Hotels near Yongsan-Gu, Seoul

The hotel's location is fantastic, right at Yongsan Station Exit 3. Just follow the elevated walkway, enter the 'Food Exchange' and you'll find the elevator. This is the second floor; take the elevator down to the first floor for the Novotel lobby. The Mercure, Ibis, and Novotel are all connected. Continue through the Novotel lobby to the other end to reach the Ibis front desk. Check-in and luggage storage are very convenient. Given it's Seoul and the excellent transportation links (subway, ITX, KTX from Yongsan Station are all very accessible), the hotel's price is comparable to downtown Shanghai 🤣, but when you factor in potential taxi costs for getting around, it offers really good value for money. Plus, the room isn't small, the environment is quiet and comfortable, with complimentary mineral water and a kettle, and the toiletries are of good quality. Highly recommend!

this hotel was very near from my daughter’s dormitory, so location was best for me, and the thing I liked was the kitchen, where you could have tea and coffee whenever you wanted, and cook if you want, also It was comfortable and clean. I'll come back later🤗

Cons: 1. Staying on the fourth floor, right outside the elevator is the swimming pool. The chlorine and disinfectant smell from the pool was really unpleasant and strong. I think other floors should be fine though. 2. My room, 416, was a corner unit, so when I opened the curtains, I could see the road. The glass insulation wasn't great, and I could clearly hear the car noise from outside! The room layout was irregular, and the bed faced a mirror at an angle. 3. There are no outlets by the bedside table!!! There are outlets on the desk though, no need for an adapter 😂 Pros: 🥰 Super convenient for going to the airport! The airport line to Gongdeok Station only takes an hour. 😍 The hotel is right above the subway, making travel incredibly convenient. You can reach various shopping areas, Gyeongbokgung Palace, and more within 25 minutes. The hotel's B1 level connects directly to the subway, so you don't even need to go outside. 😝 There's a Lotte Supermarket on the hotel's B1 level, and a large E-Mart (like a Korean Sam's Club, a huge supermarket where locals shop, with all sorts of food, daily necessities, and fruits – and you can get tax refunds!) is about 300 meters away. Sushi and fried chicken often go on sale after about 9 PM, usually around 30% off. 🤩 There are tons of great places to eat near the hotel. I highly recommend the Seolleongtang (ox bone soup)! I ate it for three mornings straight! The radishes at the restaurant were incredibly delicious! 😊 There are four Olive Young stores near the hotel! Perfect for restocking! You can just buy everything and bring it straight back to the hotel, freeing up your hands. 🤗 The room cleaning was excellent. The hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, and hand soap. The toiletries smell amazing!!! And the quality is good too. I really want to buy the same products to take home. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub and a bidet toilet! 😇 The front desk service was also very good, although there was no Chinese service. For me, with decent English, communication wasn't a big problem. You need to swipe a Visa card when checking in. All in all, I'll likely stay here again next time, but I'll definitely choose a room not on the fourth floor and not facing the road!

The hotel's location is excellent, less than a 5-minute walk from Jonggak subway station. Right nearby is a food street with many dining options. It's less than a 30-minute walk to Gyeongbokgung Palace and about 20-25 minutes to Myeongdong. You can also walk to the Euljiro subway station in under 30 minutes. It's a very central and convenient spot. There's also a unique little coffee shop next door that only sells pour-over coffee; it's delicious and affordable. It's super convenient whether you're staying to explore the city or for K-pop idol-related activities, as everything is close by. I met quite a few Chinese guests staying here. **Cleanliness:** The room was very clean and tidy, no one had smoked, and the common areas were also clean. **Facilities:** The facilities are complete. There's a water dispenser in the common area where you can get cold or hot water, and the room has a mini-fridge, which is very handy. **Service:** The service was fantastic! I interacted with three Korean staff members, and all of them were super nice. You can store your luggage before checking in. Staff member A spoke excellent English, was very polite, and even wrote my name on a tag for my luggage. When I checked in later, I met Staff member B, who was learning Chinese and could communicate well. His service was superb; he directly helped with the check-in process and even proactively offered to help carry my luggage to the room. He was very enthusiastic and kind! When checking out, I met Staff member C, who was also great; he simply helped collect the card for checkout and even gave me some cookies as a farewell gift. After all these interactions, my impression of Korean guys has significantly improved!

Great hotel, perfectly located right next to Seoul Station. You can exit from subway exit 12 and follow the signs, and you won't even need to step outside. The room isn't huge, but it's very clean. The front desk offers free bottled water and canned hot drinks. There's also a coin-operated laundry machine; washing and drying costs 10,000 Korean Won. There's an Olive Young and a CU convenience store right on the first floor, which is fantastic. Getting to Myeongdong is super easy too; you can catch a bus from the first floor, and it only takes about 10 minutes. It drops you right at Lotte Duty Free, which is much more convenient than taking the subway.

The room was okay, just a bit too small for the three of us. I didn't get a good night's sleep any day, and my daughter threw up all four nights. It's a shame there was no bathtub. The breakfast was really good; we had it all four mornings. The gym on the top floor was great, but I was too busy each day to use it. The room was cleaned daily, but it wasn't spotless. That said, I wouldn't say there were any major problems – it was still pretty good overall. The subway station was a bit of a walk, but acceptable. Since I was with my dad and daughter, pushing a stroller made it a bit more inconvenient. I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The worst part was how cold Korea was; I came back with a cold.

Location-wise, it's really great, very convenient to get around. There are two OY restaurants downstairs and plenty of good food nearby. Since it was our last stop, catching the 6015 bus to the airport meant standing room only; it's better to wait for other larger buses. Facilities: The room itself was good overall, but the pillows were way too soft. I'm used to latex pillows, and these really made my neck uncomfortable. Many hotels now offer a pillow menu, and it would be fantastic if they could make that change here. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was better than the one in the laundry room, and the dryer was excellent – my jeans were dry in 45 minutes. Hygiene: I'm not sure why there was a lot of lint in the room. Is that why there's an air purifier in the room? My sister only stopped coughing after we turned it on.

I would say “love this place” for these reason ✅good location : not far from metro station sinchon exit3/4 and i recommend you to get here by airport bus “6002” is the best choice and comfortable. ✅clean ✅good smell ✅price reasonable (compare with location and all amenity provide) ✅looks new (i think it’s newly open) ✅Big TV (have netflix and blah blah) ✅Can Drop the baggage before checkin ❌but i don’t like the time to checkin i think it expolit customer and abnormal time checkin 22:00pm and checkout within 11-12:00 pm. Not fair for customer and not even stay over 1 night24 hr. “Please thinking about this point”

Absolutely loved the hotel, i went on my first solo trip and this hotel was perfect for it, although it says seoul station, the nearest station is sookmyung women's university station which is on line 4, closest exit is exit 10 you can take the lift or the stairs. Since it is on line 4 its only 1 stops to seoul station and 3 stops to Myeongdong which makes it super convenient. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly, the hotel room i booked had a bathtub which of course i made good use of each night!. I loved how i was able to connect my own netflix to the tv. I think maybe the down side to it is that since its near seoul station you do hear the trains pass by often but its really a minor thing. Definitely will stay at this hotel again!
