"Basic accommodation but good value for the price! Easy to access location, clean, complimentary supplies, good amenities, access to shared kitchen etc. It was quiet at night, the odd bit of noise from doors in the daytime. However you can get free earplugs from reception. The windows don’t open fully so it can get warm in the room, however fans are provided in each room"

"I stayed for one night and I had everything I needed. Maybe a kettle in the room would be a nice touch (there was one in the kitchen though). The room was clean, the staff were very nice and professional. It was a little loud in the morning outside the door as some people were leaving and making a lot of noise but that was not a big issue for me."

"Hotel is in great location. A stone throw away from Waverley train station. Staff were very friendly. WiFi is only available for 30 mins free each day and then you have to pay which for paying nearly £100 for one night seems cheeky. I decided to then pay for it for it to keep cutting out every few minutes. When I went to use the body wash/shampoo, it was mainly just water water but the cleaning staff were very quick to come and fix it."

"Overall, it's a good hotel. The room has a bed, wardrobe, internet, a desk and chair, and a spacious bathroom. You can request a hairdryer, iron, and toiletries from reception. There's also a shared kitchen available for cooking and food storage. Other pros include entertainment rooms and a laundry facility. On the downside, it's not very close to the city center, the access to rooms is multi-level, the bed is small for two people, and you have to get all the extra amenities from reception."

"hotel is built in an old building, so there are no lifts. Rooms are clean & cozy and i enjoyed my time here. Service staff were warm and welcoming; and the location is great too"

"The Apex hotel, location is just perfect. 5 minutes from Edinburgh Waverly station. Pros: Location, cleanliness, accessibility. Cons: It was just our experience, where we went out and came back to our room with a leaking bathroom. The upper light socket was pouring and leaking water. But, the team quickly sent the maintenance to check, moved us to another room and provided a complimentary breakfast. This is a really a good hotel, where you can easily walk to key locations and use public transport for travel. A good place, and I would recommend to other fellow travelers."

"The hotel's location is excellent, with a tram stop right across the street, making all attractions within walking distance. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, and the complimentary tea, coffee, and water available all day were a lovely and thoughtful touch. Our room was comfortable and quiet, perfectly adequate for a couple. Everything was wonderful, and a big thank you to everyone. If I ever come back to Edinburgh, I'll definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it to everyone."

"The room with a view was absolutely fantastic! You could see Calton Hill and the sea in the distance right from the room. The free croissants at the front desk were delicious. Calton Hill is just a five-minute walk away, and the views from there are breathtaking. The hotel is also only a few minutes from Edinburgh Waverley train station, and having direct lift access was so convenient and pleasant. Edinburgh is a wonderful place and definitely worth revisiting. This hotel is also worth another stay!"

"The room was nice, and they even let me check in half an hour early, which was great. My only complaint is that construction vehicles started arriving and working outside my window at 7:05 AM. I don't understand why! In China, construction usually doesn't start until after 8 AM. Don't people in Edinburgh mind this much noise?"

"Exquisite British style 👍 The convenient location means you can pop back to your room for a rest when you're tired from exploring, and it feels so cozy. 🌹 The only downside is that it's an old building so there's no elevator 🙈, but I still loved it very much! 💕 Helpful tip: When you come out of the train station, take the shortcut shown in picture #17 to get to the hotel 🏨"
