Initially i thought the location of the hotel was a little off but it was not far from Taipei main station if you take the TRA, its just 1 station(much faster than taking the green line train) . And you can take the green line to go anywhere conveniently like ximen(direct line) or can change to other lines as well.. There are some convenience stores, food places and all around Songshan station so it is quite convenient to stay here .. Its about 5-10 mins walk from the station to the hotel . Upon reaching the lobby, two male staffs on duty were welcoming and friendly .
My room was spacious, clean and nice ! Although a little dusty on the bed frame but everything else were clean .. Room had disposable slippers, small open wardrobe, kettle with coffee tea and mineral water bottles . Tv was huge . Can just connect to our own youtube/Netflix and nice to watch movie ! There were huge mirrors near the Tv and opposite the bed but I don't prefer having mirrors opposite the bed but its fine .. Iron board can be requested from the reception if you need it .
Bathroom is clean and spacious too but with only shower gel and shampoo provided(bring your own toiletries) . The shower gel and shampoo smelled really good - like in a spa feeling . 😍 Hair dryer was provided too !
The lobby was spacious with a sofa and some tables and chairs for guests to relax or have our drinks there . There were free amenities at the lobby such as coffee machine, water dispenser, some of their local snacks and even cold drinks in the fridge ! Also, they can help to heat up our foods for us, you just need to ask them for help .. All these amenities are really helpful for guests . Such an amazing service ! 👍
Raohe night market is nearby too, about 10 mins walk if you looking for street foods or some retail shops etc ..
The housekeeping aunty was a nice and sweet lady .. she probably can speak minimal english only but just show her the things that you need her to topup if you dont need her to clean your room .. 🥰
Upon checking out, we can leave our luggage and bag there at the lobby and they will pass you a small paper/card for you to retrieve back your things later . The female staffs there were kind and helpful too .
Overall, its been a wonderful stay here ! Will stay here again next time . Xiexie ni, CCSH ! 💛

Welcome to our comfortable place!Located in Raohe Night Market, a gourmet paradise, the kitchen you want is downstairs! Good place for dinner and supper~Convenient transportation is a major advantage. It is located in a major hub of trains, railways and MRT. It is very convenient to go for a picnic in the distance or to go shopping in the nearby business district.

The location is great, right downstairs from Raohe Street Night Market. The room has a washing machine, a refrigerator, a bar counter, and a coffee table. It's very comfortable to bring food back from the night market and eat it here. The only downside is that the bathroom isn't a wet/dry separation, and there's no barrier, so the toilet gets wet every time you shower. There are USB charging ports in the room, which is handy if you forget your adapter.

Every time I visit Taipei, I usually stay here! The location is so convenient, and there are plenty of food options around! It's super close to Raohe Street Night Market, which I absolutely love. Perfect for a food crawl or grabbing some takeaways back to the hotel. The cleanliness is just so-so, though; germaphobes might not be too happy. But for me, the convenience and affordability make up for the slight lack of cleanliness – it's totally acceptable.

The location is great and very convenient for getting around. Overall, it was clean and tidy, and both check-in and check-out were smooth. The only downside was that the room was a bit small, but the overall stay was still good.

We booked 6 rooms and stayed 3 nights. After we checked out and about to board the flight homebound one of us found out that his had left his wallet in the hotel's room. We called the hotel and although they had found the wallet, however they did not contact us immediately (so we may return to hotel before heading to the airport). Also they were not willing to return the wallet to us by courier, and require us to arrange courier to come and collect by ourselves. We then asked them to assist packing the wallet for safety (due to cash, credit cards, ID involved) but they also refused to assist. We are rather disappointed for the hotel's unhelpful behaviour and attitude, if they can contact us at first instance then it can save all of us time and costs. Hope the management can review and improve their quality.

overall, it was an average experience. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with surprisingly good soundproofing that made it easy to rest. I also appreciated the in-room coffee machine, which was a convenient touch for a quick morning pick-me-up. However, being located in the basement made the room feel a bit dark, and the bathroom facilities could be more modern, as the toilet was not a washlet.
The breakfast offered was quite limited, and the service left something to be desired. While the staff were present, they did not proactively check on guests or offer assistance, and there was little interaction or friendliness. Simple gestures like greetings, smiles, or help with luggage were missing, which made the overall experience feel less welcoming. Additionally, during breakfast, food was cleared promptly at the set time without asking if guests were still eating or wanted more, which could have been handled more thoughtfully.
On the positive side, the hotel provides the essentials for a short stay, and the rooms are quiet and functional. For travelers prioritizing comfort and a clean environment, this hotel is acceptable, but I feel that improved hospitality and more attention to guest experience would make a significant difference. Service really matters in hospitality, and it’s the area where this property could improve the most.
Good:
- Very spacious room; was able to lay out all items in the room when packing my luggage.
- There is also this ventilation machine in the toilet which not only help to clear fog after a shower, but also has a heater function.
- Very good location; with 7-11, family mart and many food options just below the hotel. Near Raohe night market which is one of the most popular night market in Taipei. Near train station which makes it very accessible.
Bad:
- Place looks unsettling; ceiling looks half done (not sure if this is the style they are going for).
- Rather noisy at night, air-conditioner and fridge makes noises which was alright after I fell asleep. But in addition, there is this alarm from the air-conditioner which startled me and woke me up from my sleep multiple times.
- Bed was slightly on the harder side.
- Only 1 lift so may have to wait rather long during peak periods. Lift has to stop at level 2 (front counter) every time you want to head out which wasted a bit of time.

The location is very close to the MRT station, making it convenient even with luggage. Free parking is available, which is also convenient. Breakfast offers both Western and Chinese options, and you can eat your fill. The bathroom even has a steam room, a unique experience. The soundproofing is good, but the pillows are a bit high and firm!

The location is fantastic! It's just a 2-minute walk from Hou Shan Pi MRT station. Check-in at the front desk was a breeze, and they even offer private car services to Yehliu, Jiufen, and Shifen.
The breakfast selection was a bit limited, but the Braised Pork Rice (Lu Rou Fan) was absolutely delicious and quite unique! 😋
The room overall was on the smaller side, but it had everything I needed, including a fridge, and the soundproofing was good, so it wasn't noisy. Just a heads up, they don't provide disposable toiletries, so remember to bring your own!

Outstanding
FFengzhiguijiThe room layout is well-designed, and the location is convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Taipei.
KkhtravelThe hotel's interior decor is stunning, with a strong Japanese feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, featuring a private onsen and yukata. Plus, there are complimentary drinks and snacks. If you check in around 3 PM, you can enjoy a tea ceremony performance with free green tea and snacks. Breakfast offers a wide and delicious selection!
SStella_CThe location is amazing! From Taipei Main station exit Z2 or M6. Go to the building and reception is at level 5. Many food places nearby, including local and international chains, and Starbucks as well. Staff are generally friendly. However, we were plagued by mosquitoes in the room everyday and every night, had to keep fighting them. The air con control panel is a dud. It's actually central air conditioning yet they just told us it is slow to adjust. As a result we were freezing through the first part of the night then too warm for the 2nd part. When it gets too cold, even if we turn off the air con, we can feel the cold air continue to come out of the vents. When I asked if it's possible to change room, reception claimed they were fully booked. Not my best stay in Taiwan I'm afraid. I guess its great for those who prefer rooms constantly around 21-22 Celcius.
GGuest UserThe location is fantastic, right opposite the Y13 exit. First off, you'll need to climb stairs to reach the service counter as there's no elevator. The bathroom is en-suite, and they provide lockers. As for the bed setup, there's a small space at the head for personal items, and extra room at the foot of the bed for your luggage, backpack, and other belongings, which really helps create a more private feel. They offer a simple breakfast including toast, buns, shaomai, coffee, and tea.
SSiva Rama 256Check in takes only 5 minutes and check out much more faster with 10 seconds with a self check out machine that will suck in your room card.
Check in gets faster with your reply to the property telling them what type of room you have booked and what time you'll arrive. With booming businesses and too many bookings, the staff might get entangled in mess, so partially you reply is helping them to get grounded and avoid mistakes.
The property is clean, neat, nice and next to easy transport and family mart and 7e.
AAnonymous UserA Fun and Funky Stay in the Heart of Taipei
I had a great stay at Hotel PaPa Whale! The hotel's style is really unique and quirky, which makes it stand out from your typical business hotels. The location is absolutely fantastic. It’s just a short 7-minute walk to Ximen Station, making it super convenient to get around the city, and being right on the edge of Ximending means you're in the middle of all the action, shopping, and nightlife.
Location: You really can't beat it for exploring Taipei. The Ximending pedestrian area is literally a few minutes' walk away, so you're surrounded by endless food options. Whether you're looking for a late-night snack, trendy cafes, or authentic ********* street food, you'll find it all right on your doorstep. The proximity to the MRT station is a huge plus for day trips too.
Room & Atmosphere: The room was a decent size, especially for Taipei, and we had plenty of space for our luggage. The vibe is modern and playful. The most... memorable feature was definitely the large mirror on the ceiling above the bed. It certainly adds a fun, slightly ”kinky” twist to the room's atmosphere! It’s a bold design choice that fits the hotel's overall playful and unconventional personality.
Bathroom: One of the highlights was the bathroom. It was impressively large, very clean, and well-appointed, with good water pressure in the shower. It felt more like a boutique hotel bathroom than a standard city hotel one.
Overall: Hotel PaPa Whale is a solid 4-star experience. It combines a prime location, a clean and comfortable room with a fun twist, and a great bathroom. If you're looking for a memorable stay right in the heart of Taipei's most vibrant district, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended for couples or anyone looking for something a little different.
AAllanYongSoonTzek93I had a really enjoyable stay at MeWorld of Taipei, and overall it was a very positive experience from start to finish. The accommodation was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, making it a comfortable place to come back to after long days exploring the city. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt welcoming and well organized, which immediately gave me peace of mind.
One of the highlights for me was the convenience of the location. Getting around Taipei was easy, with public transport, food options, and convenience stores all within walking distance. This made daily planning very flexible, whether I was heading out early in the morning or returning later at night. The area felt safe and lively, yet quiet enough to rest properly.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered patiently, and communication was smooth and clear. Check‑in and check‑out were straightforward and hassle‑free, which is something I really appreciate when traveling. It’s clear that the team takes pride in keeping the place comfortable and pleasant for guests.
The room itself was comfortable, tidy, and suitable for resting or working, with everything I needed for a short or longer stay. The environment was calm and relaxing, making it easy to sleep well despite being in a busy city like Taipei. I also appreciated how clean the common areas were, showing good attention to hygiene and maintenance.
Overall, MeWorld of Taipei offers great value for money and is a solid choice for travelers looking for comfort, convenience, and a smooth stay experience. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taipei and would happily recommend it to friends, whether they are traveling solo, with family, or for work.
AAnonymous UserThe location is pretty good, very close to Beiche/Ximen Station, and there are many convenience stores, fruit shops, and restaurants downstairs. The only drawback is that I specifically booked a room with a window, but when I opened the curtains, it was just a solid wall, LOL, I was speechless!
GGuest UserThis hotel is super convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Taipei Main Station's M2 exit. You can easily walk to Ningxia Night Market and Ximending in about 20 minutes, and even Dihua Street if you're up for it. Popular spots like Fuhang Soy Milk and Shuangyue Food Company are also within walking distance, so you'll have no trouble finding great food and shopping from morning till night.
The guest rooms are located on the 5th to 7th floors of a multi-purpose building. While the double bed takes up most of the room, making it quite compact, there's a small indoor balcony-like space at the back. It has a compact table and chairs, perfect for eating takeout, and enough room to open your suitcase.
GGuest UserThe front desk staff are helpful in general, but the cleanliness of the room still needs big improvement.
I found screw on the floor, then something like ‘ash’ on the coffee table.
The door, if not closed super tightly, will remain open without notice.
