centralised to wherever we are looking (Disneyland, Ocean park etc) and we decided to look for hotel at Prince Edward or Mongkok then we found Starphire hotel. The price was affordable and room was clean, just that need about 10mins walk from Prince Edward MTR (Come out from Exit C left side out, keep walk straight till near underneath second highway or have to turn, then turn right and continue walking till see hotel, besides it is ”The Cloud”). Coffee and water was provided 24/7 at level 3 besides check in counter. Breakfast which was bread will be given if go to level 3 in the morning. Overall, it was a pleasant Stay and is happy to revisit if got chance.

BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!

AAnonymous UserI really enjoyed my stay here! It was especially cool for me to stay in this particular building because it's where the famous movie 'Chungking Express' was filmed. That alone makes the place special and gives it a unique vibe. The room was clean, cozy, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly and kept the room cool, which was especially important in the hot and humid weather. I also want to give a special shout-out to the host. He was very welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help. Check-in was quick, and I was even able to check in earlier than the set time.
