Hotels near El Poble Espanyol, Barcelona

This hotel is located outside of the city center of Barcelona. It is just across from Fira Barcelona Gran Via, which has a L9 South metro stop. Hence, it is not difficult to go to the city from the hotel. The room is spacious with nice decor but the hotel seems a little old as there are some cracks here and there. The gym is usable but not really complete. There is a huge selection of food for the breakfast but they are not the best, either.

We arrived on the train from Valencia at 11pm and had booked this hotel based on previous reviews AND the convenience of checking in to a hotel right at the station without having to walk or travel late at night!!! This was so perfect. I wld have slept in the next morning if it weren’t for the fact I had to catch an early flight back to Toronto. Thank you!

I want to thank and leave a good review of the hotel where the Russian receptionist Katerina works. It was important to me when I found out from the reviews, when choosing a hotel, that she is very attentive and ready to help in any situation . Katerina was very helpful and I felt supported in a place I don’t know. When travelling this is important. Basically everything is good. The main consideration for choosing this store is that it is close to Sants Estacio and is convenient for catching the train. There are many small businesses on the street, ranging from catering to laundry, if necessary. If it is inconvenient to download the Bolt taxi app, it is recommended to buy a bus ticket when you arrive to save a lot of time and money. There are ticket vending machines at the airport and stations.

This was the second hotel I stayed at in Barcelona. Its location is excellent, right next to Plaça d'Espanya, making transportation very convenient. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and bakeries nearby, which pretty much covers all guest needs. The only downside is that the room was a bit small and felt cramped, though the bathroom was quite spacious. Housekeeping requires a request; otherwise, they only clean when staff are available. On the second day, after cleaning, they didn't replenish the bottled water. Good thing I bought a large bottle from the supermarket. I had to specifically ask the cleaning staff for water on the third day, otherwise, none would be provided. When I had some free time, I was able to use the gym downstairs. The rooftop bar and pool were temporarily closed due to a Category 10 hurricane, so I didn't get to experience them. Overall, the value for money is still decent.

A super clean and comfortable place, the only thing is that a lot of light enters the room at night. I received important local information and even a map to guide me. Access is quite safe and quick ✨

Excellent hotel with very attentive and friendly staff, everything was smooth and hassle-free. The room was very clean, quiet, and pleasant, with an excellent view from the balcony, close to the train. The metro and shops were also nearby. My only observation is that there was no drawer to store small items of clothing... For larger items, there was a hanger, which could be a bit better.

The hotel is in a great location. Although it's in the Gothic Quarter, it's also near Eixample, so the area is relatively safe. The subway is only about a five-minute walk away. There was a minor hiccup at the hotel. After checking in and dropping off my luggage, I left. When I returned that evening, I discovered the air conditioning in my room wasn't working, with a persistent error message. The room wasn't airy to begin with, and the AC wasn't cooling, making it very stuffy and hot. I went down to the front desk, and the first time, they said they'd reset it, but it didn't work, and the error message persisted. The second time, they came back up to check the AC, but the error message persisted. The third time, I was a little disappointed, so the front desk moved us to a different room and checked the AC, which was fine. This resolved the issue. The hotel includes breakfast, which was quite good. While the selection wasn't particularly diverse, the food was delicious. Overall, aside from the AC issue, everything else was fine.

Room service was prompt and meticulous. The concierge was also very helpful with our luggage. The ingredients were fresh, and the food was delicious. The restaurant environment was comfortable, and the staff cleared away dishes promptly. * **Exceeded Expectations:** We originally planned for just one night, but the experience was unexpectedly wonderful! Both the facilities and the service exceeded my expectations, making it excellent value for money. The attention to detail is evident in the small things, such as the complimentary snacks/welcome fruit upon check-in and the small gifts upon check-out, all of which make you feel very warm.
