"Location: This hotel was very close to Seoul station (15 minutes by car). Euljiro station (10 minutes walking distance). Attractions: 1. MYEONGDONG-Everything is at Myeongdong including the banana milk at Olive Young; Laneige stores, a thrift store; the food street with the new crocs-style cake, chicken skewers; and great Korean fried chicken 🍗, tteokbokki and fishcakes, and the marshmallow ice cream. 2. The tourist information centre is about 200m from the hotel. Here, you get information and maps and overall clear direction. The staff is very helpful. 3. Great restaurants like KUT (quite literally around the corner), and a Michelin restaurant about 400m away as well as salad bar and coffee shops. 4. Shinsegae 5. A river runs infront of the hotel 6. Historical museums and parks The actual hotel and room: The hotel was very easy to find and the receptionist was helpful. The food was nice; there was enough veggies and the eggs smelled alright. They did not have a tea selection unfortunately but the soup tasted quite nice although I am not sure what it was-maybe creamed corn and potato. The room was alright and looked just as pictured but it initially smelled like a rat died on the rug(that could be because it had no windows and felt a bit suffocating but the developing plot area beside the hotel kinda also smelled like that). It became less obvious on day 2. Overall, I would definitely return to this hotel."

"Taking a bus from the stop right in front of the hotel gets you straight to Myeongdong Station in just 10 minutes. And the hotel features an excellent bathtub! It is not a 5 star hotel-there is no breakfast and nothing fancy, but it offers facilities that are sufficiently clean and modern, a great location, and quite stylish interiors. There is a Toyoko Inn right nearby, and when I go on a business trip to an unfamiliar area, I often stay at Toyoko Inn or APA Hotel just to avoid the hassle of searching. However, this hotel is a much more cost-effective choice if you are in Dongdaemun."

"The room was very clean and tidy, and the price was just right. It was also very conveniently located, with four subway lines nearby and a convenience store just a short walk away. David at the front desk was very accommodating; even though it wasn't yet 3 PM for check-in, he told us we could check in early because a room was already cleaned. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was excellent, and I'll definitely come back again."

"📍Exiting Chungmuro Station through Exit 5, the building is less than 100 meters away. Plus, there's a direct connection to the subway from B1, making it super easy to get around with large luggage! 🤣 What I loved most was the completely self-check-in process! Before arrival, the hotel sends you your room number, door code, and luggage storage code, so there's no need to go to the front desk. There's a luggage storage area on B1 where you just enter your code, store your bags, and you're free to go out and explore. The room was surprisingly spacious, perfectly fine for two people, and we could even open two 28-inch suitcases. It also had a washing machine, refrigerator, and basic kitchen utensils, so cooking instant noodles late at night was no problem at all! 🍜🤣 There's a convenience store downstairs, and an airport bus stop nearby, which was incredibly convenient for our return journey as we didn't have to drag our luggage onto the subway. The only minor drawback was that the elevators were very crowded at check-out time, and we had to wait for several before we could get on. However, check-out was also very simple; just scan a QR code and enter your room number, and you're done."

"First off, this is a legitimate hotel, not a guesthouse or a self-built inn. It has all the standard hotel amenities. It's definitely a suitable place to stay. Now, regarding the location, don't trust some of the online guides. This area isn't a commercial district or where tourists would typically want to go. It's a wholesale market hub, much like Beijing's Zoo Market or Chengdu's Lotus Pond Market – places that open at night for stocking up and close during the day. Within a two-kilometer radius, there are tens of thousands of tailor shops. Of course, there are some malls that are open during the day, but they're very few, so it's not recommended for tourists to stay here. I chose this place because I was returning to China from Busan, wanted a good night's rest, and needed to go to Gimpo Airport the next day. For everyone else, it's probably best to stick to hotels near Myeongdong; having Lotte Department Store right outside is the way to go. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste; you have to buy them from a vending machine. They really don't offer them at all, unlike other hotels where they might not actively provide them but will give them to you if you ask, like a razor. The two beds are roughly the size you'd find in a student dormitory. The breakfast *looked* like it would be good, but the reality was that it ended at 10 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. I went around 8:40 AM, and all that was left was sliced bread, sliced baguette, and instant noodles. As for scrambled eggs, bacon fried rice, which should have been there, I didn't see any – they were gone by at least 8:30 AM, and they didn't restock at all. The small pots for dishes in my pictures were all empty. I only managed to eat four small mushrooms. The hotel description mentioned sausages and other items, but there was absolutely nothing. In the end, I had a cup of instant noodles and a glass of grape juice."

"Chungmuro is arguably the best and newest 4-star hotel in the Myeongdong area of Seoul. The location is genuinely excellent, just a few steps walk to Myeongdong. The only minor issue is that rooms facing the street might be a bit noisy at night, but it's not a major problem. I would still highly recommend it to friends for their next visit."

"Four men stayed here, and the beds were very spacious. (It could easily accommodate one more person.) The large windows allow for excellent ventilation, and there is almost no noise. There is a desk inside, which is convenient for ordering food, and the cleanliness was impeccable, so we were satisfied. Above all, I was most satisfied with the location, as it is very close to the subway station and you can reach the nearby main city on foot or by bus."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Four stars, deductions mainly for hardware details) For our trip to Busan's Haeundae, we booked this two-bedroom, one-living-room apartment-style family room. Booking in advance made the price very reasonable, and it's perfect for groups or families traveling with children. ✅ Pros & Highlights: 1. **Excellent Location**: Right next to the heart of Haeundae's main street. You can step out and immediately find shops for browsing, shopping, and buying daily necessities, making transportation incredibly convenient. It's only three subway stops directly to Shinsegae Centum City department store, making shopping and dining hassle-free. 2. **Great Layout**: It’s a standard two-bedroom, one-living-room layout with two queen-sized beds (1.5m). The two bathrooms mean no fighting over facilities. It also has a separate living room and an open-plan kitchen, plus a washing machine in the room, which makes daily laundry and cooking very convenient. 3. **Unique Balcony & Amenities**: The most unique feature is the rotating balcony, offering a good view. There's a café on the ground floor where guests can have breakfast (I didn't pre-order breakfast). The overall space is spacious and has a strong homey feel. There are three air conditioners in the unit, providing ample cooling. ⚠️ Areas for Improvement: 1. **Housekeeping Request**: Unlike regular hotels, there's no 'make up room' light. If you want your room cleaned, you have to call the front desk to schedule it, which is quite inconvenient. 2. **Lack of Blackout Curtains**: The second bedroom only has a sheer curtain, no thick blackout curtain. As soon as it gets light, direct sunlight streams into the room, making it easy to be woken up and affecting sleep quality. I hope the hotel can add blackout curtains to improve this. 3. **AC Remote Control Issue**: There's only one remote control for three air conditioners. If you want to turn on the AC in different rooms, you have to keep moving the remote back and forth, which is very inconvenient to use. 4. **Hot Common Hallways**: The common hallways on each floor don't have air conditioning. When entering and leaving the room, the hallways feel noticeably stuffy and uncomfortable. Overall, the value for money is good, and the location and layout are very suitable for family travel. However, there are quite a few hardware details that could be optimized. Friends who are particular about blackout curtains and AC remote convenience might want to consider these points beforehand."

"The location is quite convenient. It's right by Exit 1 of Chungmuro Subway Station, next to Myeongdong. There's a chain coffee shop and a 7-Eleven across the street. The room isn't big; once you open two 24-inch suitcases, there's not much space left to move around. The bathroom, however, is quite spacious and has a bathtub, but no shower curtain. So, after showering, the floor is all wet, and getting out of the tub feels pretty dangerous! You need to stay for 3 nights or more to request a cleaning service, and you have to inform the front desk before 10:00 AM if you want it cleaned. However, you can always ask the front desk for water or toiletries. There's a young guy at the front desk who has a really good attitude!"

"It was the first time I brought my friends to Korea and we decided to stay in WECO STAY insadong due to location since it was close to the train and bus and nearby Ikesondong and Jongno. (Walk to only just 5-10 mins) There were many convenient stores, restaurants, and coffee shop nearby along with olive young and daiso which is a plus for us. As for the rooms itself, comfy beds, nice amenities especially for the fridge, microwave and washer. Perfect for us who always had late night meal after the concert. Also the TV is huge and we’re really satisfy with it! The last thing i want to say is i really appreciate how helpful the staff was. We were having a difficult time with the TV at first but they helped us through and always answering every question quick (even it was around 10-11PM in the evening) If i have a chance to come to Korea again, i will think about staying in WECO STAY again 👍🏼"
