"I was a bit worried because of some bad reviews, but the reception staff were incredibly friendly and the hygiene was perfectly fine. The bedding was soft and clean. They even cleaned the room and tucked my doll back into bed for me ☺️ haha. The only downside is there’s no shower head 😭. Aside from that, I had a great time at an excellent location for a good price. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. It's fantastic! There’s a Mercadona supermarket right in front, and the subway station and restaurants are all nearby. The shower is a minor inconvenience, but I highly recommend it!! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼❤️❤️"

"The room was quite spacious, but the bathroom facilities were a bit dated. The shower, which was converted from a bathtub, only had a half-glass screen, so water easily splashed everywhere. The hotel's breakfast was very good, with a rich variety of options and excellent service. There was also complimentary lemonade available in the hotel lobby. The location is fantastic, very close to Barcelona Cathedral and Palau de la Música Catalana. The Gothic Quarter's various alleys are also great for exploring, with an abundance of restaurants and coffee shops."

"The apartment was okay, great location, about 15-20 mins walk to Pg. de Gràcia & Plaça de Catalunya. There is no staff at the apartment, the entrance code was received before check-in. There is an elevator for travellers with luggage. The apartment was tidy but some areas were a little dusty. Soundproofing was pretty bad even with the windows closed. There is a welcome pack given with oil, salt, pepper etc. Dishwashing liquid and 1 laundry pod was given as well. There is also dishwashing tablet, even though there's no dishwasher in the apartment. However, there is no kitchen towel. Bathroom amenities were also very minimal for our 4-night stay. Drying rack was also broken. Additionally, there is a security deposit of €300, they only returned it more than a week later after messaging and reminding them. I doubt they will return the deposit if I didn't ask."

"Facilities: This is by far one of the most modern hotels I've stayed at in Europe, but the bed was ridiculous. The double room had two single beds pushed together (the duvets were tucked in separately under each mattress, leaving a huge gap in the middle). Environment: I'm not sure if it's because mine was a basic room type or for some other reason (the front desk didn't ask me about the view when I checked in), but I got a low-floor room facing the gap between two buildings. (I didn't know it would have this kind of window before checking in, so I didn't mention it; I've lived in Spain for half a year and never seen buildings with windows directly facing each other like that.) The window looked directly onto the windows of the building opposite. Picture 3 shows the lighting at 3 PM, which looked like nighttime. I was too tired from carrying two suitcases to bother going back downstairs to change rooms. Hygiene: On the surface, it looked very clean, and it felt like the staff had cleaned diligently. However, the bathroom had a strong moldy, damp smell from the drain. I mentioned it to the front desk when I went out, and they said they'd send someone to deal with it. When I got back, I found they'd just sprayed some air freshener. Once the freshener scent dissipated, the drain smell returned. Judging by the front desk's reaction, it seems many guests have reported the same issue; while I was still describing the situation, she interjected and said, 'lo mismo' (the same). Other facilities: There's a paid minibar, and no complimentary bottled water or drinking water was provided. There were coffee and tea bags. There were NO charging outlets by the bed!!! I had to charge my devices by the desk or on the wall under the TV. Service: Every front desk staff member was very friendly, and they offered luggage storage."

"From BCN airport, we took the express bus to Plaza Catalonia. Then we walked a hood 15mins distance to the accommodation. It's not a full service hotel, some sort like an inn or hostel. We were mentally prepared to carry our luggage up the stairs but thankfully the building has a small elevator. The check in desk is located on the 4th floor so you have to ring the bell at the entrance for them to unlock the main door downstairs. Check in was fast. The size of the room is just right for 2 people to stay but the balcony is the highlight. All 3 staffs we met were friendly and very accommodating. It's easy to get around as the city bus stops and metro stations are just around the area."

"I booked 3 nights, mainly because I saw a photo of a swimming pool on Trip.com. However, when I arrived, the staff told me there is no pool at all, and that the image shown online was not part of their hotel. This was very disappointing. When I went to report this, I saw that the photo had already been removed from the listing, which made it harder to prove. Regarding the deposit, I paid in cash at check-in. To be fair, I forgot to ask about it during check-out. After I returned home, I emailed the hotel, and they replied saying the refund would be processed via bank transfer. However, at the time of writing this review, I still haven't received the money. Additionally, I had booked a twin room, but I was informed that children were not permitted in that room type. I admit it was written in the booking, but it wasn't obvious. The hotel charged us an additional €49 per night to upgrade to a triple room. However, on the first night, we still had to sleep in the original twin room, even though we had already paid for the triple. We only moved to the triple room on the second and third nights. The invoice was only sent on the second day, which made it confusing – I initially thought I wouldn’t be charged the first night. Ultimately, I contacted Trip.com's customer service, and they were helpful, offering partial compensation. I appreciate their support, but I believe future guests should be aware of these issues."

"The most satisfying hotel from my Barcelona trip! Considering its quality and location, it's probably the best value for money among all the hotels I compared. It's right in front of the cathedral square, and the subway is super convenient. The breakfast offers a wide variety, and it's much more cost-effective if included in the room rate than buying it separately. The shampoo and lotion are from Bulgari. The front desk asked us beforehand if we preferred a street-view room or a quieter one facing inwards. Street-view rooms can be a bit noisy but come with a balcony that offers a view (my room type was a bit to the side). The hotel room also has a free capsule coffee machine. The rooftop bar is very popular because of its great views, but you have to make a purchase to stay. Housekeeping is very clean. The only downside is that laundry costs extra and isn't cheap. The elevator is quite small, fitting a maximum of 3-4 people. I had originally planned to stay a night in a nearby town and pick up my luggage the next day, but the front desk said they couldn't store overnight luggage, which is understandable."

"We stayed for 5 nights and had a great time. We enjoyed the stay as the location is within walking distance for food, shops and near the Metro station. The buffet serves 24 hours is awesome as in the middle of the night, we could just walk-in and enjoy the drinks and snacks and chit-chat. The counter staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall we have a great time during the stay!"

"We booked a quad room, and the environment was fantastic. The external bathroom was also very clean and convenient. The room itself was tidy, beautiful, and comfortable, featuring one double bed and two single beds. The room was spacious with high ceilings, making it feel very grand and comfortable. We were immediately impressed by the two floor-to-ceiling balcony doors – they added a wonderful touch. Opening the doors revealed a truly lovely balcony with a beautiful view. The surrounding area has excellent public transport links, and we could walk to Casa Batlló and Casa Milà in just a few minutes. It’s very close and convenient to many nearby attractions. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, and we could store our luggage for free, which was very kind of them."

"This hotel truly has it all! Located conveniently on a corner, it's perfectly situated for easy access to dining and shopping. I even got to enjoy Cheese99, a popular spot, every day. Plus, it's within walking distance of Gaudí's masterpieces: Sagrada Família (25-30 minutes), Casa Batlló (15-20 minutes), and Casa Milà (10-15 minutes). The service deserves a special mention. They were able to book tickets for a football match, and I was incredibly lucky to catch Barcelona playing Copenhagen at home. This included round-trip transfers from Camp Nou to the hotel. Although I interacted with four different staff members for inquiries, confirmation, payment, and transfers (due to different shifts), they all maintained excellent communication throughout. It made for an unforgettable and wonderful evening. I truly experienced the magic of football – the players' agility, their teamwork, varied passing, and the unpredictable, thrilling score changes. The stadium was packed with fans, their cheers and enthusiasm palpable, singing and dancing with genuine passion for the sport! ⚽"

Amazing
AAdventure TravellerWhat a lovely hotel, the crews from their morning breakfast service to the reception, are really excellent and they make you feel welcome and appreciated. They got us a nice little upgrade to our rooms which is a nice gesture. We stayed there for 4 nights and certainly enjoyed our stay. Quite the view from the rooftop bar, and location is truly the gem. Located on the Main Street, good security and walking distance to many places of interest in the City centre of Barcelona. I can’t recommend this hotel enough! 💙

AAndrea_tutiangeThe room was exactly as shown on the booking page. What you see is what you get. Toiletries and disposable slippers were also provided. We arrived late on our first day and didn't have time to buy water, so the hotel gave us a bottle, which was very nice! We booked a standard double room, but it had a small balcony overlooking the pool and outdoor restaurant. The view was lovely. The security was also very good; nothing was lost during our several nights. We also noticed that the automatic door at the entrance was manually controlled by the front desk, so unauthorized people wouldn't be able to get in.

GGuest UserThis was my very first time planning a solo trip abroad, and I was admittedly quite anxious after paying the full price and then reading some mixed reviews. Since the policy didn’t allow cancellations, I checked in with a bit of worry—but I’m really glad I did. The room turned out to be pleasantly clean and well-organized. I particularly liked the layout: there are two doors between the bedroom and the bathroom, which gave me a strong sense of privacy and security while resting. Another highlight was the lovely scent in the room—it instantly made me feel at ease and almost like being at home. (If possible, I’d love to ask what kind of aroma sachet or air freshener is used—I’d like to buy the same one!) During mid-November, the evenings in Barcelona were slightly chilly, but the heating/air-conditioning unit in the room worked well and kept things comfortable. That said, when the unit is turned on, there’s a noticeable mechanical noise—it’s not too loud and didn’t disturb my rest, but worth mentioning. I also appreciated how responsive the staff were. On my first night, I thought the external shutter in the room was broken. I reported it to the front desk, and the manager quickly sent someone to assist. It turned out the shutter was manually operated by a cord hidden behind the inner curtain on the far right—easy to miss at first glance. Although the hotel isn’t in the city center, transportation was convenient—there’s a nearby bus stop within walking distance, with easy access to both the metro and Sants train station. A nice bonus: just a 3-minute walk away is a bakery called Joncake & Wine, a branch of the famous Joncake. Their Basque cheesecake is incredible, and being a branch, it’s much less crowded than the main store. There’s also a small convenience store right downstairs—great for picking up water or other essentials. One downside would be the soundproofing. The walls and floors seem quite thin, so I could hear voices and footsteps from the neighboring room. It wasn’t too disruptive for me, but worth noting. Originally, I only planned to stay three nights, but I ended up liking it enough to extend for another three. Overall, this stay exceeded my expectations and became a memorable part of my solo trip to Spain.

Mmasoud jamDue to our late flight, we arrived at the hotel around 1 a.m. The receptionist on duty was a very kind and friendly young lady who welcomed us warmly. Unfortunately, our request for hotel slippers could not be accommodated. Since it was very late and we were exhausted, we went straight to bed. The next morning, however, we noticed that the room was not particularly clean, especially the bathroom, where there were some hairs on the floor and around the sink. After speaking with the morning reception staff, housekeeping cleaned the room and the issue was resolved. The hotel’s location is very good, with easy access to the city center even on foot. Public transportation connections are also excellent, with both bus and metro stations conveniently nearby. The breakfast was fairly basic and nothing special. The hotel photos advertise a rooftop swimming pool, and there are indeed pictures of it, but in reality it is more like a small plunge pool than an actual swimming pool, as it is quite small. Overall, our stay was decent and in line with what you would reasonably expect from a 3-star hotel, but not more than that. We later realized that for a similar price, it is possible to find 4-star hotels in Barcelona with slightly better facilities and amenities.

GGuest UserThe room was quite spacious; my friend and I had no problem opening up both our suitcases. The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, making showers and hair washing quite comfortable. The location is pretty good too – a bit far from the subway but there's a bus stop right outside. It's super convenient for getting to Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, and Sagrada Família. The area feels safe, with plenty of food and drink options nearby. The staff were very friendly and spoke English fluently, so communication was a breeze. However, there were a few issues. Firstly, there was no shower curtain for the bathtub, so the bathroom floor was soaked every time we showered, and it got quite chilly after a while. Secondly, the duvet didn't have a proper cover; instead, two sheets were used above and below it, and all three layers were tucked in so tightly under the mattress by the staff that we had to struggle to pull the duvet out every night. We ended up asking the front desk not to make our beds for the rest of our stay. Though, I hear this duvet cover situation might be common in Europe. Lastly, the soundproofing was really poor. We were lucky our neighbors weren't too noisy, and my friend and I aren't particularly sensitive to sound, but you could honestly hear every little thing happening next door. All in all, it was a mixed bag, but for the price and location, we couldn't really expect much more.

GGuest UserIt was a very clean accommodation and plenty of towels were provided. It was a little inconvenient because laundry was done in a shared facility on the 5th floor, and I was a little disappointed that they assigned me a room with a rear view without even asking how many rooms had a view of the Sagrada. There is a rest area and a pool on the rooftop, so it would be nice when the weather is nice. The location is far from major tourist attractions, so it's a bit inconvenient to take the subway every day, so if I had to do it again, I think I'd pick it near Plaza Catalunya.

GGuest UserThe room itself was really good: clean, comfortable and spacious. However, my first impression of the stay and the stuff of the hotel was suboptimal, which coloured the whole experience.  I arrived at the hotel at about 1 p.m. First thing that surprised me was the fact that there were actually 2 hotels and only one of them had a check-in desk, to find which I had to ask around. When I finally arrived at the reception, I was second in line as there were some people checking out. While I was waiting a family (parents and a child) came in, and then one more group of travellers arrived. When the receptionist was done with the people who were before me, I asked to be checked in. In response, I got told that she was going to check the family in first. She wasn’t apologetic or nice about, she told me this as if that was what always happened and not that people got served in the order of their arrival. I am sure the family really appreciated what she’d done and I wouldn’t have minded either if that action was followed with acknowledgement of this not being okay and an offer of some services to recover their reputation. Not only had I not got an apology or anything like that but also I was again bypassed for registration as the receptionist decided to invite 5 people who came in later on to check them out. At that point me and other people in the line were quite baffled by the behaviour and understood that there was nothing fair about this interaction. After I was  finally checked in and went back to the other side of the street for my hotel, the room pleasantly surprised me. It was clean and had all the necessary amenities. However, I was a bit confused at first by the thing you need to do to get electricity. I was told by a friend that the system of inserting the key card into a specific slot in order to get electricity is now the norm, but this month I’ve been to 5 different hotels and all of them had different systems and none of them were this particular one, so I personally would’ve appreciated a heads up or an informative poster on the door. The only downside of the room that I found was that that side of the street was quite loud. It was much better with the windows closed, however, if you are a light sleeper, I recommend taking ear plugs.  The rest of the stay went pretty okay for me, but that first experience unfortunately is something I’ll never forget.  If you are travelling as a family, I would imagine this hotel would prioritise you over other guests any time, so maybe that’s just who they cater to. As a solo traveler, however, this was not what I was expecting.

GGuest UserThe service was good. However, the hotel facilities are quite old, especially the noise issue. This is mainly because the building itself is old and the renovations didn't seem to account for soundproofing, resulting in poor sound insulation. You can clearly hear the elevator from inside the room. Besides the small room, there weren't any other major problems. The location is very convenient, close to the subway station and within walking distance to the Sagrada Familia.
