The front desk staff were all smiles, gentle, and incredibly helpful! 👍🙂 The room was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable—we were really pleased. 😃 The hotel's coffee and rice crackers were delicious and affordably priced, so we bought some as souvenirs. Although it's about a 7-10 minute walk from Shuili Train Station (currently closed), that didn't diminish our satisfaction at all! 😀🥳

We had a pleasant stay at Shui Sha Lian Hotel at Sun Moon Lake. The location is excellent — just a short walk to Shui She Pier, making it very convenient for boat rides and lakeside strolls. We booked a lake view room at a very good price, and waking up to the beautiful sunrise over the lake was truly memorable. The room comes with a balcony, where we could sit and enjoy the peaceful view of the lake and surrounding mountains.
There are many food options nearby, though most eateries close before 8pm, so do plan dinner early. The bed was comfortable enough, but the pillows were a little too soft for our liking. We appreciated the in-room drinking water dispenser — very convenient.
Breakfast was simple. However, some items like siew mai and sweet potato tasted a bit frozen rather than freshly prepared.
The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Shui She Visitor/Bus Station, making it easy to travel by bus to Taichung, Puli, or Cingjing. Overall, it’s a convenient and value-for-money stay. Highly recommended!

The Hostel itself was awesome. Well kept, well laid out and great amenities.
Unfortunately, check-in was way more stressful than necessary. By default their check-in ends at 7:00, which in our case we ran into some issues related to public transport up to Sun Moon Lake, which is pretty normal.
This led to a situation where we did not know if we would have a place to sleep if we went up the mountain on the last bus, or if we should simply give up. Eventually we connected with the team and we're able to organise a late self-check-in. If this was simply offered from the get-go we would have requested it, and this stay would have been 5/5. However, it was 4/5.

Very friendly and accommodating front desk lady. The location is perfect for all you wish to do in town and just above the pier. Self-service washer and dryer available to use at a reasonable price. The name of the hotel as listed online needs to be corrected or better identified at the hotel physically. Keep in mind not all rooms have a window view apparently, if that matters to you. The accommodations were clean and more than sufficient with a modern air conditioning system in the room.

The family-friendly room felt very warm and cozy. The owner, an auntie, was lovely, explained everything well, and was very helpful. The king-sized bed offered a beautiful view of the lake. There's a balcony with a table, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere. The room was fully equipped with amenities. Most importantly, the breakfast was spectacular and incredibly delicious! I'll definitely be back to stay here again in the future.

It's right in front of Shuili Railway Station and next to Shuili Passenger Transport. The transportation is relatively convenient. The room is comfortable and large. The most important thing is that it has a bathtub, which is deep enough to take a hot bath to eliminate the fatigue of the day. Great!

Great location right by the pier, with easy access to restaurants and shops. If you get a lake view room, the sunrise is amazing and the value for money is pretty good. The only downside was that a neighbor on their balcony was smoking, and the smell was hard to avoid. Parking is available at the nearby Zhongxing connected lot, which isn't too far of a walk.

Location-wise, it's very close to Shuishe Matou, and the price is genuinely much cheaper than other hotels.
So the old facilities are acceptable (the showerhead broke down during showering XD).
If budget is a concern, you can choose to book online in advance for a cheaper price.
Breakfast is an extra NT$120; there are breakfast shops outside.
You can buy breakfast and eat in the lobby.
Parking is an extra NT$300, but free parking is available if you have a bicycle; you can negotiate with the bicycle rental shop.
You don't need to choose the bicycle rental shop affiliated with this hotel, as it doesn't matter whether there's a accommodation discount or not. You can compare prices from several other hotels yourself.

GGuest UserAs with the other reviews, the service here is amazing. You have the option to have your breakfast delivered to your room. During check-in, the staff will personally bring you to your room. If you arrived early or plan to leave sun moon lake much later after check out, you can leave your bags or luggage to the staff to keep. Staff here also offers tickets to the ferry, bicycle rental, cable car and other services available. The only con is that there is no lakeview, but everything else is very accessible. Bus station, Ferry station, 7-11 and restaurants are just a few minutes walk from the hotel. As for the room itself, the toilet is equipped with bidet. There's also some snacks and teabags for you. Electric mosquito repellent is also available if there's a need to, but I did not encounter any bugs in the room. Room is also modernly designed and most importantly, clean and bugs-free! Bed is of soft and comfortable type. I nearly dozed off while lying on bed. Wifi's strong as well. Would highly recommend to others who plans to visit sun moon lake. This hotel has almost everything you need, convenience, amazing service, and good food.

GGuest UserGreat location, super close to everything in Ita Thai. Rooms are SO SPACIOUS! I’m 5’4 and I could almost stand up in the pod. There’s even room for your bags next to the bed and the whole pod locks so you don’t have to spay for a separate locker.
Staff are friendly. Everything is clean, especially the bathroom/shower room. There’s a kitchen area on ground floor and a rooftop. It wasn’t a sociable hostel really, but I wasn’t there for that so it was perfect.

XXinluoyuanThe highlight of choosing the Fleur de Chine Hotel at Sun Moon Lake was the complimentary shuttle service to and from Taichung HSR station. Besides the excellent service and beautiful scenery, the hotel rooms not only have their own hot springs but there's also a public hot spring for guests to enjoy. Breakfast is served until 12 PM, and dinner includes a complimentary bottle of wine per table. The beds in the rooms are incredibly comfortable, and the mini-fridge is stocked with free drinks. In the afternoon, there's a shuttle bus service to the pier, and if you want to take the round-the-lake bus, they even provide a free one-day pass. The shuttle back to Taichung departs at 12 PM, so I regrettably didn't get a chance to visit many attractions. I'll definitely come back if I have the opportunity.

AArtLLocation is super convenient, barely 50m from the 7-eleven and SML's Nantou Bus Ticketing counter where Nantou Bus 6670 from Taichung drop passengers. The ground floor of the B&B is a elegantly decorated tea-shop and had a pleasant whiff of red-dates chinese tea, very welcoming on a hot day. Our room was nicely renovated, very cosy and clean, well laid out, with Taiwan cable channels and Youtube smart TV box. It has modern toilet fittings and very refreshing lightly scented shampoo and body wash in dispensers. The lady at the counter (小芸) was absolutely helpful. She sold us discounted ferry tickets compared to buying from the counters at the pier, explained activities to do and places to visit and boat/bus routes around SML when we arrived and gave us a WhatsApp to contact her for any queries. She also advised us to visit Itashao to taste the street foods for lunch and recommend places for dinner through WhatsApp after returning to Shiushe without pushing us to visit the restaurants nor buy tea from the shop. Truly warm ********* hospitality and the best part of staying in this B&B.

CChang Yoke LengThe hotel is situated within 3 minutes walk from Ita Thao Ferry Pier. We stayed 2 nights at the high floor lake view room and enjoyed the fantastic and serene view from our balcony. The room is spacious, clean and have comfortable beds. The night market and shops are just downstairs with plenty to eat and shop.
If you enjoy calm, peace and relax stay, you should stay in this nice hotel.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, making it convenient to get around and explore the area. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and helpful, which made the stay pleasant and welcoming. The bathroom appears to have been renovated recently and is clean and modern.
However, the carpet in the room and in the common areas are quite dated and does not meet current standards. An update would significantly improve the overall comfort and impression of the room. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay thanks to the location and service, but some room upgrades—particularly the carpet—would make a noticeable difference.

SShangjhenThe environment is serene, blending seamlessly with nature. Breakfast offers a wide variety, but the taste is just average. Soundproofing is a bit poor, and the lighting at night is slightly insufficient. There's a water dispenser, which is convenient. There are quite a few mosquitoes and bugs in the mountains, so I suggest adding screens to the doors or installing screen doors.

XXander WangA well equipped hotel in a quiet spot in town. Conveniently located off the main road with a great buffet breakfast and dinner. Service was great.
The upkeep of rooms could have been a little better as some amenities were a little worn, such as the carpet and console. Loved the onsen water in the bathtub.
The children appreciated the complementary jelly cups and cookies left for us each day.
