"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — Peaceful Romantic Getaway with Stunning Views
We stayed at Taatoh Seaview Resort, bungalow S8, for two nights as a couple — and it was absolutely beautiful. The view from our bungalow was breathtaking — right over the turquoise water, with sunrise lighting up the bay. The sound of the waves and the peaceful atmosphere made it feel like our own private hideaway.
The bungalow itself was simple but comfortable, with everything we needed: a cozy bed, fan/aircon, fridge, and a private balcony perfect for morning coffee or watching the stars at night. The outdoor area had that perfect balance of privacy and openness, surrounded by lush greenery and ocean breeze.
The staff were kind and helpful, always smiling and quick to assist with transport or recommendations. The location is great — quiet and away from the crowds, but still close enough to Freedom Beach and the viewpoint trails.
If you’re a couple looking for a quiet, romantic spot to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the natural beauty of Koh Tao, bungalow S8 at Taatoh Seaview Resort is perfect. We left wishing we’d stayed longer."
"We stayed in a triple room. It had everything we needed. Breakfast was included. While there wasn't a huge variety, you'd find something to eat (scrambled eggs, rice, meat, greens, fruit). The staff were friendly and ready to help if needed. The beach was nice. We went when the waves were high, so snorkeling wasn't really an option. There were small sharks swimming near the shore."
"It was pretty good for the price. It has a forest-like environment. I liked going up the steps to the room, or hanging out on the hammock. It was very relaxing and the fan room was enough. Water was not hot and I realized later that you should not take a hot shower after scuba diving so it was good that way"
"British solo backpacker, 30 years old.
Very clean hostel/hotel.
Breakfast between 6:30-10am included in stay.
Very quiet hostel no music no party hostel, however just a minor noise from neighbours, they have roosters and chickens which start from 6am till 11am
Has been a problem with my stay due to me having an ear infection from scuba diving and being on antibiotics. But have had spoken to trip.com and have supported my stay and been very helpful. It’s a 20 minute walk to knock out gym and 25 minutes to the PEIR.. 45 minutes to the main strip. It is walkable.
But scooters are 200baht a day. There is a laundromat next door to hotel and two 7- elevens close by. Few good restaurants.
Plus the hostel does a scuba diving course with padi the team and instructors are amazing.
They also have so much happening in the day.
They have beach clean up in the morning.
They have drop off and pick up services to the beach from 1:30-4 and then sunset drop off and pick up from 5:30-7pm every day. You go to a new place every day. It is really cool they also have other activities.
Overall I had a great time meeting people here, but it is very far away. It is clean not a party hostel but just the neighbours roosters and chickens and bonfire are a problem."
"Pros :
- Good hotel : start to be old but totally fine.
- Staff was very kind (especially for breakfast ! Always smiling).
- For those that think the hill is the problem, just take the scooter next to the room, restaurant and swimming pool is a good idea if you don't want to climb.
- Amazing view
- I got free late check out after my morning boat was cancelled. Very kind from them.
Cons :
- No tv in rooms,
- They don't really remove leaves from the swimming pool,
- You can try to call them... No one pick up the phone (I called literally 30 times at the pier to get a shuttle for 100thb/pers) Cause the fake ”taxi” was 500thb for 2kms. The reason : the front desk (where the phone is) is closed so the reception is at the restaurant (but no phone there). They could transfer calls to a mobile phone... But no.
- It was written that there was a free shuttle going to the pier at 4pm... I was expecting to see it arriving at 4:20-30pm.. nothing came."
"The accommodation was clean, a bit old, but overall still looked good. There were so many activities, you should definitely stay for at least 3-4 nights. The location was excellent, with beautiful views of both sides. You could snorkel right from the resort beach. They offered free yoga, HIIT, ice baths, and Muay Thai (group classes). The hotel restaurant prices weren't expensive, comparable to Sairee Beach, so you didn't even need to go into town. The staff provided excellent service, I was very impressed!"
"An ideal hotel in an ideal location: 5 beaches around, fish, corals, viewpoint, beautiful paths along the rocks, sunsets, several restaurants - no need to go anywhere, just enjoy!!! Spacious rooms, a large balcony - you don't want to leave...)))"
"The rooms have a rustic design but are full of thoughtful details, reflecting an eco-friendly and holiday-oriented concept. The hotel assigned us a very private room with a balcony overlooking the entire bay, and we even had occasional visits from small animals.
While there isn't a private beach, there's a small pier within walking distance where you can swim and snorkel, and the water here is much clearer than the sandy areas next door.
The hotel restaurant was a pleasant surprise; both the Thai and Western dishes were excellent, so there's no need to go out for meals.
A exquisite and private hotel, highly recommended!"

My stay at Woodlawn Villas in Koh Tao was overall a good experience. I had booked three rooms through Trip.com, but unfortunately one of the rooms was cancelled by Trip.com, which was a bit disappointing at first. However, Trip.com handled the situation professionally and offered an attractive solution that included a refund for the cancelled room, which I appreciated.
Out of the remaining two rooms, we stayed in one villa and one double room. The rooms were comfortable and the property itself has a nice, peaceful atmosphere, which makes it a pleasant place to stay while visiting Koh Tao.
However, we experienced a few small issues on the first morning in the villa. There was no hot water in the shower, which was inconvenient. Also, the toaster in the villa was not in perfect working condition. These were minor problems but worth mentioning.
Overall, the stay was good and enjoyable despite the small issues. With a few improvements in maintenance, the experience could be even better."
"I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was great very modern and clean but the room was very far from the main road and nightlife and restaurants - they did warn on the booking that this room is the furthest away from the beach and they didn't lie. Luckily they have golf carts that can take you to the main road and back 24h but is a bit inconvenient. The pool near my room was very luxurious. I would definitely recommend this room if you're just looking for a place to lay your head while you're taking your time in the day to go snorkeling and diving."

GGuest UserA wonderful place for recreation 🫶 lived 2 families from 25 to 30 December in the smallest villa, all this time with us were wonderful Steve and Muhammad. Steve took us all over the island wherever we wanted and took us from anywhere, thank you Steve 🙏Muhammed also took care that our rest was careless, helped to organize the washing, Organized us a tour to the sea 🙏ville clean every day, there is everything necessary for cooking food (we did not prepare TK on the sairi a lot of delicious cafes). I definitely recommend this place for rest, very atmospheric and comfortable, in the surrounding jungle ❤️
IIANA KWe stayed for 3 nights, which felt like more than enough time before heading to Koh Tao. We had plenty of time to visit the viewpoint and take photos everywhere without the crowds of day-trippers. It truly felt like we were on a deserted island! The room had everything we needed: toiletries, hot water, a fridge, a kettle, tea, and coffee. Housekeeping was daily. Breakfast was included, even though it wasn't mentioned in the booking. For breakfast, they bring you a sheet where you mark what you'd like them to prepare (the menu is consistent, but you can choose how your eggs are cooked and your coffee – the coffee seemed to be instant). There are two restaurants on the island: one on the hotel premises where breakfast is served, offering European cuisine. The other is further down, near the 'spit,' and serves Thai food with more reasonable prices; day-trippers often ate there. Prices are higher than on Koh Tao for obvious reasons, as there are no shops. However, there's a free daily shuttle to Koh Tao and back, which is convenient for longer stays. For example, a 0.33L beer on the island costs 120 baht, a mango shake is 150 baht, and dishes start from 300+ baht.
GGuest UserI want to leave a review about this hotel. The location is good; the only downside is the loud music in the evening and late into the night coming from the central beach.
The room has all the necessary toiletries, including earplugs and razors. The bungalow-style rooms are the best thing here, because overall there are significantly more negatives.
The service is not very good — the staff at the reception and in the restaurant seem indifferent. The beach is a bit dirty, with a lot of small stones that make it uncomfortable to walk. The sea is very shallow, and you have to walk quite far to get deep enough to swim. If you just want to lie around and relax like a hippo, it might suit you.
The food in the restaurant is of a low standard. The room costs almost $190 per night, but the variety of food is very limited, and the products don’t seem to be of good quality. Cheese at breakfast was even served in its packaging.
The only thing that really saves this hotel is the view from the room. We chose an ocean view. The hotel also offers free snorkeling masks.
PPattySangWe came here based on reviews and didn't expect it to be this nice! Everything was perfect. This single accommodation has absolutely everything.
Room: The room was very clean, and the bed was so soft and comfy I barely wanted to leave it – I slept so well!
Staff: Everyone provided excellent service, always smiling and cheerful. They treated us like family or friends, recommending things without us even having to ask.
Atmosphere: The surroundings are very peaceful. There's a private beach with plenty of activities: volleyball, table tennis, snorkeling, island hopping by small boat, jumping rock, and even scuba diving lessons. Kayaking is also available. They have so many services, all in one place!
We'll definitely be back to stay again next time.
#The accommodation is in Tanote Bay, towards the end of the island, but it's absolutely the best!
YYaelWe had an amazing time there. I really have nothing bad to say about it.
First of all- the stuff. Always welcoming you with a smile and treating you with a personal attention. for example we told them we’re going to the beach and they offered us to borrow snorkeling masks for free. Also I got hurt in my leg and they really helped me to bandage it. The most appreciated thing is that they heard our ferry back is at noon so they offered us late check out for free!
Beside that, the room is very clean, the view to the beach from the balcony is a big wow. the coffee at breakfast is just perfect.
Thank you so much guys ♥️♥️♥️ hope to come back someday.
JJamieD03Stayed in a hillside suite, lovely room and fantastic views. Staff were very friendly always helping with bags and there was a buggy to take up to our room. I rented a bike so got to hotel easy if not it is a little walk to the main area. There is a free shuttle to Sairee beach which is great and also a free shuttle to pier to get a ferry when leaving.
The only negative is the pool was quite small and for the price and also would like a gym on site but of course booked knowing there wasn’t a gym so can’t be negative on that!
Overall a great stay and would recommend.
Thanks
GGuest UserGreat location, modern and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast and lovely bar for evening happy hour/dinner with fire shows as well and romantic vibes
AAnonymous UserWe had a pleasant stay at Beach Club by Haadtien, but with mixed feelings.
The location is beautiful: a lovely bay in a peaceful setting. The room itself was fine and we appreciated the daily fresh towels (both for the bathroom and the beach/pool) as well as the complimentary bottled water. The food in the restaurant is also good, although we found it relatively expensive by Thai standards.
At the same time there are several aspects that, especially given the price of the hotel, should be better. The sound insulation is very poor: you can literally understand what your neighbours are saying, and music as well as footsteps from the rooms above or adjacent are clearly audible. This makes getting a good night’s sleep more a matter of luck than comfort.
In addition, the sliding door to the balcony did not close properly, which affects both comfort and the efficiency of the air conditioning which I thought was a pity, especially on an island where energy use should be taken seriously.
Housekeeping and general maintenance could also be improved. In this price range, you would not expect to find squashed mosquitoes on the walls. The property and the room show signs of wear and tear in several places, such as broken tiles and damage to the floor. There was also quite a bit of plastic on the beach, although we realise this may not be entirely within the hotel’s control.
The shuttle service to the village is a nice addition, but having to reserve it a day in advance makes it less flexible than you would hope.
Overall conclusion:
A beautifully located hotel with a good foundation, but it falls short in several important areas given the price. For us, this would be a reason to consider other options next time. Overall, we did not feel it was worth the money.
GGuest UserWhen we arrived they couldn’t find us in the system, they said their system had a problem, the room we had was booked already and the only solution was to downgrade us for a night. We saw there was still some bungalows available but they only wanted to put us in a standard room. No compensation offered! NOTHING, no breakfast no money NOTHING. Even when we asked for it the only solution they gave us was “we can cancel for you and you will be reimbursed” and then what I sleep on the street?? I had to contact trip.com and then we got a “compensation” of 200 baht LOL.
Beside for the service the bungalows we had after was nice. Don’t book the standards rooms they smell.
OOrlaNdoSExcellent hotel, especially the location. It has direct access to both the pier and the lively street. The pool is great, and you can swim late into the evening. The room is cozy and has all the essentials.
Some top places to stay in Koh Tao are near popular attractions like Ko Tao, Shark Bay and Sai Nuan Beach—so you can quickly get to top landmarks and amenities you need.
