a bit of walk from the train station as you can find places that are nearer if you are carrying more suitcases. i dont mind the walk as you pass by a lot of nice restaurants. can walk along the commercial street under shade even though hot summer day it is still quite sweaty. there seems to be a nice restaurant on the second floor but didnt get a chance to try. right near art museum and auditorium. quite city center.

The natural hot spring was brown hot water and the temperature was high and it was good. The room was very clean and comfortable. The site was full, but there was no problem because I was able to use the affiliated parking lot.

This was a nice hotel in a very good location. There are lots of restaurants and places to drink nearby. The hotel itself was very clean but it didn't have an internal smoking area, although there were plenty of smoking areas outside the hotel. The room was a small one but there are very comfortable beds.

After all, it's a business hotel, so the rooms aren't very large, but they have all the amenities you'd expect from a hotel, including a microwave in the lobby, which you can use for free. Located just a block or two from JR Oita Station (and mall), it is also adjacent to a large Shōtengai (covered street shopping district), it is surrounded by walkable dining and shopping and is an excellent starting point for deeper explorations of Oita, or even a short day trip up to Beppu by rail, about 20 minutes away, though you don't need to go anywhere to relax features a ground floor onsen as well! The front desk was extremely helpful throughout my stay, and making the usual arrangements was easy. The location is quiet at night but feels connected to the pulse of the city.
