"The hotel is good, and the breakfast is good too. However, it doesn't offer a view and is located in the middle of the party scene, with music playing late into the night. It's perfect for a one-night stay to explore the island's center. The beach is lovely in the morning when it's empty, but gets crowded in the evening."
"I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was great very modern and clean but the room was very far from the main road and nightlife and restaurants - they did warn on the booking that this room is the furthest away from the beach and they didn't lie. Luckily they have golf carts that can take you to the main road and back 24h but is a bit inconvenient. The pool near my room was very luxurious. I would definitely recommend this room if you're just looking for a place to lay your head while you're taking your time in the day to go snorkeling and diving."
"We stayed at Dusita Buncha for 6 days. Our room had a sea and pool view. The room was spacious, but there weren't enough shelves for small items, so all our little things ended up in bags in the corner. The bathroom didn't have a shower screen. We also heard the constant noise of water pumps. They offered us a room on a higher floor, but it had the same issue. Some people might not notice it, but I got used to it over the days. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The fridge and air conditioning were a bit loud, but again, you get used to everything. We ended up sleeping without the AC. The hotel has beautiful grounds, but I wish they'd take better care of them, especially clearing trash and dirt from the pathways. The sea had lots of coral and fish. We took a boat to Nang Yuan islands, which cost 300 baht per person for a round trip. The gym smelled strongly of rubber, so I couldn't use it. Unfortunately, they didn't provide water bottles or towels for our child (6 years old). The staff were friendly and responsive! Dining at the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner was a bit expensive, so we went to neighboring cafes instead. My suggestion would be to create a small kids' room or playground, as there's plenty of space on the hotel grounds. Also, having some board games would be a nice addition."
"Great choise for all aspects!
It is located close to all activities in Sairee beach, all best restaurants and daily goods saling shops, but it is quiet, no disturbance from parties or walking street noise. Hotel located in quite corner.
Update: staff (front desk and housekeepers) speaks English as well (Trip.com description mentioned only Thai and Sweden as spoken languages).
Room was clean and convinient with 24 hours hot water nd electricity supply.
Owner allowed us to check out later, but did not charge anything, special thanks for that.
If we will come back to Koh Tao, definately this hotel will be our primary choice."
"Excellent location. 5 minutes one was you are near all the Padi centres and the town with great food and the pier. 5 mins the next direction you have the night life and more restaurants. Also right on the beach.
Staff always cleaned our room but had to ask for top ups on coffee but water always supplied.
The hotel.was very dated with no TV in the room. The pool was falling apart in places.
The staff were lovely and very helpful, super friendly and nice."
"I would not recommend staying at Sairee Hut Resort.
The place is extremely run down. Our room had no hot water, the shower drain was clogged and overflowing, and mosquitoes filled the room, making it uncomfortable to sleep.
However, what bothered me most was the resort’s treatment of animals. They keep wild birds confined in small cages out front, with barely any room to move, let alone fly. I’m not sure if this is cultural or meant for tourist entertainment since the birds can talk, but whatever the reason, it is cruel! Birds are meant to be free, not locked in cages for display. These birds were kept in the cages for the entire duration of our stay, and I can only imagine how long they’ve been trapped there.
Overall, this resort was disappointing, both in its facilities and ethics. I would not stay here again."
"Accommodation in a good location. near If Sairi Road There are motorcycles for rent as well.
But I would like to break the bed linen + blanket + pillow, very old."
"This hotel is located at the very end of Tao's busiest and liveliest street. The grounds are well-maintained, and the pool is deep and clean. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the pier. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The stairs are a bit steep. The room was small but cozy, with a balcony. Housekeeping came daily (they practically buried us in toilet paper!), and they brought fresh water every day too. The main issue with this hotel is the terrible acoustics in the hallway. Around 7 AM, when the cleaning staff arrive, they might place a dustpan or bucket on the floor in the hallway, but it sounds like they've put it right next to your bed, specifically at the head of it... And we were particularly 'lucky': we had a couple staying next door who enjoyed having drunken arguments..."
"Lots of mixed reviews about this place. From bed bugs, to rude staff. We didn’t experience either bed bugs or rude staff but the hotel was a bit run down. The staff were quite friendly, loved our kids and their amazement at coconuts being everywhere. Breakfast buffet was a bit underwhelming but it got the job done. It wasn’t great fit vegetarians. The rooms were fine, a villa had 2 separate rooms so had privacy but was a bit inconvenient at times but it worked. We didn’t have bed bugs and we didn’t have geckos running in our room like other reviews. We probably wouldn’t stay here again but it was a good location and we got to go out best dive Center - La Bombona so that was a plus. Nice beach views and pool"

Outstanding
GGuest UserA wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️
YYaelWe had an amazing time there. I really have nothing bad to say about it.
First of all- the stuff. Always welcoming you with a smile and treating you with a personal attention. for example we told them we’re going to the beach and they offered us to borrow snorkeling masks for free. Also I got hurt in my leg and they really helped me to bandage it. The most appreciated thing is that they heard our ferry back is at noon so they offered us late check out for free!
Beside that, the room is very clean, the view to the beach from the balcony is a big wow. the coffee at breakfast is just perfect.
Thank you so much guys ♥️♥️♥️ hope to come back someday.
PPattySangWe came here based on reviews and didn't expect it to be this nice! Everything was perfect. This single accommodation has absolutely everything.
Room: The room was very clean, and the bed was so soft and comfy I barely wanted to leave it – I slept so well!
Staff: Everyone provided excellent service, always smiling and cheerful. They treated us like family or friends, recommending things without us even having to ask.
Atmosphere: The surroundings are very peaceful. There's a private beach with plenty of activities: volleyball, table tennis, snorkeling, island hopping by small boat, jumping rock, and even scuba diving lessons. Kayaking is also available. They have so many services, all in one place!
We'll definitely be back to stay again next time.
#The accommodation is in Tanote Bay, towards the end of the island, but it's absolutely the best!
GGuest UserI want to leave a review about this hotel. The location is good; the only downside is the loud music in the evening and late into the night coming from the central beach.
The room has all the necessary toiletries, including earplugs and razors. The bungalow-style rooms are the best thing here, because overall there are significantly more negatives.
The service is not very good — the staff at the reception and in the restaurant seem indifferent. The beach is a bit dirty, with a lot of small stones that make it uncomfortable to walk. The sea is very shallow, and you have to walk quite far to get deep enough to swim. If you just want to lie around and relax like a hippo, it might suit you.
The food in the restaurant is of a low standard. The room costs almost $190 per night, but the variety of food is very limited, and the products don’t seem to be of good quality. Cheese at breakfast was even served in its packaging.
The only thing that really saves this hotel is the view from the room. We chose an ocean view. The hotel also offers free snorkeling masks.
EErdaogeThe hotel facilities are decent and relatively new, but the service is terrible. The front desk wouldn't even lend me nail clippers, I'm not sure if they're just chronically broke. They charge an extra 3% for card payments and play dumb when it comes to refunds, probably because they used to be food delivery drivers. They arbitrarily canceled my paid diving reservation and changed prices whenever they felt like it, completely lacking credibility. Don't even get me started on the diving; the divemaster is Thai, and you can imagine his English skills. The equipment is very old. I had to go barefoot with the fins, even though I brought shoes that I couldn't use, and ended up getting blisters. The wetsuit was short-sleeved and short-legged, resulting in many scratches, while the divemaster himself wore a full suit and shoes. There was no boat for diving; they subcontracted to Big Bubble dive shop, which is why the price was higher than elsewhere. Where was the boat? 'Under repair,' you know how that goes. Service: I'd give it 0 stars if I could, but there's no option.

My stay at Woodlawn Villas in Koh Tao was overall a good experience. I had booked three rooms through Trip.com, but unfortunately one of the rooms was cancelled by Trip.com, which was a bit disappointing at first. However, Trip.com handled the situation professionally and offered an attractive solution that included a refund for the cancelled room, which I appreciated.
Out of the remaining two rooms, we stayed in one villa and one double room. The rooms were comfortable and the property itself has a nice, peaceful atmosphere, which makes it a pleasant place to stay while visiting Koh Tao.
However, we experienced a few small issues on the first morning in the villa. There was no hot water in the shower, which was inconvenient. Also, the toaster in the villa was not in perfect working condition. These were minor problems but worth mentioning.
Overall, the stay was good and enjoyable despite the small issues. With a few improvements in maintenance, the experience could be even better.
OOlesushkaWe stayed in a triple room. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was included. While there wasn't a huge variety, you'd find something to eat (scrambled eggs, rice, meat, greens, fruit). The staff were friendly and ready to help if needed. The beach was nice. We went when the waves were high, so snorkeling wasn't really an option. There were small sharks swimming near the shore.
AAnonymous UserWe had a pleasant stay at Beach Club by Haadtien, but with mixed feelings.
The location is beautiful: a lovely bay in a peaceful setting. The room itself was fine and we appreciated the daily fresh towels (both for the bathroom and the beach/pool) as well as the complimentary bottled water. The food in the restaurant is also good, although we found it relatively expensive by Thai standards.
At the same time there are several aspects that, especially given the price of the hotel, should be better. The sound insulation is very poor: you can literally understand what your neighbours are saying, and music as well as footsteps from the rooms above or adjacent are clearly audible. This makes getting a good night’s sleep more a matter of luck than comfort.
In addition, the sliding door to the balcony did not close properly, which affects both comfort and the efficiency of the air conditioning which I thought was a pity, especially on an island where energy use should be taken seriously.
Housekeeping and general maintenance could also be improved. In this price range, you would not expect to find squashed mosquitoes on the walls. The property and the room show signs of wear and tear in several places, such as broken tiles and damage to the floor. There was also quite a bit of plastic on the beach, although we realise this may not be entirely within the hotel’s control.
The shuttle service to the village is a nice addition, but having to reserve it a day in advance makes it less flexible than you would hope.
Overall conclusion:
A beautifully located hotel with a good foundation, but it falls short in several important areas given the price. For us, this would be a reason to consider other options next time. Overall, we did not feel it was worth the money.
Rrocky130713Excellent hotel location, friendly staff. However, the hotel itself is very run down and clearly needs an update and renovation. I have mixed feelings; on one hand, it has everything you need, but on the other hand, everything is worn out. The room is cleaned, but it still feels untidy. The views are gorgeous, but dirty rooftops of neighboring houses and crumbling gutters ruin the experience. Even the bed linens and towels are torn and stained with unremovable marks. They didn't bring an ashtray for 7 days, even though they saw an improvised ashtray made from a disposable cup on the table, while other rooms had them. And it's like that with everything; there's no point in describing every little detail.
To sum it up, I'd say for the price, it's okay. We weren't expecting anything luxurious; we just needed a place to sleep, as we spent very little time at the hotel. Will we come back here again? Absolutely not. For the same price, you can find much better accommodation on the island.
MMathilde_rltA dream hotel right on Koh Tao beach, with a beautiful pool! The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so during our stay, some rooms were under construction (but there was no noise), and the gym wasn't usable. I still recommend this hotel; they also offer a laundry service.
Some top places to stay in Koh Tao are near popular attractions like Ko Tao, Shark Bay and Sai Nuan Beach—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
