The location was fanastic and the staff were super nice. But the room was really unacceptable. It smelled of smoke and black mold, which was visible on the walls. I had one tiny grime covered window that faced the corner of a wall, so you couldn't see anything but brick. Everything was dirty. The sheets, towels, bathtub, floor, you name it. The bed was basically just a box spring and I could hear the springs squeek everything I inhaled. I've had better stays at a hostel and motels. The price should have been 1/3 of what it was considering the state of the room. The location is great. The staff is nice. But the rooms need an serious deep cleaning before they should charge money to stay there.

Here's a recap of my stay at the Seoul Riviera Hotel.
The address is 737 Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Even though I booked two months in advance, I ended up booking during a price surge. I paid 4330 KRW for 4 nights, which was basically over 1000 KRW per night. Usually, it's around 500-600 KRW. This time, there were a lot of people in Seoul for concerts, which drove hotel prices up three or four times. The hotel I stayed at last time in Seoul also had its prices hiked by several hundred.
Since there were three of us, I booked a standard room for three, with one double bed and one single bed. The room was relatively small, but it was quite clean, and the hotel staff were all very nice. We stayed for 4 consecutive nights, and it was very quiet, so the overall experience was good.
Here's the transportation information:
The airport bus 6006 goes directly to the hotel. You get off at the Riviera Hotel stop, which is right in front of the hotel entrance. You can enter the hotel directly, no need to walk even a minute, which is excellent.
How to take the airport bus to Incheon Airport? The hotel front desk had two diagrams: one for the airport bus timetable directly to Incheon Airport, and another showing where to catch the bus. From the main hotel entrance, turn right and walk straight to the first crosswalk. Cross the street, and you'll see a Starbucks. The bus stop is right in front of Starbucks, about a 5-minute walk. The entire journey takes less than 2 hours.
The nearest subway station is Cheongdam Station, about a 7-minute walk.
Because the hotel is in Gangnam-gu, close to Apgujeong, we walked to Apgujeong. It took about 20-30 minutes, strolling and looking around. We took a public bus to Hannam-dong, which was also very convenient.
The hotel also seemed to have a hot spring, but we didn't have time to go. There's also a particularly delicious 24-hour Korean restaurant near the hotel.
A stay at Hotel ENTRA Gangnam places you in the heart of Seoul, within a 5-minute drive of COEX Artium and Garosu-gil. This hotel is 3.1 mi (4.9 km) from Jamsil Arena and 3.5 mi (5.6 km) from Lotte World.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a fitness center, or other amenities including complimentary wireless internet access and a banquet hall.
For lunch or brunch, stop by Table Mountain, a restaurant that specializes in Italian cuisine. You can also grab snacks at the coffee shop/cafe. Quench your thirst with your favorite drink at the bar/lounge. Cooked-to-order breakfasts are available daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM for a fee.
Featured amenities include complimentary wired internet access, a 24-hour business center, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Make yourself at home in one of the 92 guestrooms featuring refrigerators and espresso makers. Your bed comes with down comforters and premium bedding. Wired and wireless internet access is complimentary, while 42-inch LED televisions with satellite programming provide entertainment. Private bathrooms have complimentary toiletries and bidets.

The 6006 airport bus took about 1.5 hours, which was very convenient. I was a bit worried about the stay before arriving, but a short-haired lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and spoke fluent English. She understood my needs perfectly and was very helpful. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and felt very personal.
The location is excellent: a 5-minute bike ride to Apgujeong, about a 20-minute walk, and Uber pick-ups are easy to pinpoint. There's a 24-hour fried chicken place and a convenience store right below the hotel.
The room was very clean; it was small but had everything you needed, including a coffee machine and a smart toilet with a wet/dry separation. The only minor downsides were no toothbrush or comb, and only two bottles of water in the mini-fridge.
With a stay at Hotel Tirol in Seoul (Seocho-gu), you'll be within a 5-minute drive of Garosu-gil and COEX Convention and Exhibition Center. This hotel is 4.3 mi (7 km) from Myeongdong Street and 4.5 mi (7.3 km) from Dongdaemun History and Culture Park.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as karaoke or take in the view from a garden. This hotel also features complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and a television in a common area.
Satisfy your appetite with Asian cuisine at MINOS, a restaurant which features a bar/lounge. Dining is also available at the coffee shop/cafe. Mingle with other guests at the complimentary reception, held daily.
Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Planning an event in Seoul? This hotel has facilities measuring 861 square feet (80 square meters), including conference space. Free valet parking is available onsite.

The hotel's location is great, not far from Sinsa Station and surrounded by many restaurants. The room wasn't small, and the bathroom was huge with a bathtub, so you could shower or soak. The water pressure was also excellent. I was surprised they even provided toothbrushes, as most hotels in Korea no longer do. They also stocked hair gel, toner, and other amenities, which was a really nice touch. They were very generous with the bottled water, providing 4 bottles daily. The only issue was right after checking in, maybe because they registered a male guest, I received many strange phone calls. My female companion answered a few times, and they eventually stopped. Later, I realized there might be a spa downstairs that offers other services.

Good / Positive👍👌👍👌👍
Hotel location is very convenience.
From Incheon Terminal 1, Airport Bus#6006 stops @Riveira Hotel. Just 5min walk to Lavita Hotel on the opposite side of this bus stop.
Moving around is convenient as there is a Metro connection nearby (CheongDam Station #Line7)
The room was nicely furnished with basic utility.
Negative 👎
Only bed was hard, pillow too soft.
Requested & was given additional 1pc pillow for my comfort.

The location is great, with many good restaurants nearby since it's close to Gangnam Station. The interior is clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly. It's a bit of a shame that there's only one bathroom and the soundproofing isn't perfect, but overall, it was a good stay.

I booked this place for my solo trip to Korea this time. I was a little nervous, but it turned out to be really good!
The amenities in the locker just outside the room included towels, earplugs, and I think one more item. I went to Olive Young to buy a toothbrush, thinking there wouldn't be one, but to my surprise, the communal shower room had toothbrushes, combs, skincare products, a hairdryer, and even a hair straightener! It was a real lifesaver.
I'll definitely consider staying here again for my future solo trips.
And a final tip for everyone: ALWAYS carry your hotel card with you! I forgot mine once and couldn't get into the female-only area, so I ended up waiting in the common area (lol).

This stay was a bit of a saga. First, I was given a room right by the elevator. When I went to change rooms, I ended up with the last available one, which had some equipment making a constant buzzing noise all night, making it impossible to sleep. I had to change rooms again. The third room I got had a bathroom door that wouldn't open, and the toilet kept running after flushing! In short, the hotel is quite old and has a lot of minor issues.

Great
RRoger Ow YongFirst time in Seoul and stay in hotel. Hotel was excellent: receptionist is helpful and courteous. Check in and out is fast. Hotel facilities is excellent too. Water pressure is high, with separate restrooms. Living room had a sliding door to close to separate restrooms and washing basin. Had a small vacancy is more than enough. Location is the best walking distance 2-3mins to hongdiv MRT station exit 9. Overall is professional and high standard of living. I surely with stay again for next trip to Seoul never regret . I like make commitment to housing keeping for the well done, receptionist will help to call taxi for customer . Well done !
GGuest UserThis was my second time staying at Ninetree Insadong, the first time booked on a different platform. The location is excellent, right across from Jogyesa Temple (you can book a room with a temple view) and near two subway stations, Anguk on Line 3 (nearer) and Jonggak on Line 1 (slightly farther but still within walking distance). The location made it easy to get around Seoul by public transport and the hotel is also near the airport bus 6011 stop, so you travel to and from the airport easily. I also appreciated the fact that the hotel is right above the Anyoung Insadong mall which made it convenient to grab snacks or drinks or souvenirs from the mall's shops. You also get easy access to Insadong street with lots of eateries, cafes and souvenir shops. The area has a relaxed cultural vibe without being overcrowded. If you are vegetarian or vegan, the area has a number of vegetarian and vegan eateries. The room itself was fairly standard for a four star hotel. The staff were very helpful when I needed to make calls to a local number to arrange something and also helped with communication and translation. Kudos to the wonderful staff.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts convenient transportation. You can take the airport bus to and from the airport, and the drop-off point is also where you catch the return bus, which is super handy. I took bus 6015 and got off at Myeongdong Station. After getting off, you'll see Subway Exit 8. Head towards Exit 8, and at the first intersection, turn right and walk straight. (Make sure you don't go past the CU convenience store; it's actually right opposite Exit 8.) It's quite close, just a few hundred meters walk. The hotel is also very close to our embassy, which gave me extra peace of mind. Every morning, I could see the embassy from my window seat. The room was a bit small; opening a 28-inch suitcase made it feel a bit cramped, but the hotel's cleanliness was good. The soundproofing was excellent; even though it's in lively Myeongdong, it was very quiet at night, which was fantastic.
GGuest UserMy stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul.
The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower.
However, there were a few things to note:
The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed.
There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful.
Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay.
GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Sinsa Subway Station, and if you stick to the main road, there's no steep hill like some photos online might suggest.
It's right next to Seoul Forest, and you can walk to Apgujeong in about 10-15 minutes. There's also a three-story Olive Young just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, which is super convenient! While the rooms aren't huge, the soundproofing is pretty good, and the shower water pressure is absolutely fantastic!
If you stay here, definitely make sure to check out the cafe on the top floor – the views are amazing. Overall, highly recommend. (Pics 1 & 2: Hotel rooftop cafe/bar. Pics 3 & 4: Views from the room)
AAmelaineWe enjoyed our stay at hotel manu. The room was spacious for 3, and did not have odor. I liked that every time they clean it, they leave a fragrant aroma to the room. The place was also quiet and did not have a lot of noise or caused any disturbance. They did not give free toothbrushes, but overall, the room was excellent and clean. They also provide netflix and youtube on the smart tv, which was a plus for us as well. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay.
BBokexierdienThe hotel has a great location. It's just two turns away from Chungmuro Subway Station Exit 8. Airport buses 6105 and 6011 also stop near Exit 8, making it very convenient to get to the hotel.
It's a fully self-service hotel with a self-check-in machine that has Chinese language options, which is super handy.
The room door uses a key code, which is easy to operate. The bathroom is very clean, and there's a slight step down from the toilet area to the shower, which prevents water from splashing out.
Myeongdong is also within walking distance. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Seoul.
AAnonymous UserStayed in a twin room in March. It was on the 4th floor, facing the main street with a tower view. The hotel's email after booking made the check-in process clear and easy to understand, which was helpful. Although the pre-arrival information stated that toiletries like shampoo wouldn't be provided, they were actually available in the room. Even though there was no Wi-Fi in the room, they offered pocket Wi-Fi rentals, which made my stay very comfortable. The toilet had a bidet, but the paper couldn't be flushed and had to be put in a trash can. This wasn't a big issue as I was prepared for it beforehand (the trash was collected when the room was cleaned). Considering the convenience, I would definitely consider staying here again.
AAnonymous UserOverall I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very helpful and quickly moved me when I had an issue. On my first night, I felt unsafe due to an aggressive roommate and left to stay elsewhere. The next day I was given a new room with a respectful roommate, and I felt safe, rested well, and had a great experience. I really appreciated how the staff handled everything
P. S.
Special thanks to Manager Noel, receptionist Anna, Gabriel and Isabella!
