The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. There's an art gallery and a shopping mall right downstairs, and all major landmarks are within walking distance. Dining options are plentiful; you can open a map app to check ratings and make reservations. We booked a room with laundry facilities, but the room itself was incredibly small. Once luggage was in, there was barely any space to move around, which would be quite inconvenient if you're traveling with children. I'd definitely recommend booking a larger room, especially since there's also a shared laundry room on each floor. One thing I'd like to complain about is that this hotel seems to be a popular spot for influencers, as it's always crowded, even outside of holidays. There's an outdoor hot tub that's quite popular online, requiring a reservation to enter. However, this pool is on the same floor as the check-in area, and the terrace is connected with no barriers. This means that while you're posing in your swimwear, the long line of people checking in have a full view of you, almost like they're observing you through a glass. Plus, non-guests can also access that terrace to take photos. For introverted people, this can be quite awkward. So, if you're coming here primarily for photos, you might not even need to stay at the hotel; booking a table at their restaurant or having a drink at their lobby bar would suffice.

This was my first time staying at Tokyu, and don't make the mistake I did by thinking the small reception desk at the main entrance is for check-ins – it's not. Check-in is on the second floor. When I first arrived with my child, I asked the ground floor staff if we could check in early, but they didn't mention that check-in was on the second floor. My child and I傻傻 (foolishly) waited until 3 PM to go to the ground floor reception, only to be told to go to the second floor. Once upstairs, there was a long queue, and we didn't get checked in until almost 4 PM. If I had known check-in was on the second floor, my child and I would have gone there to queue much earlier. The front desk staff don't speak Chinese, but the hotel breakfast is good with a wide variety. The location is also very convenient, directly connected to a mall and the subway.

The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks. The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day. If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing. Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Yokohama area.

If you’re looking for a hotel near K-Arena, this one is absolutely worth considering. The location is excellent, situated in a business district with plenty of restaurants available during the daytime. There’s a 7-Eleven on the first floor, which is very convenient, although it closes at 11:00 PM. After around 9:00 PM, it can be a bit difficult to find late-night food nearby. However, the vending machines offer options like takoyaki and pork teriyaki rice, which are helpful for a quick late-night meal. The room is spacious enough for two people and offers a great view. The bathroom is large and separated from the toilet, which makes it more comfortable to use. Amenities are available at the lobby for guests to pick up, and they provide everything you might need—cleansing oil, face wash, cotton buds, conditioner, shaving cream, shaving kits, and more. Pajamas are also provided in the room, and they are very comfortable. One of the highlights is the onsen located on the lobby floor, open until 1:00 AM. It’s perfect for relaxing after a long day of meetings or events. There is also a laundry area with washing and drying machines at a very affordable price. However, the dryer may not fully dry clothes even after 90 minutes, so keep that in mind. The lobby area is suitable for working late into the night. Wi-Fi is strong, and complimentary coffee and hot tea are available 24/7. The TV is excellent—Sharp 4K with good sound quality—perfect for watching your own Netflix content. Overall, a great stay, especially for business travelers or anyone attending events at K-Arena.

World Porters shopping mall and various restaurants and cafes are within walking distance, and there's a convenience store downstairs, so you'll never have to worry about food or shopping. Transportation is also very convenient; it's close to the station and has a direct airport bus, making travel and departures completely hassle-free. The biggest bonus was definitely the unbeatable floor-to-ceiling harbor view. While Japanese hotels are generally on the smaller side, the InterContinental's rooms are spacious and airy, with an elegant and tidy layout. During the day, natural light is abundant, offering expansive views of the clear harbor sky. At sunset, the gentle glow is incredibly therapeutic. As night falls, Yokohama Port lights up brilliantly, and the Ferris wheel's spectacular lights create a magical ambiance. You can enjoy a front-row view of the nightscape right from your bed, and the atmosphere is simply immersive. The overall hardware reflects the quality of an established five-star hotel. The decor is elegant and luxurious, and maintenance is impeccable, showing no signs of age. The bedding in the room was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very quiet night's sleep. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the toiletries were high-quality and thoughtfully detailed, making for a very comfortable stay. Service was consistently excellent throughout. The front desk efficiently handled check-in with professionalism, and the staff were polite, gentle, and responsive. Luggage storage and room service were meticulous, making the entire experience feel secure and dignified. The hotel's public areas are clean and grand, perfect for strolling, taking photos, or simply relaxing. The only minor drawback is that since the hotel has been open for a while, some of the facilities have a more traditional style, not the trendy minimalist look. However, the overall maintenance is superb, and it doesn't detract from the living experience. Overall, the InterContinental Yokohama Grand is a benchmark hotel that's a must-stay when visiting Yokohama. With its unbeatable views, killer location, and reliably high-quality service, it's highly recommended for couples, families, or independent travelers. When I came to Yokohama during my trip to Japan, I chose a hotel near Minatomirai. The check-in experience was good, and it's not far from the station. There's a convenience store downstairs, and water dispensers and ironing facilities in the hallway. The breakfast was filling and delicious. It's a great place to stay while traveling. Getting to Chinatown or Yokohama Station is also quite convenient.

Most hotels in Japan, though small, are incredibly well-equipped. They maximize every inch of space and are spotlessly clean to an astonishing degree—you won't find a single stain, water mark, lint, or speck of dust. Coupled with the wooden furniture, this creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that truly helps you relax.

I've always wanted to try a capsule hotel, and I finally got to yesterday! It's about a 7-8 minute walk from Yokohama Station, with a Veloce cafe right next door. It's also super close to drugstores and shopping malls. The front desk staff was very nice.

This is a standard Japanese business hotel, small but has everything you need. However, I couldn't connect to the internet in my room 😡, I'm not sure if it was just my room but the signal was really bad. I didn't experience any of the other negative issues mentioned in other reviews though; the front desk staff were polite, the room was clean, and all the amenities were there. Plus, the price was quite cheap. I'd still recommend it if you're visiting Yokohama, as it's right in Chinatown.

Since it was my first time making a reservation, I had some trouble getting into the room, but they responded quickly so there was no problem. The accommodation fee was cheap, so I was able to spend more money on sightseeing. There were convenience stores, restaurants, and parking lots nearby, so it was comfortable.
