The rooms and facilities were absolutely amazing! Each room had its own private indoor onsen, and the fridges were filled with various drinks. Bathroom amenities were beyond expectation, with face wash, lotion, etc all provided. The hotel provided free drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in the lounge and garden in the afternoon. Dinner and breakfast were perfect! There was more food than we could finish, but the quality of each dish was spectacular. Leave time for a long breakfast because the food keeps coming. The hotel was also very accommodating in helping us forward our luggage to our next destination. It was the perfect place to relax and refresh. We stayed two nights but wished we stayed the whole week.

This hotel is definitely one for the bucket list! The service is excellent, and the food is delicious. They also offer a shuttle service to Karuizawa Station, with a polite driver and soft music playing in the car. My only minor complaint is that the hotel doesn't provide bicycle rentals, but you can easily find rental shops nearby.

The hotel's decor is incredibly elegant, simple yet with thoughtful details everywhere. Every staff member I encountered made me feel seen and cared for; they were so patient and meticulous. In the evening, there's a happy hour where you can enjoy drinks, lie on the sofa by the fire, and just relax – even in July, Karuizawa nights can be a bit chilly. The hotel also offers a variety of bath salts by the elevator, which is a blessing for anyone who enjoys a good soak. On the second day, the hotel provided free bicycles, perfect for exploring the area. Lastly, a shout-out to the breakfast – it was a set menu with options, and even my husband, who rarely eats Western food, gave it his approval. We've decided to return during the winter ski season!

Traveling with my besties, we were pleasantly surprised to find our triple room was actually a suite with a small sofa – perfect for the three of us to hang out. The bathroom and toilet were separate, which was super convenient and meant no waiting around. There's a door off the lobby that leads to a really nice lounge area which doubles as a library. The hotel is only about a 5-6 minute walk from the station and really easy to find. Plus, there's a fantastic sukiyaki restaurant downstairs with amazing wagyu beef, just make sure to book ahead!

Bringing the dog to stay together, very satisfied in all aspects. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from Karuizawa Station, and there is a free shuttle service, which is very considerate. The hotel facilities are very clean. Although it is a pet hotel, the rooms and public areas do not have any unpleasant smell. Both indoor and outdoor are equipped with a dog run and a dog salon where you can take photos. It was fun to communicate and play with other dogs in the public area. During the stay, you can also soak in the hot springs, and adults can also relax and enjoy. In short, it was a very satisfying experience. Next time I go to Karuizawa, I still want to take the dog!

Thank you very much! The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and we really appreciated being able to borrow dishes and cutlery, as well as getting complimentary bottled water! The room was also very spacious and clean, which we were very happy with! The location right in the shopping street was also great! However, it was a shame that we couldn't open the curtains in our room even in the morning, as many people walk by and can easily see into the room from outside.

The rooms are incredibly spacious. The breakfast is abundant and aligns perfectly with Japanese nutritional standards. I highly recommend Usagi no Mori, a bunny-themed restaurant just a 5-minute walk away, next to a large supermarket. The hotel's location is also very convenient for visiting any attractions in Karuizawa.

Hotel Marroad is just a few minutes by the shuttle bus from the station , and it can also be reached on foot. We booked a room for 4 people and the room size is good at a very reasonable price (include breakfast). The fixtures are a bit old. However, the room and the amenities are very clean. We come to skiing and the hotel has a rental service (much cheaper than you rent at the ski field) which is very convenient. Also, they send us to ski field every day. Staff can speak little English, but they are all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious, and it is a must try.

Absolutely impressed! It truly lives up to its reputation as a resort town – peaceful, beautiful, and with amazing views. The rooms were incredibly clean, the service was excellent, and the onsen was a perfect 100. The classic-style rooms were clean and cozy, with high-quality furniture. I would definitely return if I have the chance. Parking is free for those with cars, and the hotel also offers a shuttle service for train travelers. The food is high-quality, and the restaurant, rooms, onsen, and views are simply stunning.

We stayed at Karuizawa. The accommodation was reasonably priced and comfortable. They have various room types, but we chose a ryokan-style room which involved sharing a bathroom, but there were plenty of facilities and it was very convenient. Regular rooms also have private bathrooms. It's conveniently located for walking to nearby attractions. The only thing we didn't have was hot water. They actually have an onsen (hot spring), which would have been perfect if it had hot water especially with the single-digit temperatures like that, I highly recommend it to anyone interested.
