"The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Vang Vieng. The night market and a 7-Eleven are just 200 meters away, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars. The breakfast was decent. However, during check-in, I was in line, and a Caucasian woman came after me, but the front desk surprisingly started assisting her first. I wasn't going to let that slide, so I immediately insisted on being served next. To my surprise, the female receptionist then proceeded to handle both my check-in and the Caucasian woman's at the same time! The service was lacking, but the front desk was very eager to add me on WeChat to promote tour packages. I've stayed at various hotels under this chain, including Eastin Grand Phayathai and OZO, and this Vang Vieng location is probably the worst. It's likely an older property, as the TV had static, and the toilet seat was broken. You don't even need a key card to go up to your room. If it's around 300-400 [currency], maybe it's acceptable, but anything more than that, I'd say skip it."

"This is my second time in Vang Vieng, and I highly recommend it to my Chinese friends. There are so many handsome European and American guys here! My return visit is a testament to how much I appreciate this hotel. Its location is still the biggest plus, right next to the Nam Song River. The bar street, night market, and various massage shops are all within walking distance, making it super convenient for tubing or hot air balloon rides. The hotel pool is still free for unlimited use and remains my favorite relaxation spot every time I stay. Although the rooms haven't been renovated and are a bit dated, the layout is functional, and they are clean and tidy. Compared to other hotels nearby, it still offers great value for money. The front desk service is as warm and reliable as ever; they skillfully arranged a taxi for me and even recommended new attractions based on my preferences. The breakfast is consistently delicious. Whether it's your first time or second time visiting Vang Vieng, this downtown hotel is always a worthwhile choice!"

"Upon arriving at the hotel, the receptionist, Nong Suan, checked us in and informed us that our room had been upgraded to the best suite on the seventh floor. She was very friendly and welcoming, which was excellent! The room itself was spacious with mountain views and a view of the pool. It had all the amenities one would expect from a hotel. The TV channels were limited and only in Chinese. Regarding the room conditions, there are several areas that need improvement. For instance, there were water stains on the ceiling around the air conditioning vents in both the living room and bedroom. In the bathroom, there were yellow stains around the toilet, and the showerhead and the area where you stand to shower had stains. The silicone sealant around the sink was moldy and black. If these issues were addressed, it would be fantastic."

"The hotel is on the main street, so traffic until late night. Even if I had asked a quiet room (I know it is not guaranteed) I was given a room over the main street and the funny thing is that the window door was not closing so all the noise was entering, together with smells (pollution and smoke from different fires). Apart from this, room was clean and comfortable. Smell from the bathroom where, in the shower, you only have the tall and fix shower head meaning you cannot just wash your feet if in need, every time you have to take a shower. Unfortunately staff was not so helpful (anyway polite). Pool always in the shade."

"The location is fantastic, right outside there's a night market (but whatever you do, don't use the ATMs near the night market! They'll eat your card...). Facilities: The rooms are spacious and modernly decorated. All the essentials like disposable shower caps and slippers are provided, which was actually better than I expected. There's also a pool and outdoor dining area, and I even saw a cute cat. The only downside was that the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. Service: The owner is very welcoming and always greets guests. The waffles for breakfast were delicious. We arrived late, and all the other shops were closed, but we were able to sign up for the next day's activities at the front desk without any issues. It felt like there were quite a few Chinese guests staying here. Even though the owner doesn't speak Chinese, all the facilities have Chinese signs."

"I was mentally prepared before choosing this hotel because its rating was indeed quite low. However, I still chose it because it was ranked 5th on Ctrip. Overall, I'd give it a neutral review. First, let's talk about the problems. The hotel's location is really remote. If you want to go to the city center, especially the bustling streets, it's at least a 20-minute walk. You can also choose to take a taxi, but as you know, in Vang Vieng, Laos, you basically only have tuk-tuks, which are very inconvenient and difficult to hail. Also, many of their apps don't work in Vang Vieng; the logo seems to work, but my Chinese phone number never registered successfully. Unless you have a motorcycle or car, I really wouldn't recommend considering this hotel. Secondly, the hotel's cleanliness. I didn't expect the cleaning staff to be so careless when I checked in. I could see obvious dust and water stains in many corners, such as the faucets, wall cracks, and TV cabinets, which significantly affected my experience. As for the hotel facilities, I found the toilet seat wasn't very good, but everything else was fine. Of course, you know, some small insects are unavoidable in Southeast Asia, but the situation at the hotel is much better. Finally, I'd like to mention the hotel's services. First, it's commendable that they have many day tours available, and the front desk can help us book them without charging a high service fee. They can also help us call a taxi, which is hard to imagine, considering it costs 50 RMB to get to the high-speed rail station in Vang Vieng, and there's only one tuk-tuk available. Now, I want to talk about the hotel's strengths. First, I think the staff's service attitude is excellent. On the day I checked in, I was greeted by a Lao girl. Her English wasn't very fluent, but she tried her best to communicate with me effectively. She also worked hard to help me with getting a taxi to the high-speed rail station and arranging the day tour. She even upgraded my room. Because I wanted a double room when booking, and that type was already booked when I arrived, she upgraded me to a family room, which was a pleasant surprise. The next day, an Indian guy was also very helpful and allowed me to check out an hour late. He even reminded me to get up 20 minutes before I was supposed to take the tuk-tuk to catch my flight. Of course, I also suggest that the front desk staff improve their English. The breakfast was fairly substantial; at least I found the dining experience pleasant. It was mostly American fast food, which was quite palatable. However, I have a suggestion: the beverage selection could be more varied. Only coffee was offered that day; there wasn't even fresh milk, let alone juice, and like other hotels, it tasted like instant powder. If you're on a budget, I think you could consider booking a hotel near the main road in the city center, but don't have high expectations. Treat it as a short-term stay, as you won't be spending much time in Vang Vieng. If you have a high budget, definitely book the most expensive hotel in Vang Vieng, because in an underdeveloped country like Laos, you have to max out your budget to get a satisfactory experience. Overall, I wouldn't highly recommend this hotel."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Exceptional Stay at Sunrise Mountain View I had the absolute best stay at Sunrise Mountain View in Vang Vieng. From the moment we arrived, the receptionists made us feel so welcome. They were incredibly kind, always helpful, and genuinely tried to create conversation with us. It didn’t feel transactional at all ,they were just wholesome and warm people. The entire team was amazing, including security and the cleaners. The hotel was very clean, well-maintained, and felt safe throughout our stay. Breakfast was good and satisfying, with enough variety to start the day properly before activities. What really stood out was how helpful they were with everything. They helped us book our tours around Vang Vieng, arranged our train tickets to Luang Prabang, and even called a tuk-tuk for us whenever we needed one. It made our trip completely stress-free. I would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Vang Vieng. Thank you for making our trip so special!"

"I loved the room, the pool, the location, the view of the mountains, the attentive staff, but the wife and son were not my favorite. The 2 local staff work diligently for 12 hours a day every day cooking and cleaning the entire building on their own. They're constantly moving, but they always stop to smile at a guest and ask if they can help with something. The wife is so rude to the local staff. She screeches at them like she's yelling across a field instead of from the dining room table where she plops herself and listens to dramas at full volume on her phone the entire day when she isn't napping. The son often holds down the reception desk in the afternoons while he's playing mmorpg's streaming at his laptop and becoming very annoyed if his quest is interrupted. The pace could be such high-quality of only the Vietnamese owners were."

"Environment: Great location. Vang Vieng is a small town, so you can walk everywhere within the district. This place isn't right on the main road, but tucked away on a side street, so you don't have to worry about traffic noise. Facilities: There's a pool. The facilities aren't brand new, but for the price, they're perfectly functional and I have no complaints! It's really excellent value for money. Cleanliness: Average, but still very clean. Service: Excellent! They even include breakfast, what more could you ask for? Fantastic!"

The overall atmosphere is nice and cozy, making me feel truly relaxed, like I'm really on vacation. The room was super clean and well-arranged. All the facilities were complete and worked perfectly. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the room itself was quiet, perfect for unwinding. Another thing that really impressed me was the staff's service. Everyone was polite and friendly, making it feel more like staying at a friend's house than a typical hotel. The location is also great; it's convenient for travel, and the surrounding area is pleasant and private, not too chaotic.
