Amazing
AANDREAS NUR JAHJAVia Inn Okayama was our 6th hotel on this journey, and its location honestly couldn’t have been better. Being directly connected to Okayama Station made everything very convenient — from getting around to grabbing daily necessities. There were even some supermarkets inside the station, which were super handy. The lobby was on the 5th floor and already set the mood, with an amazing view overlooking the station and the city. Our room was simple and comfortable, featuring a small double bed, a desk by the window, a chair, an air purifier, and a fairly new TV with YouTube and Netflix access — perfect for relaxing after a long day. Space was a little tight when we opened our luggage, but it wasn’t a big issue. Even though the bathroom wasn’t very spacious, it still provided enough room to sit comfortably on the toilet, which we appreciated. The real highlight was the view — an unblocked cityscape right from the room that made both mornings and nights extra special. Convenient, comfortable, and memorable — Via Inn Okayama was a great stay right in the heart of the city.

SSteven47This time, I stayed at Hotel Trend Okayama Ekimae, located in front of Okayama Station. I chose this hotel primarily for its convenient location, about a three-minute walk from JR Okayama Station. Convenience stores, drug stores, and the AEON mall are nearby, making it very convenient for shopping and dining. This is undoubtedly a major advantage for travelers prioritizing transportation. My first impression of the room was cleanliness, but the overall space and furnishings were rather minimalist. The desk was small, making it a bit inadequate for using a laptop or organizing itineraries. The room had all the necessary amenities, but one concern was the lack of bottled water. This might be a bit inconvenient for those not accustomed to the ”self-service water bottle” model of Japanese hotels. I recommend stocking up at the convenience store downstairs before check-in. Breakfast is an additional charge (800 yen) and consists primarily of Japanese-style small bowls of cold dishes. The taste is quite good, and the variety is varied. Although there are no hot entrees, it's still a good value for the price. However, travelers who prioritize breakfast might find the selection a bit limited. Regarding service, the front desk staff were friendly and spoke basic English without issue. Luggage storage is also available, which is very useful for travelers arriving early or wanting to explore after checking out. Overall, Hotel Trend Okayama Ekimae is a convenient business hotel with basic amenities, making it suitable for a short stay. However, compared to other similarly priced hotels around Okayama Station, the value for money is slightly lower, primarily due to the lack of spacious rooms and detailed service. It's recommended for travelers seeking a convenient location, a tight schedule, and who don't mind a spacious stay.

GGuest UserNice and comfortable room however my room had building construction directly outside the window. I struggled to get sleep past 9am even though I was jet-lagged, also it was so loud I was nervous the people would be coming in through my balcony door! Good location, would stay again if it weren’t for the construction on the hotel

GGuest UserThis hotel was a very positive surprise while I was a bit skeptical as technically it’s also a love hotel, but it doesn’t even feel that way which was good. Super clean, lots of amenities and small details in the room to make the stay more comfortable, even a free hair clip and a massive TV. Location was right next to the tram stop, one evening we also walked to the main station which took maybe 20-25 min. The breakfast choices were plenty, the french toast was super tasty! Thank you to the attentive and kind staff!

Very Good
ジュリアンIt is a short distance from the west exit of Okayama Station, but acceptable because the airport buses stop at the west exit and there is no need to get on and off. However, the soundproofing is really average, facing the station, there are freight trains passing through all night, mind you may have to think about another one in the east exit. More concerned is that the air conditioner is noisy, I do not know if there is regular maintenance for repairs, the dust filter is not washed, accumulated dust. Request to change rooms successfully, air conditioning sound problems improved, is the dust screen is the same, forget.

CCHIU HANThe second time I came to live here, the location is about 10 minutes walk from the station, the staff is very enthusiastic, the kitchen has tableware to use, there is also a microwave oven refrigerator and hot water bottle to use, there is a chance to come back to Okayama.

GGuest UserThis was my first time in Okayama, and I chose this hotel. They offer free breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a buffet with both Western and Japanese options, so you can choose what you like. For dinner, there are two choices: a rotating daily set meal or a fixed curry rice dish. The public bath is a bit small, but it's fine for about four or five people. The hotel is about an eight-minute walk from Okayama Station. There's a Don Quijote along the way, and plenty of restaurants and izakayas nearby, so there are lots of dining options. Convenience stores are also very close. The room I stayed in this time was quite spacious, even with my luggage open, there was still plenty of room. I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Okayama. The only thing to be aware of is that there are about five or six steps right after you enter, which can be a bit challenging if you have heavy luggage. Otherwise, everything else was excellent.

GGuest UserIt's very close to the station, Aeon Mall, Don Quijote, and supermarkets. It's an unmanaged hotel, but if you check in online in advance, you only need to scan a QR code at the hotel, which is very convenient. The kitchen in the room is fully equipped; I cooked many meals of instant noodles in the room (and even added a lot of ingredients I bought at the supermarket 😎). Highly recommended!!!

KKaiara2597The location is nice. Although, I got a smaller room than I saw in the pictures, I couldn’t stand up straight because the roof was so low. Also, there was a short went to another room and I had to craft a curtain because the light from the other room shined straight on my face and you can’t sleep the other way around because there’s not enough room. Furthermore, even though I left my keys for the cleaners, they just left the clean towels and sheets outside my room and told me to do it and the key was left in my door. But the showers and toilets was nice and you have privacy which is nice.
