This hotel is super conveniently located right next to the Central Market and the Mid-Levels Escalator. The 20-square-meter room is just right for 1-2 people. As a solo traveler, I found it quite spacious, not cramped at all. The room was very clean, and the hotel had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly friendly – not just polite, but genuinely helpful. They lent me a USB charging cable (for free!), pointed me to their favorite local eateries, and let me know about the complimentary coffee. Everything was just perfect. I asked if the curtains could be adjusted for complete blackout, and they handled it that very evening as an emergency. They also communicated it to the next day's staff, and when I returned to the hotel, my room had already been cleaned and the curtain issue resolved. That's fantastic! Things were taken care of without me having to chase them, which shows great responsibility. It’s a convenient 6-minute walk to the Citybus A11 stop, and it's only HKD 41.9 to the airport. What a steal! There are tons of great food options nearby. My main goal in Hong Kong was the old-fashioned Luk On Kui, and it was truly delicious! I also tried the famous Vision egg tarts, but perhaps because my city has a rich selection of Western pastries, they weren't mind-blowing for me. Sticking to the authentic side, I still prefer traditional Hong Kong flavors: wonton noodles, dace fish balls, fish balls, noodles, roasted duck, char siu, salted egg with rice, iced lemon tea, pineapple buns, and all sorts of pushcart dim sum. I just love the vibrant local food scene! **Service**: Excellent. Convenient location with food options right downstairs. The hotel doesn't need to provide breakfast. **Environment**: Cozy. Clean sheets, clean floors, dry bathroom. The design offers just the right amount of perceived spaciousness. Even coming from a 35-square-meter room at the SkyCity Marriott, I didn't feel cramped here; it was perfectly adequate. **Cleanliness**: Excellent. **Facilities**: Very well-maintained. Everything looked sturdy and functional.

I recommend this hotel, not because of its warm service – in fact, I was quite dissatisfied with the front desk staff, who were expressionless throughout and didn't seem friendly or welcoming. However, the hotel offers great value for money and is just a stone's throw from the Zoological and Botanical Gardens, making it incredibly convenient for getting to Central. I was staying in the Kai Tak area of Kowloon and only chose to stay here for one night specifically to visit the gardens, and it was the right choice – the price was affordable and the room size was suitable. However, I do think Hong Kong hotels should learn from their Japanese counterparts; since it's a service industry, a warm and friendly attitude is always necessary. Even if it's just for a few minutes, they should at least pretend! It's no wonder my friends choose to fly directly to Japan for holidays instead of Hong Kong; it truly has a lot to do with the quality and attitude of Hong Kong hotels. Compared to the slippers provided by the hotel and the ones I brought myself, it's as if Hong Kong hotels provide nothing at all... All in all, I would recommend this hotel to friends, and I hope that next time I see the front desk staff, they will combine professionalism with a smile – the two are not mutually exclusive.

The Lan Kwai Fong Hotel is conveniently located at Kau U Fong between Hong Kong Islands's bustling Central and Sheung Wan business districts. The hotel is within walking distance of the popular Soho and Lan Kwai Fong areas and offers convenient access to public transport including the MTR, tram, ferry and public bus. It's also right next to the world's longest covered escalator, which links the Mid-Levels and Soho to Central. The spacious, modern rooms in this Hong Kong hotel, accented with traditional Chinese elements, offer rain showers and iPod docking stations. Some have views of the city or harbor.

First time in this hotel and I am pretty impressed. By HK standard pricing, is reasonable with the size of the room. Not spacious but just enough room to maneuver around the bed. Love the bay window sitting area looking out the window. Surprisingly they offer complimentary good coffee either at the reception or 4th floor Breeezy Lounge. Staff are friendly and efficient. Location is great and walking distance from the AirPort Express.

Hotels in Hong Kong are generally quite small, often only a little over ten square meters. This hotel is actually comparable to a Home Inn in mainland China, and the price is similar to a Home Inn or Hanting in downtown Shanghai. Given that hotels in Hong Kong are quite expensive, this one offers relatively good value for money in Central. So, if I were to rate it by that standard, I'd give it around 4 to 4.5 stars. My main reason for choosing this hotel was its excellent location. Bus 15 to Victoria Peak is just a short walk away. You can also take the A11 bus directly from the airport. Getting to Causeway Bay is just a few stops on the tram. For Stanley, both bus 260 and 6 go directly there. Mong Kok is also directly accessible by MTR. And for Central Pier, the Observation Wheel, and the Star Ferry, there are direct bus routes. The location is just fantastic, so convenient! The hotel provides disposable slippers, disposable toothbrushes, and even a universal adapter, which was a thoughtful touch (though I had brought my own). There were no disposable combs, however.

Excellent team at front desk. Helped with paying for taxi when phone wasn't working. Located in Sheung Wan which is further from Central where we normally stay. Central is a 10 min walk away. Stayed on a weekend and area was quiet. Schragels bagels across the road is amazing for New York style bagels. They supply all the high end hotels. Room was large for Hong Kong. The function of the spaces were good, a lounge with bench and table and out of view kitchenette galley - serves more as a serviced apartment than a hotel. Suits us fine. No frills. Bed was extremely comfortable. Linen was excellent. Great pillows. Wardrobe, whilst large, didn't have hangers and only one robe. We kept our suitcases in the lounge which took up a lot of space. 2 night stay and didn't see the point of unpacking. Bathroom marble is beautiful. High impact for small space. However, function of handles and doors is challenging. We got fingers pinched on bathroom door, shower door, wardrobe doors...unfortunately it's design over function and comfort in this regard. One note, there is no cool/cold water from the sink faucets in kitchen or bathroom. Mailen + Goetz shower amenities super lovely. Small difference that elevated our stay. Wish towels were as luxe as the bedding. I would stay again as the value was there and this area is a combination of commercial and residential so you do get relief on weekends from crowds. Antique street and good restaurants and cafes in the area. We used the laundry facility and it was clean and machines were excellent. Hong Kong is hot. You will need to wash your clothes. View is great. Easy to get an Uber. Gym was compact, clean and functional.

The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's incredibly convenient for getting around. I could walk to Central IFC in about three minutes, and the MTR station was also just a three-minute walk away. Getting to Kowloon, Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha Tsui, or even taking a ferry to Lamma Island was all within easy walking distance. The only downside is that the view isn't anything special since it's such a central location. But for my next trip to Hong Kong, especially if I'm exploring the islands, I'd definitely choose this hotel again.

Due to a last-minute schedule change, I needed to stay overnight in Hong Kong. Based on the City Hall address, this hotel was the closest and most affordable option. I went in expecting the worst at check-in, but I was pleasantly surprised: the room was more spacious and tidier than I'd imagined, located on a higher floor, quiet, and even had a decent view. I didn't experience any of the discrimination mentioned in previous reviews, and aside from a slight musty smell in the room, there's really nothing else to complain about. 👍🏻

Small but perfectly formed! The twin room was indeed tiny, with barely any space to open our luggage. However, it had everything we needed. We were quite satisfied with the cleanliness, and the location was convenient. I particularly loved the strong water pressure in the shower! The only thing I didn't like was how noisy the air conditioning was! We stayed on the 2nd and 3rd floors. Luckily, it was winter so it wasn't cold, and we just turned off the AC to get a good night's sleep.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, and the entrance is very noticeable. It's close to the Wan Chai MTR station, and there are many great restaurants nearby. We arrived a bit early, and the front desk agent, Lina Liu, kindly arranged an early check-in for us since there was a room available. After dropping off our luggage, we were able to go out and explore right away. She also gave each of us a canvas bag; her service was warm and attentive. The room itself was great – clean, tidy, and bright, with disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste provided. As someone with sleep issues, I slept soundly for ten hours. All the front desk staff were very helpful and quick to respond to any requests. There's an outdoor pool and foot bath in the side wing, which was very relaxing for a massage after a day of walking. I didn't take any pictures of the hotel, so the images are of the nearby streetscape. I'll definitely come back again.

YYas_miniThis was my second time staying at the hotel. And I was glad to see the upgraded an refreshed the towels. The hotel itself and room itself is kept well. The bathroom is clean and tidy. Only the half shower door isn’t very practical and all the water still goes out. The rain shower was broken in my room. The bedding was clean and comfy. But only two pillows are provided not 4. One of the towels had orange stains on it . The cleaning could be better as I found the counter tops still stained with glass or can marks . Clearly showing the counter tops were not wiped down. The floor had hair and there was dirt in some corners. The downside of this room is that it gets a lot of condensed. So on returning the floor would have moisture and condensation on it. It was just so annoying. Other than that it’s in a super convenient location.

GGuest UserThis hotel definitely exceeded my expectations! For a price over HKD 1,000, I was expecting a tiny room in Hong Kong, but to my surprise, it was a suite. It had a living room with a sofa, coffee table, and dining table, and the bedroom had a super large bed. Plus, all the details in the bathroom were very clean. The hotel staff were very nice, and their Mandarin was good. Breakfast was semi-buffet style, where you could order one set meal, and all four I tried were delicious. You could even see parrots flying outside the window while having breakfast. The biggest advantage of this hotel is its convenient location. It's about two bus stops from Admiralty Station (or walkable, really), a 200-meter walk from the Peak Tram Macdonnell Road Station, and within walking distance of Hong Kong Park and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. Highly recommend!

AAnonymous UserThe hotel staff were warm and professional. The front desk attendant was particularly helpful; we were a group hoping to stay on the same floor, and he really went out of his way to accommodate us. What truly stands out is finding such a reasonably priced hotel in a place like Hong Kong, where space is at a premium – it's truly a rare find! I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hong Kong. Plus, it's conveniently located right next to Tuen Mun MTR Station, which is a terminal station, making it easy to get anywhere. There's also a Light Rail stop nearby, and multiple bus routes just below the MTR station. It's convenient, affordable, and offers great value for money! 👍👍👍

GGuest UserWe had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. My husband and I stayed in one room, while my parents stayed in another. The bathroom and shower were very clean and comfortable. The view is definitely better on the higher floors — my parents stayed on the 31st floor and had a lovely view, while our room on the 12th floor didn’t have much of a view, but honestly, we were mostly there just to sleep. There was bottled water in the room upon arrival, but when we asked for more the next day, we were told to get it from the gym. Also, the cone-shaped paper cups in the gym were not very practical — that could be improved. On the positive side, the hotel has a gym for those interested. The location is very convenient. We used the tram frequently to explore Hong Kong, and it’s very close to the hotel. There is also a shopping mall nearby, plenty of places to eat, and a supermarket right across the street. The room overall was nice. There was a slight humidity smell, but that seems to be common in Hong Kong. Keeping the air conditioning on helps a lot. It would be great if the hotel had universal power outlets. Greetings from Turkey — Turkish guests would definitely enjoy staying at this hotel.

Rruowen118The hotel is a bit far from popular attractions like Tsim Sha Tsui and Causeway Bay. A HKD 500 deposit is required upon check-in, and they accept RMB. There's a McDonald's, a 'cha chaan teng' (local cafe), and a convenience store nearby, so food options are pretty convenient. There's also a bus stop right outside the hotel; you can take 4 stops to reach Wong Chuk Hang MTR station. Although the room is a bit small, it's very clean. Overall, it's still quite good.

LLuna Blanca Ysmeralda⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at Venetian Hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui! The location is honestly one of the best things about it — it’s right in the center of everything in TST. There are so many food places just outside the building, so finding something to eat was never a problem. The MTR is also very convenient, only about a 2-minute walk from TST Station Exit D2, which made commuting around Hong Kong super easy. If you’re coming from the airport by bus, you can simply stop at bus stop #14 (Mirador Mansion), which is very close to the hostel. Another thing we appreciated was the housekeeping. They collect the trash every day, so when we came back our bins were already clean. They also changed our bedsheets and towels even though we didn’t request it, which was a really nice touch. Just a small tip: they sometimes offer room upgrades when you arrive, but you can always say NO if you want to stick with your budget. We stayed on the 13th floor, and that floor has a free water refilling station (which the other floors don’t have), so that was a big plus for us. The only downside is that the elevator in the building can be very slow, especially during busy hours. But overall, the stay was comfortable, clean, and very convenient. Great option if you’re looking for a budget place in TST!

Bbb1979_2006I booked two adjoining double rooms. Though small, they had everything needed, and the hotel felt quite new and comfortable inside. It's located next to a highway, so there was some noise (rooms facing the small road on the opposite side would probably be quieter). I'd say the air conditioning unit was even louder. For breakfast, they offered one pastry and unlimited coffee refills. There was no bottled water in the room, and toiletries and slippers were not provided. It's about a 10-minute walk to Prince Edward MTR station. The value for money is much better than some of the older hotels.

BbeibeiloveseaComing to Hong Kong this time, I searched for many hotels on Trip.com, but most rooms were tiny and the facilities were outdated. I finally decided to stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel Hong Kong, and as soon as I entered, I was blown away by the sea-view room on the first floor with a large balcony! Stepping out, you're greeted by an endless expanse of clear blue sea – the view is absolutely stunning! 🌊 At night, I enjoyed the sea breeze on the balcony, watching the starry sky, eating fruit, and having drinks. It was so relaxing I didn't want to leave. Getting around from the hotel is super convenient; there's a free shuttle bus directly to the MTR station, making it easy to go shopping, explore, and try out all the amazing local food. The buffet breakfast was a bit simple, so don't have high expectations. Once you're near the MTR station, there are so many Hong Kong delicacies that you'll wish you had more stomachs to try them all. The hotel offers a peaceful retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, with a healing sea view and excellent value for money. The experience was fantastic, and it's definitely on my must-stay list for my next visit to Hong Kong. I'll definitely be back!
