Alexander.HannayNot too far from shops and public transport and a clean and good value hotel for Paris.
Unfortunately the walls are quite thin and we were kept up by a neighbour until very late

Although the room is small but very cozy, the mattress is very comfortable, the hotel reception staff is very friendly, and the surrounding facilities are complete. The only drawback is that it is far from the subway station, which takes 22 minutes to walk.

Hotels in Paris are so expensive! The overall feeling is good, about 15 minutes from Metro Line 1 (La Defangs Square Station). Cleaned once every 2 days.

This is a safer and quiet area from a policing perspective. There is a mall 10 minutes walk from the hotel, called Westfield Four Seasons, shopping, eating and so on is very convenient.
The environment and cleanliness of the hotel are still good, maybe because it is not long after all.
The hotel has its own underground parking lot. It is necessary to go around the back of the hotel. The parking lot is the same door, 20 euros/day. There are also white-framed parking spaces on the roadside at the entrance of the hotel. It is free on weekends, but as the little black girl at the front desk said, you don't know what time the police will come on Monday morning.

Anonymous UserRecent poor experience of services at this self-claimed 5-star hotel, Nest Hotel Paris la Défense.
We checked in close to mid night on Friday night due to delayed flight into Paris. We bought two rooms, one suite and one deluxe room. The deluxe room was fine but the Air Conditioning in the suite didn't work. A front desk employee, W, only offered a fan and kept telling us that the hotel was full and there was no other room available. After we insisted on a real solution, her colleague, A, offered to move us to a deluxe room which had a working A/C (A took the initiative to check that room before coming to us with this solution). While we were downgraded from a suite to a deluxe room, a working A/C was a must-have during the heat wave in Paris. So we still appreciate A's help and effort. It was a great contrast of service attitude between W and A.
On Saturday morning, when we went to the restaurant for breakfast, the male employee who met us insisted on putting us at a table that we didn't like although the entire restaurant was wide open without many customers. The worse part was that when we ordered sunny-side-up fried eggs, he insisted that he knew what a sunny-side-up was. As soon as the fried eggs were served, it was clear that he didn't know. Fortunately, the female employee who brought the eggs to the table understood it. So she went back and did a perfect sunny-side-up. It is OK if the male employee didn't know something because nobody knows everything. But his attitude of he-knows-everything-and-the-customers-are-dumb is the big problem.
On early Saturday afternoon, I went to the front desk per A's recommendation in order to speak about the downgrade of room and compensation / refund. There were two employees at the front desk at that time. When I asked the female employee to speak with someone in charge, she just told me that no one was in charge until Monday. This is absolutely against the common practice of how a 5-star hotel is managed. In any 5-star hotel, there is always someone, manager / assistant manager / supervisor, on duty so that this person can stand in front of the customers taking responsibility and solving problems. Her attitude was perceived that she didn't want to help us and kept pushing us to Monday so that we are no longer her problem. And the fact that she didn't even ask us what problem we experience the night before clearly shows that she doesn't care about the customers. Then, I had to speak with the male employee who helped to create a case and a request in the system for refund due to the downgrade of a suite. He agreed that a refund is fully justified due to downgrade and promised that the manager will look into it on Monday.
Now here is a pattern. We had close encounter with six employees in three different occasions at Nest Hotel Paris la Défense and half of them failed to show proper service / help attitude. This 50% failure rate once again falls way below a 5-star hotel standard. Plus, so far, one week has passed but we still haven't received a confirmation of refund due to the downgrade. It is very disappointing!!!

Hilton La Défense has an excellent location for getting around. Direct train to reach Gare du Nord for the Eurostar, Disneyland, La Vallée Village, and central Paris. The hotel is inside a mall, which is very convenient for shopping and dining, but just be aware that the mall entrance closes at 9pm and reopens at 7am, so you have to ring an intercom to enter through a side door during those hours which is a slight inconvenience. The staff were polite and professional, and the rate was reasonable for what you get. On the downside, I had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi in my room. Overall, a solid stay with great value, especially if you're traveling to multiple destinations around Paris.

The hotel room was very nice and clean with affordable prices. We love how the room literally looks like an apartment with a full set of things for you to cook and clean. The con is it doesn’t have a noise protection and we always heard things from other rooms at night but it was not that big problem. This location is close to little supermarket, restaurant and big mall. Nice location to stay it took only 15 mins by uber to the city. And the staff was very nice and friendly, the half thai one! We will stay here again next time when we come to paris!🙏🏼

Service is good, they can help us to call taxi if needed. However, room is quite small and the building is old. Bathroom is quite small. But concerning the price, it is still acceptable. But I would only recommend people to stay for a short period of time only.

Check in was slow. The room is sizeable with a kitchen, but the facilities were not great. It looked more like a three-star than a four-star in a business district. Th elevator was slow too. Did not expect this given the price the property charged the visitors. If you arrive by taxi/uber, the driver might get confused on the map. The driver needs to go through the tunnels and go all the way out to the outdoor zone to see the entrance of the hotel. Could not understand how come the Paris government designed the infrastructure like that.
