H MatthiasMelter was the best place I stayed in throughout my Germany trip. It was in the centre of the old town, right above the Lorenzkirche U-bahn, 3-5 mins walk from the Hauptbahnof, and only steps away from everything you might need - bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and all the highlights. It's a 10-15 min slightly uphill but beautiful walk to the Castle.
The property was extremely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and stylish. Was given an upgrade by Jacqueline (or Jackie) to a studio with a kitchenette overlooking a quaint street; good for cooking. Spacious room, comfortable bed, and beautiful bathroom with nice soaps. Only complaint could be that some rooms (216-219) are not accessible by lift, and require a winding (confusing at first) walk through long corridors to reach, but it was OK for me. Laundry room also had detergent provided; gym was adequate. Did not have breakfast, but had lunch twice at Monki downstairs - impeccable ramen.
Overall, this would be a great choice when in Nuremberg. Affordable, beautiful, comfortable, and convenient; and lovely staff - everyone of them took great care of me. Even granted late checkout. Will highly recommend this place.

Just 3 blocks from the metro station and right in the heart of Nuremberg's historic center. Don’t even think twice—the rooms are huge, quiet, and cozy. The level of cleanliness is outstanding; all the facilities are spotless, beautiful, and everything works perfectly. I highly recommend booking with breakfast included—it’s very affordable.

This hotel boasts an excellent location. It's super easy to get to – just take the U2 subway from the airport, get off at Nuremberg Central Station, and it's only a 100-meter walk. The whole journey from the airport takes less than 20 minutes. The hotel is also directly opposite the Old Town, which is definitely worth exploring multiple times. I was in Nuremberg for an exhibition, and getting there was a breeze; the hotel is just 4 stops on the U1 subway, a quick five-minute ride. The hotel itself is clean and the facilities are great. My only minor critique would be that the breakfast selection seemed a bit limited for a hotel of this standard.

I found it just a short walk from DB station.
It's also about a 10-minute walk to the old town.
The B&B breakfasts weren't very appealing so I ate outside.
The room key is a pin code so it's easy.
Nothing special was done when checking out.

YouyouccThe most delightful surprise was the apple provided every night before bed. It truly warmed my heart while being in a foreign country. Thank you. I hope this continues. The breakfast was plentiful. There's a supermarket across the street, which was great for buying vegetables. The community center green space and historic buildings behind the hotel made for a wonderful post-dinner stroll.

Anonymous UserConvenient location, close to flixbus stop, hpf and town centre. Luggages can be stored before check-in, free of charge but the area is unlocked. No check-out process is needed because they use password code instead of card key.

the biggest problem of this hotel is there is no front desk service. If you are foreign travelling without a German mobile, it will cost you a fortune for you to call the front desk. Also the lady behind the phone, I think, is a Russian. Unless you are a English speaker, it will be quite difficult for you to understand her. Also the wifi availability in each room depends on whereabout your room is. Other than that, there is really nothing to complain about.

The room is not small, but the facilities are too simple. There is nothing except two rolls of paper towels in the toilet. And every day, facing the same German breakfast, I just want to go home quickly. The most important thing is that the price of this hotel is ridiculously expensive during the exhibition. If the room rate is not so expensive, everything else is not a problem.
