"Location is close to the restaurants. However, if you’re carrying big luggage, it can be inconvenient as the vehicle can’t drop you off directly at doorstep and you have to pull the luggage all the way from roadside to the hotel on the rocky road. The staff didn’t offer any assistance when I arrived with luggage as the hotel entrance is one step higher up from the street.
The hotel room is ideal, but can still be improved. The door lock looks fragile."
"Excellent location, right in the center but away from the noisy areas. Everything is easily accessible on foot.
It's situated in a small square, which is convenient for taxis to drop you off right at the entrance.
The aparthotel is new and tastefully decorated. The room is spacious with a mini-kitchen.
The bathroom has a large shower (though the door opening inwards is a bit awkward).
The sheets smelled wonderfully clean.
They provide small individual portions of shower gel and conditioner, useful for a few days.
The staff are friendly.
The spa is nice, but the pool water was a bit cold.
Overall, definitely recommended."
"The reception mr Cristian are very professional and very polite and helpful mr Cristian👍👍👍👍👍👍👍.
And another reception Roxana is very helpful and friendly and very patient explaining how to go about the way for places of interest .👍👍👍👍👍👍"
"The hotel certainly have some history but everything is so well maintained and cleaned, the room looks just like the photos they show.
You need your card to press the lift and get in the floor hallway, which adds an extra layer of security. The hallway has a pleasant smell.
The staff are very welcoming and willing to answer questions.
The station is near underground metro and numerous bus stations, you can find public transports to most tourist sites.
It was a pleasant stay and to get this experience for such affordable price I would say I definitely under-paid."
"Location of this hotel in the old town is the perfect base for exploring central Bucharest. Couple of mins walk to tram stops. 5 mins walk to the Central Park.
Hotel is lovely, modern feel and trendy slogans and decor. Staff were amazing here, we felt very welcome. They were very helpful on check in and check out.
Breakfast was really nice lots of healthy options but also some nice treats too. Hot breakfast items were limited to scrambled egg, hard boiled egg, toast, smoked bacon and sausage but was adequate to fill up before a day exploring.
The room was spacious and with modern decor and fixtures.
Would def stay there again."
"A perfect apartment for the price. Clean, tidy, with coffee and tea station and still water in the fridge. Very spacious, and nice view from the balcony. Having a toothbrush kit would be nice. But overall I’m satisfied."
"The location is in the center and it is convenient to get there from the airport by direct bus. The room is spacious, but the beds take up most of the space, there is no room for a normal table. But there is a mini-kitchen with a set of dishes and a microwave. A very large bathroom, but without a bathtub. Several windows under the ceiling, maybe for the better, that they are quite small, because in the evening it is noisy from the street, especially on weekends. Of the minuses: on the 4th floor it is not fun to climb even without bags up this spiral staircase (however, funny appeals brightened the way). The reception is in the neighboring hotel, the employee is very nice and positive. Overall I liked it, I confidently recommend it."
"This hotel has a unique local charm, though it's a bit older. The elevator is one of those semi-automatic types installed behind the stairwell, so you have to close the door yourself. Directly across from the hotel is an old, abandoned building, which makes the area feel a bit run-down. The room itself was quite clean, but the bathroom did have a slightly dated feel. On the bright side, there are attractions nearby and plenty of restaurants to choose from."
"In an old house, it is worth experiencing. The room is in the attic. The overall space is enough. It matches the introduction of the merchant. It is quiet at night. The main attractions can be reached on foot. The hotel's breakfast is very good. The food for dinner is also rich. Tucao bedding is average, the sheets are pilling, uncomfortable, Needs improvement."

Amazing
PPeiPearlThe hotel's location is super convenient for shopping and sightseeing right outside the door! There are also plenty of dining options. The facilities are great, though the heated towel rail wasn't turned on. The main downside is that it's right on a central road, so it's incredibly noisy! There's constant traffic, and downstairs by the roadside, young people laughing loudly at the cafe were really annoying. We had no choice but to keep the windows closed and endure the stuffiness; we couldn't open them for fresh air while sleeping!
HhYuuut.I was on a solo trip and the staff's English was excellent, making communication a breeze. Their service attitude was superb, and I had a fantastic experience! The restaurant, bar, spa, beauty, and nail services were all great. I'll definitely be back!
SSipeExcellent and clean hotel. Great location near the old city. A very well-trafficked street next to, but still quiet night stay. Near the minimarket and bakery. Friendly service and staff. The breakfast was a variety, but the breakfast restaurant was a little noisy and confusing. The sauna department with the pool was pluss. The same was the private balcony, but the balcony chairs were missing.
TTigernassifI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Elite World Grand Hotel, conveniently located on Basin Ekspres in Istanbul, and the experience was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment of arrival, the warm and professional demeanor of the staff was notable, catering to every need and making guests feel genuinely welcomed.
The rooms are a true highlight, exhibiting a harmonious blend of luxury and comfort, with plush bedding, state-of-the-art amenities, and breathtaking views of the vibrant city of Istanbul. The attention to detail was evident, reflecting a high standard of cleanliness and a keen eye for aesthetic elegance.
The culinary offerings at the hotel are exceptional. Each dish I tried was a dance of flavors, paying homage to the rich culinary heritage of Turkey while also offering a variety of international cuisines to suit every palate. The dining atmosphere was equally commendable, providing a pleasant backdrop to every meal.
The hotel’s location is highly advantageous, offering easy access to a myriad of Istanbul’s attractions, shopping destinations, and dining options. Whether one is in the city for business or pleasure, the Elite World Grand Hotel’s location ensures convenience.
Furthermore, the range of facilities, including a well-equipped fitness center and a serene spa, added an extra layer of indulgence to the stay, allowing guests to unwind and rejuvenate effectively.
I extend my sincere compliments to the entire team at Elite World Grand Hotel, Basin Ekspres, Istanbul, for making my stay memorable. The unwavering dedication to service excellence and the superior quality of facilities make this hotel a distinguished choice for any traveler seeking a blend of luxury, comfort, and authentic Turkish hospitality.
MMCUZZAOur stay at the Mercure Bucharest was truly memorable, thanks to the exceptional service and warm hospitality. The rooms were spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the city. The attention to detail in the room's amenities made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special mention goes to the receptionist, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She provided us with amazing suggestions for places to visit in Romania, turning our holiday into an incredible experience. Her local knowledge and enthusiasm made all the difference, guiding us to hidden gems we might have otherwise missed.
The breakfast at the hotel was fantastic, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options that catered to all tastes. It was the perfect way to start our days of sightseeing.
The hotel's location is very convenient, with easy access to Bucharest's main attractions and public transport. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, Mercure Bucharest offers a welcoming and comfortable stay. We left with wonderful memories and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
GGuest UserI cannot fault this hotel. So perfectly situated without being noisy, lovely staff, fantastic and varied breakfast (with excellent coffee), a well appointed gym, spotless and spacious. Thank you for making a solo female traveller happy, well fed and safe.
GGuest UserIn any self-respecting hotel, you would expect basic amenities like toothbrush holders in the bathroom. There were none, so we had to place our toothbrushes on the counter by the sink. Even simple items such as a shower cap were not provided.
Housekeeping entered every morning without waiting after knocking. During heavy snowfall, the hotel made no effort to clear a path outside, and we had to walk through snow and frozen puddles to reach our taxi, while other hotels had cleared walkways for their guests.
On our last morning, my husband went to buy a coffee and was sent to the dining room. When he made a coffee, a staff member immediately questioned whether we had paid for breakfast and called reception to check, without giving him a chance to say he would pay. She then loudly announced, “Sir! You haven’t paid for the coffee!” as if he were trying to steal. He paid immediately and didn’t even take the change.
Overall, this hotel is no more than a three-star property. Management seemed absent, and the staff were unprofessional and inattentive
GGuest UserHello,
This is my second time staying at this establishment.
Everything was fine, except for a persistent sewage smell that lasted for a few hours upon my arrival.
I would happily return to this establishment, but please make sure this kind of problem doesn't happen again. Even though I didn't report it this time, I won't stay if it recurs. As I said, I really like this place.
SSyed Muhammad shahid AliIt was good experience. Closer to bus station and tram station was only 700 meter . The only bad point was lot of noise . No control after evening . Groups were singing and disturbing others . Breakfast was included . Simple and good . But noise made the stay horrible . Must be control after 8 PM . Rest was good
