This hotel offers stunning hilltop views of the sea, especially beautiful at night. Make sure to take a taxi from the station, as there's a very steep hill to get there. The hotel service is excellent, and the place is clean and tidy. We booked a corner room with dual-aspect windows, and it even had a bathtub. Enjoying a drink on the balcony while admiring the night view was a highlight. There's also a fantastic teppanyaki restaurant at the foot of the hill (no English menu, though) that's delicious and reasonably priced.

Facilities: Basic toiletries are conveniently self-service and available by the elevator.
Service: The front desk staff's English is good, and they patiently guide you through the check-in process.
Environment: It's very close to the station, so all your usual food, drinks, and convenience stores are within 500m. The rooms are much larger compared to typical Tokyo accommodations.
P.S. For my fellow Chinese compatriots who need hot water, remember to ask the front desk for a kettle, as it's not standard in the rooms. You can leave it in the room when you check out.
Breakfast: Simple, just sandwiches and coffee or black tea. You'll definitely need to supplement it if you plan an active morning. If you want to pack it to go, you'll need to bring your own bag. The good thing is it starts early, from 7 AM.

The hotel offers an excellent selection of food for both dinner and breakfast. The dining area is spacious and can comfortably accommodate many guests. However, the overall facilities, including the rooms, feel a bit dated. The exception is the large onsen and sauna complex in the basement, which I enjoyed the most.

Location: Not on the main Atami beach, a bit further east. The lobby is on the 6th floor, and getting to the beach requires walking uphill.
Room: Spacious and comfortable, with a slightly obstructed sea view due to a road in front.
Hot Spring: The onsen experience was good, and the facilities were clean. The downside is that the open-air bath (rotenburo) and the main public bath (daikyu-jo) are separate and not directly accessible from one another; reservations are also required in advance. The private baths (kashikiri-furo) were constantly fully booked during Golden Week. I really enjoyed the late-night noodles and the massage chairs, though they were in the same area and the smell was quite strong.

The room was okay, and the ocean view was amazing to look at all day. Atami is a great place to explore at a leisurely pace, and I'm sure staying at this hotel would be even better during the fireworks festival. However, it's a bit of a bummer that the ¥2,000 refund for not having the room cleaned can only be used at the hotel shop. And after I used it up, they asked me to pay the hot spring tax in cash without clearly telling me if that ¥2,000 could have been used to cover it. 🙄

The hotel faces east, and on clear days, you can see the sunrise from the sea on the rooftop. It also has a free public bath with complete facilities for relaxation. The main street is a 5-minute walk away; since it's not fireworks season, it's a quiet little town, but all daily necessities are readily available nearby.

Hotel has shuttle bus from the JR station. But is OK just to walk over as there are some small shops worth a look. Breakfast and dinner are good. With lot of Japanese traditional dishes. Hot spa and laundry is an add on plus with this reasonable price of the hotel. This is the hotel I stay every time when in Atami.

The hotel is very new and has some taste of decoration. Although the room is large in size, there is no table, and everything can only be placed on the ground. The service staff can only speak simple English, the communication is not very smooth, but the service attitude is very good. There is also the hotel on the mountain, there is no convenience store around, shopping is not convenient, go out to eat and shop, go back to the hotel to climb the mountain, all the way down absolutely dead.
"A deeply moving ocean view". This resort hotel has a sweeping view over Sagami Bay.

It was a quaint, cozy hotel situated close to JR Atami Station. The hotel has very good food for both dinner and breakfast! The staff are friendly and even though they can't speak good English, they tried their best to communicate to the best of their knowledge and I really appreciate it! I especially enjoyed my time at the onsen on the rooftop, it has good facilities.
The only thing is the cleanliness of the room, since there is still water in the kettle from the previous guests, I didn't want to drink any water from the kettle because of it. They should replace it with a new kettle or clean it. Otherwise, the room is also very cozy, they give yukatas for guests to wear them around the hotel and they also offer free transport to JR Atami station. Otherwise, I would have struggled to get around since there is lack of public transportation at Atami!
I still have a very good time and enjoyed my time because of the friendly staff at the hotel, they are very helpful! 10/10 will come back again with my friends or family in the future.

Amazing
KKEVINLEEThis hotel offered exceptional service, sophisticated design, and breathtaking ocean views. Its overall quality far exceeded my expectations, truly going beyond imagination.
1️⃣ Design Style
The hotel's design closely mirrors high-end onsen ryokans like Kyukamura and Hoshino Resorts, embracing a light luxury, minimalist, yet grand aesthetic. The sense of space is remarkable, blending modern elements with a relaxed, Japanese resort ambiance.
2️⃣ Attention to Detail
The hotel's meticulous attention to detail is truly impressive: hidden TVs, smart home controls throughout, and a private, temperature-controlled, auto-filling hot spring tub on the balcony are all incredibly practical. The mattresses and bedding are from premium brands, and even the restaurant uses WMF cutlery. These details show that the hotel isn't just focused on appearances; it's genuinely committed to perfecting its offerings.
3️⃣ Hospitality and Experience
The overall operation demonstrates a sophisticated approach to hospitality. The hotel covers the taxi fare between the JR station and the hotel, and the mini-bar in the room is entirely complimentary. While these are small touches, they highlight the hotel's dedication to enhancing the guest experience.
4️⃣ Dining Experience
Breakfast follows a refined Kaiseki-style with a French rhythm, served course by course, with the entire meal lasting nearly an hour. The dishes are few but of excellent quality, truly a 'small but exquisite' culinary journey.
5️⃣ Service Experience
While Japanese hotels generally offer good service, this one particularly touched me. Nightly turndown service, the staff's consistent smiles, the omelet chef at breakfast proactively delivering dishes to our table, and the patient and detailed assistance from a Chinese-speaking front desk employee all made the entire stay incredibly warm and pleasant.
6️⃣ Location and View
The hotel boasts a convenient location with an almost unobstructed, front-row ocean view. The most enjoyable moments were soaking in the private hot spring on the balcony, gazing out at the sea – truly a quintessential vacation feeling.
Overall, this is a high-end hotel that strikes an excellent balance in design, service, views, and quality. The experience is almost flawless. If you're planning a trip to Atami, it's definitely a top choice.
💯 A perfect score for this hotel.
WWulaitingfanzengThe hotel's facilities are really great. I chose a huge tatami room all to myself, though people from my country might not be used to sleeping on tatami. The only downside to the room was that the air conditioning was a bit noisy, but thankfully there's a door, and closing it helped a lot. Both the room and the restaurant face the sea and the harbor, so the view is absolutely unparalleled. As for the location, it's a bit on the outskirts with no commercial areas nearby; it takes about a 10-minute walk to reach dining and shopping spots. All hotel guests receive a complimentary hot spring ticket. Their hot spring also faces the sea. The infinity hot spring pool is definitely the biggest highlight! The entire hot spring area is very modern and beautifully designed. However, it's spread across 7 floors, and you have to undress upstairs and downstairs, with shoe storage and showering not in the same area, which makes the process a bit confusing and overwhelming.
AAvedisThis hotel really great for locationwise.. nearby all those eatery places and souvenirs shops. The onsen really good as well and the room quite big and clean. The only upset us since we booked another day through differrent apps but when we checked in we told the lady and also pay all the tax at the same time but we hv to check out and change the room. On the day we change the room the man charge us again the tax eventhough i already explained and ask him to doublechecked. On the last day we asked again and show them the receipt so they gave us back the tax money. Its not about the amount of money but their serve that i want to point it out.
KKWUSThe hotel environment is excellent, with sunny rooms and sea views. A self-service snack bar is available at check-in in the afternoon, offering alcoholic beverages, juices, tea, etc. You can even make your own ramen for late-night snacks, and breakfast includes a self-service grilled fish buffet; a very pleasant experience.
The hotel has a public bath with Pola shower amenities; there's even a manga corner.
The hotel is located halfway up a mountain. There's a shuttle bus, but it's infrequent. I recommend taking a taxi from Atami Station up the mountain; it's a 7-minute ride and costs approximately 680 yen. If you have light luggage, it's about a 12-minute walk, but the uphill path is a bit strenuous.
HHahuhehuhumaoThere were very few Chinese guests, mostly Japanese families on vacation. We were probably among the rare Chinese guests at this hotel.
We chose the Horizon room type, which comes with two private onsen baths. They aren't huge, but they are impeccably clean.
Dining was at Ocean, about a 15-minute walk away. The upside is that it's perfect for a leisurely stroll back to your room after dinner to digest your meal.
Atami feels like a mini-Chongqing, with very genuine and friendly locals. I'd definitely visit again.
AAnonymous UserCheck-in was quick and easy, with two staff members who spoke Chinese, so there were no language barrier issues. When checking in, they proactively asked about our preferred dinner time to avoid long waits due to too many guests dining at once. Since our room didn't have a private bathroom, we used the public male and female onsen baths downstairs, which were well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. After dinner, you can reserve the karaoke or mahjong rooms at the front desk in advance and use them at your reserved time. Although the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, it was quite delicious.
GGuest UserThe facilities were all great, but it was a bit of a shame that there were time restrictions. We arrived late in the evening and most of the drinks were gone, plus there was no comb provided in the room.
Rryuchi sakamotoThe hotel is located right in front of the sea, with a convenience store nearby and paid parking spaces. The price is very reasonable for the area. The hotel staff is very good. In fact, the highlight of this hotel is their private open-air bath, which is very comfortable. recommend
TTengqisizhiCame here for the fireworks. You can soak in the hot springs at the hotel next to the fireworks display, have a buffet, then change into a yukata and head over leisurely. The hotel buffet even includes unlimited beer, cocktails, and more! I loved the chawanmushi, grilled fish, beef brisket, tempura... and there was sashimi too. For breakfast, I grabbed some natto, and wow, that's truly 'hellish' cuisine, haha! 🤣
They offer a JR station shuttle service. The driver was very nice and helped with our luggage. We decided not to take it on the way there because we wanted to explore the onsen town, but the hilly roads were quite a trek, very difficult to walk. I'd recommend just heading straight to check-in first, then exploring. The onsen also had a manga corner.
Oh, and you don't actually need to bring your own yukata for the fireworks! This hotel has many different patterns of yukata available for guests using the hot springs.
EeXoxideZNot recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
