The hotel's cleanliness was decent, but it felt like it was located right next to a landfill; every morning when I opened the window, there was a faint smell. The air conditioning in the room wasn't great, and I actually caught a cold from it. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and attentive, and they all spoke Chinese. One rather strange detail, especially for Chinese guests, was a large mirror facing directly towards the head of the bed... so if that bothers you, you might want to look elsewhere. The location itself is good, right next to a subway station, but unfortunately, that station doesn't have an escalator or elevator.

It was a cute stay. The shared space such as kitchen and living room is adorable. Lovely that you can use the washing machine and lovely that you got cereals and coffee or tea. I stayed 3 days but first day I just came to leave my stuff and I arrived back in the second day of my stay where I realized the fact that they got a kitchen , haha. The bad thing was the stairs, if you got +20kg luggage and 10 kg backpack as a solo girl is hard to go up as there is self entry space. I had no idea so it was a surprise when I got to the machine self check in. I guess this is how they do in Seoul. It was interesting.
The bad things: the bed sheets aren’t too soft, kinda rough, not sure if is the material or the detergent.
And for the capsule beds, they are made of wood or wood material , that means if anyone moves, you will hear absolutely every little movement of any kind if anyone moves. Usually there is another material to the new capsule stuff, not wood, so if anyone moves you don’t hear anything. These being noticed, is pretty hard to sleep with these 2 things . I didn’t had a rest sleep the 2 nights I spent here but it was still a cute stay. (And no, the earplugs doesn’t work, I put them in my ears + a eye mask that is circular the head ) also there is strong light during the night too in the capsules, there is no button to close that nonstop light.

I stayed for two nights alone. The windows were double-glazed, and the floor had underfloor heating, even warming the mattress, making it very comfortable. The cleaning was good; the floors and sinks were spotless. The only minor issue was a slight layer of dust on the hairdryer and hair straightener mounted on the wall, but for a hotel primarily for sleeping, it was perfectly adequate.
During room cleaning, the trash was emptied and the bed was made, and the shower area was tidied, but it seemed the sheets weren't changed. I actually made a mistake and left my valuables on the table when I requested room cleaning and went out. I was mentally prepared for them to be gone when I returned, but everything was left untouched, which made me feel I could really trust the staff.
I was a bit taken aback that the shower and toilet were in one unit, but I removed the toilet paper and treated the toilet as something that could get wet, and it worked out surprisingly well. I also got a toothbrush and water from the front desk, and they even stored my luggage after check-out, which was a great help. The hotel is conveniently located near the station and bus stops, with a convenience store and pharmacy right opposite.

This hotel is really close to Jongno 3-ga Station, making it super convenient for getting to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Myeongdong. The room was a bit small, but very clean. You can store your luggage before check-in, and the self-check-in process was a breeze. For a Seoul city center hotel, it offers excellent value for money.

I booked a deluxe king room, which, according to the room type description, should have been on floors 8-19. However, when I checked in, the front desk assigned me a room on the 6th floor. Upon entering, I found the room to be quite ordinary. The bathtub and shower facilities were also poorly designed; even with a shower curtain, water would spray out, leaving a puddle on the floor. I later checked my booking and realized they had given me the wrong room type! That evening, I went to the front desk to discuss it. Initially, they insisted that room 601 was a large room and there was no difference, even claiming other rooms would be smaller... It was only after I insisted that they agreed to move me to a higher floor, 1301, the next day. As expected, the higher-floor room was noticeably newer. What a waste of money for the first night's room difference!

The street in front of the hotel was noisy at night, making me wonder if it was a bit unsafe, but a major road was just a short distance away, so I wasn't too worried. When I asked for an extra blanket because it was cold at night, I was told they didn't have any, but they kindly brought me an electric heater.
From around 10 to 11 AM, there seemed to be bread and jam available, and free coffee, candies, and snacks near the entrance, which was a nice touch.
I was relieved to have booked a room with a window, but it was a small window with some kind of film on it, so no sunlight came in, which was disappointing. I wondered if it used to be a love hotel.
While the toilet and shower aren't completely separated, it's not an issue if you're careful about the shower's direction.
It was reassuring that the night staff could speak Japanese, and there was an airport bus stop a few minutes' walk away. So, despite being a last-minute hotel search, I had a reasonably comfortable stay, aside from the nighttime noise outside.
There was a short, robe-like garment, which felt subtly Korean and was cute.

This hostel is centrally located, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. From Incheon, I took the 6001 limousine bus, and it was only about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. There are several convenience stores nearby, and both bus stops and subway stations are easily accessible. It's a new hostel, and both the rooms and the linens were clean. The shower room is a bit small, but it's a good excuse to check out a nearby spa. When you shower, the toilet does get wet, but slippers are provided. There are also extra towels in the hallway that you can use whenever needed.
I really enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace with some late-night ramen. The common area is well-equipped with a microwave, instant ramen, energy drinks, coffee, a water dispenser, and ice. There's also a washing machine and detergent available, which was a lifesaver for drying clothes on a rainy day. Trash cans on each floor help keep the rooms tidy.
The staff were present from morning until around 9 PM and always greeted me with a smile, which made my stay very pleasant. I could sometimes hear voices in the hallway, but noise from nearby rooms wasn't really an issue. The hot water in the shower was fine, and there were plenty of power outlets. The provided phone charger was a thoughtful touch. The room isn't huge, but it's perfectly sufficient for a solo traveler. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

the hotel was very nice, it was winter and it was warm enough, but it blew a little from the window, but the underfloor heating was saved, there was always hot water in the shower, the hotel has everything you need for living: a washing machine, napkins, a shared refrigerator, a cooler with water, towels, toothbrushes and toothpastes, the only big minus this is the absence of a microwave, sometimes I wanted to come and make ramen or warm rice... + there was someone's hair in the room and in the shower, but I'm not a very squeamish person, so I cleaned everything myself, and the bed was also broken a little, The bedclothes were stained, so I took my bedclothes from home just in case, and everything was fine, but these are small disadvantages, because the location of the hotel is very good, it's a 5-minute walk to the metro station, there is a CU nearby, namsan is also very close that's why I liked everything, but there are disadvantages that would be worth improving
many people write that it's noisy here, but I didn't notice much, only if people check into the hotel, but yes, sometimes there is a smell of food in the room due to the fact that there is some kind of restaurant downstairs.

Overall, our stay at Eight Rest Hostel Jong-ro was average.
📍 The location is very convenient. Both subway stations and bus stops are within walking distance, making it easy to get around the city. It’s well connected to major areas, which was definitely a plus.
🏨 The room was quite small, especially after opening our luggage, but basic amenities and facilities were provided and worked fine. Everything essential was available.
🔊 Soundproofing was weak. We could clearly hear noise from the neighboring room, and the music from shops downstairs was quite loud late at night. This may be an issue for light sleepers.
Overall, it’s a decent option if you prioritize location and mainly use the room for resting after a full day out. However, if you are sensitive to noise, it might not be the best choice.

I checked in on the 14th floor using a self-service machine, which even allowed me to choose my own room. Toothbrushes and toothpaste cost 1,000 KRW per set, but the quality was terrible, so I recommend bringing your own or buying them from a convenience store. Check-out is at 12 PM, with a grace period until 12:30 PM; I suggest discussing this with the front desk if needed.
The location is super convenient for getting around; you can take the subway or bus anywhere. For Incheon Airport, there's an airport bus stop about a ten-minute walk away.
Downstairs, there are plenty of convenience stores and restaurants. For Olive Young, I recommend checking out the one on the second basement floor of Doota Mall; it's spacious and has longer operating hours.
The twin beds can be pushed together, which is a nice touch. My only complaint is the old-fashioned bathtub with a showerhead – the water pressure was so strong it actually hurt a bit! 😣

討討伐中的吉伊Location is excellent, convenient for subway or bus, including airport bus. Lots of dining options and shopping areas nearby. The hotel facilities are probably getting old. Some issues with the water tap, sometimes water kept running out even it’s closed, though the staff solved it fast. The room and corridor outside is a bit dark. You will always hear music from the street during daytime, but night time it is okay, not sure if it’s becoz I stayed during weekdays, so the music didn’t last till midnight and it won’t affect sleep.

RRubaExceeded all expectations! The hotel's location is superb, really close to all the attractions. There are plenty of shops downstairs, and I highly recommend OurBakery – their bread is delicious! You don't need to bother with the hotel breakfast. They also have a self-service laundry and a gym, which is perfect for travelers. The room size was just right, though it would be even better if the shower curtain could be replaced.

The air conditioning was simply unacceptable; it was so hot! The AC system is clearly outdated and couldn't regulate the temperature. Even with outside temperatures at -5 degrees Celsius, I was sweating in a short-sleeved shirt and couldn't sleep. The breakfast was pretty much the same every day and quite mediocre. It's fine for a day or two if you're in a pinch, but having it every day at the hotel was a bit much for me. ☹️

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. It's very close to Sinsa Subway Station, and if you stick to the main road, there's no steep hill like some photos online might suggest.
It's right next to Seoul Forest, and you can walk to Apgujeong in about 10-15 minutes. There's also a three-story Olive Young just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, which is super convenient! While the rooms aren't huge, the soundproofing is pretty good, and the shower water pressure is absolutely fantastic!
If you stay here, definitely make sure to check out the cafe on the top floor – the views are amazing. Overall, highly recommend. (Pics 1 & 2: Hotel rooftop cafe/bar. Pics 3 & 4: Views from the room)

GGuest UserMy stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul.
The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower.
However, there were a few things to note:
The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed.
There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful.
Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay.

MMisa93The location is good if you want peace, since it's close to Bukhansan National Park and not city centre. The room is very spacious, but the cleanliness was so-so. I found someone's hair on the bedside table, and the tiles in the bathroom weren't very clean. I guess it's what you get for the price. If you're a budget traveller, it's a good choice, if you want something more, look for other places. But the view was amazing.

The bathroom was spacious, making for a pleasant shower experience. We chose a quad room, and there was enough space to spread out my luggage. There are also lockers for valuables, but you need to bring your own padlock. The accommodation is on the third floor with no elevator, so it's a bit of a struggle if you have large luggage like I did. Also, the beds don't have curtains, which can make you feel a bit exposed. Since the room is small, any noise, like using the toilet in the middle of the night, is amplified, and I worried about disturbing others. However, for the price, I'm very satisfied! No complaints at all!
