Hotels near Klong Chak Beach, Koh Lanta

"Beautiful resort outside of town - the pool and almost private beach was amazing! The room was very spacious and had really nice amenities (good aircon, TV with online streaming, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion). The housekeeping would come daily if you wished and replenish the water, coffee, towels and sheets - if you didn’t want them to come in, they would still deliver water and toilet paper for you. The staff were always very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. The breakfast was good, as it wasn’t busy season you could pick from a variety of western or Thai dishes from a special menu. The gym was well equipped and they had a free pool table, along with an onsite massage and restaurant (we didn’t eat at the restaurant, we opted to walk around the corner to the local restaurants, which had nice Thai and some western food). Things to keep in mind ~ the resort is very far away from the main areas (no nearby 7-Eleven or connivence store). They don’t have Grab on the island, so you will need to hire a scooter if you come without transport should you wish to go anywhere. The resort has onsite scooter hire for 1 hour, 12 hours and 24 hours. They also picked us up from town when we arrived which was amazing, but to get back into town for departure was 500 baht. Due to it being monsoon season, they weren’t offering the kayaks to be taken out. They did let you borrow a snorkel and mask if you wanted to go snorkelling. Overall it was absolutely lovely and made for a really relaxing stay ✨"

"Really enjoyed this resort. One thing you need to know, for the standard rooms you need to go up by car every time when you want to go back to your room. Not a big issue as they are very fast, really was amazed, in 3-4 days never had to wait longer then 1-2min to go to my room up the hill. Family loved the greenery, actually pretty OK snorkling in front of the hotel as well if you have trained eyes, lots to see!"

"We had a wonderful time at the Alama Resort. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We loved the pool area the most; we spent several hours there every day, always found a spot, and the water was very clean. The food and drinks were also delicious. Our room was cleaned daily, the air conditioning worked well, and our balcony was very cozy, surrounded by greenery. The location was great, with the beach just a few minutes' walk away, where we watched the sunset every evening. We would always recommend it and would love to come back!"

"Charming place right on a beautiful clean beach that is not crowded and swimmable. The staff are lovely (thanks, Sue!) food surprisingly good (fish BBQ!) and you can get scooters right at the place. We actually checked in to the more luxury option on this beach and then moved here instead because it felt way more friendly. Don’t come here if you want to party, it’s at the far south of all the beaches and over some huge hills to the next gathering of shops (although there is laundry and a few restaurants and a basic shop nearby). And don’t expect satin sheets or huge rooms, it is what it is and that’s a bit rustic. But for what it is, and the price, you can’t do better."

"Much has been said about the hotel’s aesthetics so I’d like the comment on the service recovery of the F&B team. Despite having an incident with my first meal, the team followed up not just with an earnest remedy but graciously checked in with me during the remainder of my stay. Particularly, P’Mai was very friendly and sincere in her demeanour, and I appreciated the gift she had prepared for me on my last day. Overall, it was a sincere and all-rounded service recovery effort delivered by staff who genuinely care about their guests. The only reason I docked a star is for the resort’s relative lack of accessibility to dining and entertainment options outside its grounds, with the closest village being a 10-15 min walk. More day/group trip options to other interesting Koh Lanta landmarks might also help to expand its offering (though it should be acknowledged that some guests might be happy to enjoy amenities/activities within the hotel). All in all, this was a wonderful property to stay in and I’d gladly return/recommend it to others visiting Koh Lanta."

"Sri Lanta is a haven to escape the crowds, while having enough services around to keep you occupied in this corner of the beach. The rooms are classy and clean, save for a dirty kettle, with daily room service. There's direct access to the beach via a convenient tunnel, which opens up to their pool, restaurant, bar and beach chairs. The bar owner is very friendly and his prices are reasonable to keep you happy for your stay. Shout out to Lisa, the concierge that made our stay a bit more personal and lovely each day"

"Overall it is good, but the location is a bit biased. Although there are places to eat and do massage, it is generally more expensive than Krabi or Ao Nang, but it is very quiet. There are so many monkeys, of course, you won't hurt if you don't mess with them. There is no Chinese service, the restaurant tastes reasonable, and of course I want to eat well. The pad-thid fried noodle in the left hand is delicious, and I do n’t trust the public comment when I go to Krabi. The army brushed up, and the massage was almost the same. Pick a better environment. Generally, the Thai-style Ao Nang is around 250, and Lanta is more expensive. After all, the entire area is far from the commercial area."

"I have stayed in 3 hotels on the island. This is my favorite one. The bathroom and toilet are too cute. It is 711 when I walk out. The location is very good. The price is particularly high. I will definitely recommend friends to come here. Unfortunately, I can't row to the hotel for free kayaking in the rainy season. I hope I can feel the weather next time."

"The hotel is located about 14 km from the northern pier in the south on the west coast of Lanta. A very nice complex with very friendly staff. We received a warm welcome. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily, and towels are changed. There are also beach towels available. Water is refilled daily. The air conditioning is draft-free, and nothing else is missing in the room. There are loungers by the pool and on the beach. Breakfast is very plentiful and offers a great view. There's something for everyone. If you wish, an omelet or something similar with eggs can be freshly prepared for you. There are also beautiful bungalows with pools and sea views. Scooter rentals, island tours - everything can be arranged at normal prices. Alex is friendly and helpful. If you want to go to a 7-Eleven, you have to walk about 20 minutes. There are restaurants a few minutes away if you don't want to eat at the hotel. On our departure day, we had to leave at 7 a.m., and they prepared a huge breakfast package for us (4 boxes for 2 people) and labeled it very nicely. We would come back anytime."

"I had an amazing stay at the brand-new Phumala Lanta Seaview Resort! The bungalows are unique, built on stilts amidst lush greenery, with a magical view over the treetops and the coast. Staying here feels like being in a small fairytale, with comfortable beds, modern air conditioning, and a lovely terrace featuring both a bathtub and sun loungers. Between the bungalows, charming lighting in the trees creates a special and cozy atmosphere in the evenings. If any challenges arise, the staff and owner are incredibly attentive and resolve everything quickly and efficiently. The service is truly top-notch! The resort is just a 5-7 minute walk from a beautiful and peaceful beach, and shops and restaurants are also nearby. Across the road, Pad Thai Rock n Roll serves absolutely amazing food, and their staff is incredibly friendly – a must-visit during your stay. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it from four to nine nights. Note that the hotel shares its reception with Bakantiang Resort, so make sure to mention this to your taxi driver to find the correct location. Highly recommended!"
