Hotels near Kofu Station, Kofu

There's another Toyoko Inn near Kofu Station, but this one was great because it was cheaper, even though the public transport access was ever so slightly less convenient. It's located right in front of Kofu Castle, which was perfect for an early morning stroll. After an early breakfast, it was also close enough to walk to Takeda Shrine. The breakfast itself was also neatly prepared.

I didn't think amenities like toothbrushes and combs needed to be in the room; they could have been placed next to the front desk. The service was simple, yet very good with warm responses when needed. Dining out was a bit disappointing for us non-drinkers, as there were mostly izakayas. It would have been better if the offerings at Tokiwa Hotel were more substantial. The price was high, but the content (buffet) was underwhelming.

Yanagiya is a nice little local onsen. They do not have too many rooms so you will not feel overcrowded. It is a nice place to spend for days to relax your body and mind. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They can speak limited English but in case you come across any issue with language, feel free to use translation app. If you are driving, the onsen is easy to find and there is a carpark in front of the Onsen with plenty of space. There are also 2 x EV charging but not sure if they are for onsen guess. The room is spacious, clean and tidy. The air conditioner is featured with heater and cooler function, so you don't have to worry about weather during winter and summer. The hot spring is open for 24 hrs, except time when they swap between male and female access, usually it takes 30 minutes and they take this opportunity to clean up the facilities too. Food are generally fine and portion is reasonable. Staff are caring d considerate. We have two kids at age of 7 and 9 and they do not take spicy or raw food. When they noticed, they have offered to tailor made the breakfast for the kids so that they don't prepare food that kids do not eat.

It's located in front of the station, but on the opposite side of the bustling downtown area. The building is old, so the facilities are probably over 30 years old. The bed was a single with a soft mattress, which wasn't to my liking. However, considering the location, the price was reasonable. Breakfast was served as a set meal and was properly edible, which was nice. I just wish the bed was more comfortable.

Very simple hostel, with everything you need. It is quite close to the railway station and also enough food facilities are near. I was here in summer and I have to say that air conditioning is unfortunately poorly placed (even above a bed) so that the person (naturally not to become sick) makes air conditioning out of night. However, it is insupportably warm and you can't sleep.

Staff Ryo san is very friendly and helpful. He is very informative and I enjoy chatting with him. Our room comes with a toilet as shown. An option for a private bath is available costing 500 yen for 30min. I approached Ryo san and book my timing (first come first serve) only after I checked in. My one night stay comes with a simple breakfast the next morning. The homely meal is rice with egg omelette and some other dishes. Roughly a 15min walk to Kofu train station.

It is located outside the city, but there are restaurants and supermarkets within 1 km, so I don't think it will be troublesome for meals. If you want to go out a little, you can rent a cycle for free, so you can go out hanging out. The room is a large single room, and the baggage is sufficient. It was comfortable with a small TV, a small refrigerator, air conditioning and a unit bus. There is also a hot spring on the first floor, and I think it is perfect for those who want to enjoy the large bath. There are all amenities. I think there was no coffee though there was tea and water in the common area. I used it for a night stay at an old hotel, but I think it is worth more than the price.

I missed the last train and stayed in a hurry. It was a little far from the station but it was reasonable and good. It is recommended to go from another road because the road next to one is not very safe in the night town such as cabaret club. I was a little worried because I stayed alone, but the front desk was a young woman and kind, the amenities were abundant, and the charger was lent, and it was okay even if I was not prepared for the stay. It was good that the room smelled a little cigarette but it was not filthy.

The location is great. The price reasonably reflects what services and facilities you can get from the hostel. I think the hostel should clearly state that the room users need to make the bed while checking in and remove the bed sheets and towels during check out when booking the hostel room.

Perhaps because it's near a sports park, it felt just like a dormitory for college students on a training camp. The room itself was spacious and clean, but the common areas were dirty. Luckily, I was able to sleep peacefully last night, but as an old man, I don't think I'll ever use it again.
