"The location is absolutely fantastic, making it the top choice for both night tours and daytime visits to the Chinese Academy of Sciences. However, the facilities are undeniably outdated; it's an old-fashioned hotel, and the breakfast is just average. Even for an old hotel, it barely scrapes by as a 3-star. The lack of charging stations is a major inconvenience, as you have to drive more than ten minutes from the east gate to the west gate to charge. But, if you're planning night tours and daytime sightseeing, I genuinely recommend it because you can directly access everything from the hotel lobby, which means more sleep! Despite the hotel being old, the service is prompt and the staff are quite nice."

"The owners are incredibly friendly. The owner is a professional bird photographer, and the clientele here is quite specific, mostly focused on bird photography or painting. Every evening, he'd sit at the guesthouse entrance, sharing the day's photographic captures with guests. And the moment he'd hear a bird call, he'd grab a flashlight and enthusiastically lead us out to find nocturnal owls! 😇😇😇 The location is superb! It felt like we were practically staying *in* the botanical garden; incredibly convenient, like having it as our own backyard! Excellent value for money, I highly recommend this place! 🤓"

"I stayed for two more days. The service at the front desk was very good and welcoming. The room was very nice. It was clean and well-lit. It was very hygienic: the environment was clean and warm. The location was very good. There are shops and restaurants nearby downstairs. The hotel is not far from the botanical garden and is very convenient. This hotel Very, very good, highly recommended! Everyone, go and stay!"

"I booked a river-view room for two nights. The room wasn't large, but it was compact and adequate, not too cramped, and the facilities were sufficient. The hotel's design reflects a resort concept. I've been here several times before, and this time the room had been renovated. The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet. The bedding was comfortable, and it was incredibly quiet, although the bed was a bit small. At night, I could hear frogs croaking and roosters crowing in the distance. There was a reading lamp by the bed. The river-view room had a small terrace with a pleasant view of the Nanla River. I mainly came here for the surrounding environment. There's a good Dai-style restaurant called Mikanhong in Manlongle Village nearby, which I always eat at, but it's the only one I visit. It's not very commercialized, so it's suitable for people who prefer peace and quiet. There are several villages within about ten kilometers that you can drive to explore. On weekends, you can go to local markets and eat delicious food. Showering was inconvenient; the water wasn't very hot during the day, so I could only shower at night, but it was fine by the next morning. The breakfast was average, but filling. The trash cans were small, not big enough for a resort hotel. Overall, it's a budget hotel."

"Lovely hotel between the border police and the railway station. We stayed just one night. The people working at the hotel are highly dedicated and service minded. If you do not speak Chinese you should install a translator app so you can communicate with the reception. They arranged a transfer for us for the railway station. Comfortable rooms and large bathroom. Better than European standards."

"The stay experience was very satisfactory. I originally booked a room. I wanted to see how the environment was first. I decisively booked a hotel and provided pick-up service. Not only that, the hotel hygiene is even more meticulous. I hope that all hotel hygiene can live in accordance with this standard. I am more assured that the decoration style is also unique. The walls of the room are all soft packages with real leather. All software facilities are better than hotels of the same level. The room is also equipped with a self-service washing machine, which can liberate your hands, you can feel the feeling of home without washing clothes. Toiletries are all big names, and you can use peace of mind. The whole house has a small voice control school, and you can control the room. All the facilities are even more fun for children. You can also watch football games for free at this hotel, super live, highly recommend this hotel"

"My child and I took a private car from Jinghong city to Wild Elephant Valley on the 28th, then checked into Anantara. Anantara, in my mind, is the pinnacle of domestic resorts, synonymous with 'wild luxury,' beautiful surroundings, and excellent service. The latter two, Anantara certainly delivered on. The lobby is grand, and when we first entered the room, it didn't feel dated at all. Lush greenery filled the view from the window – a plant lover's dream! Outside the balcony was a large garden. On the first day, I spent the entire afternoon intently watching trees and birds, spotting red-whiskered bulbuls, oriental magpie-robins, sooty-headed bulbuls, blue-throated barbets, and sunbirds. I saw various fruit-bearing trees, including coconuts and legumes. Even the large bathtub in the bathroom had a view of extensive greenery. We attended the evening ritual and released water lanterns. The lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and even showed us photos she took of a large gecko. The restaurant staff and kids' club team remembered us staying for several days. They gave us small gifts and fulfilled our request for pineapple fried rice. The complimentary travel photoshoot was excellent, capturing some truly memorable 'life photos.' Every staff member we encountered greeted us warmly. The two resident musicians from Malaysia, who performed in the lobby bar in the afternoon and by the restaurant entrance in the evening, were absolutely superb and a definite highlight of our trip. There were some drawbacks, however. The housekeeping staff throughout the resort was noticeably insufficient. We returned to our room at 1:30 PM, and it still hadn't been cleaned. This was the only time we didn't call for housekeeping, and thinking about it, it's probably a good thing we didn't, as the service speed likely wouldn't have kept up. Perhaps it was due to the off-season before the May Day holiday, but there seemed to be fewer staff in the hotel's public areas. The children's activities were almost identical every day and mostly concentrated in the mornings, which was a shame as we spent every morning at the botanical garden. Lastly, the price. It's an hour from Jinghong city, in an area where local guesthouses cost around 100 RMB per person. Yet, the hotel's calendar rate was as high as 2000 RMB. Locals definitely wouldn't go; it only attracts those who come for its reputation. The restaurant food was good, with generous portions, but the prices felt like they were converted from US dollars. We ate four meals at Anantara and spent 1000 RMB. Well, no more talk, I'm off to earn more money!"

"Very very very satisfied! The family came to Mengla during the Spring Festival and booked a big bed room and two double rooms. They were not on the same floor, but the boss was super good. For the convenience of our family, he helped us change the room and arranged it on the same floor. When I stayed in a hotel, I was most concerned about the bathroom and shower. When I entered the room, I couldn't see the dirt in the tiles. I could see that the cleaning was very careful, so that we lived in peace of mind. From Mengla to Jinghong, the comparison is bigger, Yunman's price is too high, mainly clean! ! Service attitude is also very good. Poor words, I don't know how to praise."
