"The room is very clean and close to Tongpei Wharf, just an 8-minute walk away, with delicious food available along the way. A big thank you to the front desk guy. I left my diving gear in the room, and he rode a motorcycle all the way to find me and return it. Many thanks to him—I'll stay here again next time."
"The hotel is spotless and quite new. The room is very spacious, and the bathroom is well-designed with good water pressure. The air conditioning is refreshingly cold. The swimming pool is nice, and they provide towels for the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is also great, clean, and safe for swimming with good waves. There's ample parking; if the lot is full, you can park along the road in front of the beach, which feels safe as there isn't much traffic. Mae Ramphueng Beach is quiet. There aren't many seafood restaurants directly in front of the hotel, but that's not an issue as there are three 7-Elevens on this road. The hotel breakfast is decent, and they have a fresh coffee machine, which is convenient. Overall, I'm very impressed with the hotel's condition and the beach area in front of it. If I go to Rayong again and want a good swimming spot, I'd definitely consider staying here again. The room condition was exactly as pictured by the hotel."
"Very close(few minutes by walk) to Rayong Pier to pick up the boat to go on the island of Koh Samet , hotel very clean and very happy and satisfied for what we need."
"I really enjoyed the hotel because it had nobody overlooking me. It was quiet. I never put the TV on the shower worked fine every time the bed was comfortable and the swimming pool was clean. Don’t like the cold eggs in the morning. That’s the only criticism that I have"
"Phe-Por-Phiang” was established as a family business in 2015 with an area of over 13 rai suitable for private residences. Give a friendly feeling Convenient for the whole family and group gatherings at an affordable price with a large, beautiful pond reflecting the sunlight standing majestically in the center. Surrounded by lush green grass and three low-rise, light orange Californian-style buildings, “Phe Por Piang” is filled with tranquility. Warm and private for our guests to relax in. Get in touch with nature and spend time with family and friends happily. And can organize various private parties as you choose."
"Excellent price and quality ratio. A small cozy hotel is practically on the beach, our room was mainly a building with balcony and sea view. Breakfast is average but there is an opportunity to buy something extra for breakfast. Room cleaning is daily. Sunset is simple, the only shower is filling the whole floor in the toilet. The beach across the road is very beautiful and practically uncrowded. Nearby there is a shop 7/11. Hotel recommends"
"In the evening, I went to Samet Island the next day in Rayong. The check-in was very late but the sister at the front desk was still waiting for us. There was a misunderstanding about the deduction with Ctrip when checking in, but my sister had been very active in communicating with them. The breakfast time is set every day, and the time to go to the terminal is also calculated for us. The breakfast was very good and not expensive, and we were sent to the pier twice (up to three at a time), the people were so smiling, and I will stay again next time"
"The room was a separate house, and I was able to drink beer and relax while listening to music outside until midnight.
I think it is a clean and nice inn in the room.
When I checked in at 15 o'clock, I was told that the bath towel was not dry yet."
"Oh Taley Resort is a really great place to stay if you’re looking for calm, quiet, and relaxation. The atmosphere is peaceful, and it’s perfect for escaping noise and stress. The location is very nice, close to the sea, and the overall environment is clean and well maintained.
The swimming pool is excellent, and the service around the resort is friendly and professional. Everything is well organized, and you can truly enjoy your time here.
The only small thing that could make the experience even better would be adding a coffee machine for guests. Even a simple option selling coffee for 40–50 baht would be very convenient, especially since 7-Eleven is a bit far. This would be a great added value for guests.
Overall, everything is great: location, pool, service, and peaceful vibe. I highly recommend Oh Taley Resort and would happily stay here again."

Amazing
SsallyyyjThis is my second time staying here. I got upgraded to a corner room at a great price. The location is excellent, right next to Central. The room is spacious, and the large window makes it feel very open. The air conditioning is perfectly cold. There's a toothbrush in the room, but you have to ask for a comb at the front desk. The parking in front of the hotel is a bit limited.
HhazelnutxxThe resort is beautiful and the location is excellent. The rooms are clean, and room service is convenient. The natural environment is lovely; we often saw squirrels running around.
However, the room facilities are quite basic. The bathroom didn't have hot water, and the bedside lamp and door lock were broken.
The staff were generally friendly, but not particularly enthusiastic. We rarely experienced proactive or smiling service. On the way to our room, no golf cart offered to help with our luggage. When we asked to use a sun lounger at the private beach, the attendant surprisingly said, 'I don't know,' and we never saw any guests using the sun loungers there. We ate twice at Winkks, and the staff at the entrance never greeted us or proactively showed us to a table. When they found out we didn't have a reservation, they immediately said there was no availability, even though there were clearly two unoccupied tables indoors that hadn't been reserved. They only seated us after we explicitly said we could eat inside. The front desk staff on check-out day were quite good, but the overall service compared to other places in Thailand was pretty average.
Overall, it's an unremarkable resort. If I return to Koh Samet, I would consider other hotels in the same price range.
VVladimir_VladimirovichExcellent location! The beach is fantastic! The breakfast was good with a sea view! We stayed in a standard bungalow, which was a bit dirty and old. The soundproofing was poor – we could hear coconuts falling on the roof all night and birds chirping. The grounds were a bit dismal. In the evening, we encountered two small snakes, and our child almost stepped on one, so definitely bring a flashlight and watch your step! I heard that the suites and family villas are nicer and look newer. Overall, it's budget-friendly and livable! There's also a fire show in the evening.
TTaMaReThis is a good basic stay fir the money paid, I think around £25 per night? I feel kind of lucky I had bungalow 36 which was right opposite the reception but having said that I didn’t have any privacy because the double glazed patio doors only had curtains which when open everyone could see in meaning when I was there I had to have the curtains closed and the lights on. Which was a shame as a simple set of sheet curtains would have solved this issue. Having said that the noise was limited I expected it to be noisy but Toks bars did keep the music low and I think it went off quite early too. I had a terrace eith bench exterior lighting and table, bin and broom to sweep up sand and a thick bathroom mat towel to dust sand off feet when entering the bungalow. Inside the bungalow was a fridge a safe wardrobe kettle urn two mugs two glasses, 2 dental kits, shampoo conditioner shower gel, 2 x towels, 1 small roll of toilet roll, 1 x bar of soap. You get towels, wash kit loo roll left on your terrace each night of your stay except the night before you leave. I think if you want your room done over you ask reception. The room was clean though the bathroom appeared clean but could do with a deep clean as sink overflow was black and the air con piping was dusty as was the extraction fan. You also got a bath mat in the bathroom and a bin. The loo had a bidet facet. There was a slight sewage smell in the morning on my second day but it’s an island and sure their sewage collection piping is probably quite fragile. I walked to the hotel when I arrived and I think you walk past the sewage works/garbage tip it smells horrendous 🤣. Overall I would stay here again as it’s a good location not sure if I would want to be in a bungalow at the top of the hill though. the beach is across the road, taxi open vans pick up from outside, there’s a cafe, snack places, restaurant bar across the road Toks on the beach and in front of that is a set of beach loungers run by Ed she charges 100 baht. The beach is beautiful a little litter here and there and around the island as a whole but I think you’d find that a lot of places these days, it’s very sad.
NNipoditangxianzuStayed for 2 nights and 3 days. You can snorkel directly in front of the hotel, and there are more fish near the coral reefs, but I wouldn't recommend going there if the waves are big. It's best to wear long pants and diving socks to avoid scratches. The sand right outside is very fine and soft. Breakfast is served by the sea with ocean views. The bar street can get a bit noisy at night, so it might not be suitable for light sleepers, but since we usually go to bed late, it didn't bother us. A major plus is that the bedsheets are changed for every new guest. The room has many windows, making it bright and airy. The only downsides are that the shower only has a handheld showerhead and the water pressure is a bit low. For shopping, try to go to the 7-Eleven on the main street, as the supermarket here is about a third more expensive. Overall, it offers great value for money and is perfect for a relaxing holiday.
GGuest UserVery nice quiet hotel on a nice location GPS wise. Clean and big rooms. Staff helpful and friendly. But be aware it’s a steep climb to the rooms. So getting a quick drink at the beach bar is like a free work-out. The bar and restaurant at the beach are great to be.
GGuest UserI had an amazing stay at Kira Baya on Koh Samet and would definitely recommend it overall. Ace and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The rooms were exceptionally clean, very well maintained, and we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Both breakfast and dinner were enjoyable, with good variety and quality. We also really appreciated having access to the kayak, which added a fun touch to the experience.
One thing to note, as others have mentioned, is that the beach in front of the property is quite stoney and could benefit from some cleaning. Additionally, the hotel is located at the far end of the island, so getting around requires some planning. There is a shuttle service available, but it is not included in the stay and not directly provided by the hotel, which is something other hotels tend to handle better.
That said, I was able to rent a scooter for 100 THB per hour, which gave me a great opportunity to explore the island independently.
Overall, despite a few minor inconveniences, this was a fantastic stay with excellent service, and I would happily return
GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay! As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and at ease throughout my visit. The environment was quiet and peaceful, which made it easy to relax. The room was comfortable and well-kept, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The firework show was such a lovely bonus and made the experience even more special. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend it.
EevepmmSo good that I have to go back again. Quiet, very beautiful room, lovely maid, private garden to sit and relax in the morning, two large and small showers are very good, big TV, very good wifi, 7-Eleven, food, dry cleaning are just a short walk away to Sai Kaew Beach. Next time I will stay at only this place.
GGuest UserThe location is convenient, just a few meters from the sea, and close to the lively areas too. The hotel itself is in a relatively quiet spot, and I say 'relatively quiet' because it's surrounded by lush vegetation. Many birds start their dawn chorus early in the morning, which is actually lovely – waking up to the sounds of different birds is quite nice. The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms aren't large, but they do clean upon request. The rooms have everything you need for a short stay. We really enjoyed it, though our noisy neighbors who were playing loud music and singing spoiled it a little. However, the hotel staff quickly quieted them down by asking them to keep it down.
