Mountain view Hotels in Nanjing

"Traveling from Shenzhen to Nanjing, I wanted to stay near the Nanjing Museum (NPM). After browsing several hotels and guesthouses in the area, I stumbled upon Zhongshan Hotel and booked it for four nights, Monday to Friday. It turned out to be a delightful surprise. Its location is excellent, close to a subway station, making it easy to reach all of Nanjing's attractions. The Ming Palace historical site is right next to the hotel, and further on is the Nanjing Museum, both accessible by walking or cycling. The scenic Zhongshan Mountain area, including the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, are also directly reachable by subway. The hotel has a rich history, with historical relics on-site for guests to explore. While it's an old-brand star hotel, it has recently undergone renovations. The rooms are quite spacious, much larger than those at similarly priced hotels like Atour, and the facilities are relatively new and well-maintained. The availability of self-service laundry was a major plus during my stay. With hundreds of parking spaces, it's also very suitable for those traveling by car. My only suggestion would be to vacuum the carpets daily; otherwise, it was impeccable and highly recommended. As for the Liufang Teahouse, you can dine there. A 70 RMB set meal of buns and noodles for two was more than we could finish. I'd suggest swapping one of the items for a vegetable dish next time."

"Nanjing Grand Metropark Hotel: Overall, I was extremely satisfied! 👍 The quality of this established five-star hotel is truly exceptional. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, and it's surrounded by many attractions. With convenient subway access, visiting various scenic spots was a breeze. The pool was clean and safe. Breakfast offered a diverse selection, was clean, and delicious. Every detail was meticulously taken care of, making our family's stay comfortable and pleasant. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Nanjing!"

"My butler was Cora, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the service. She was very attentive and responsive, and no matter how late it was, she would always reply promptly whenever I needed assistance. The view from the room was absolutely beautiful — truly stunning. However, I was slightly disappointed that the room assigned to me was on a relatively low floor, at Level 51. It was still within an acceptable range, but I had originally expected a higher floor. Unfortunately, a higher-floor room was not available. I was also asked by the front desk to wait for more than an hour before a room became available, which was a little disappointing, especially considering that the room rate was not inexpensive. Regarding cleanliness, I have no complaints. The room was very clean and well-maintained. As for the service, there was a small issue on the first day. The complimentary fruit platter was not delivered. After I went out for a while and returned to the room, it still had not arrived, so I contacted my butler. She checked with the relevant team and found that it had simply been overlooked by the staff. However, they subsequently made up for it by sending me three fruit platters, which I appreciated. One area that I feel could be improved is the air conditioning. Personally, I found the room quite warm, even after turning on both air-conditioning units. When I asked about it, I was informed that some of the air vents were mainly decorative and were not actually functional. This was a little disappointing, as I expected the room to be cooler and more comfortable. Overall, I had a pleasant stay, especially because of the beautiful views and attentive service from my butler, Cora. I hope the hotel can continue improving the room allocation process and air-conditioning system to provide an even better experience for future guests."

"The boss is very nice. He collected my parcel and put a piece of luggage for me to pick up on my return trip. The room is clean, the hot water is great, and there is a pedestrian street nearby where you can walk around and eat. There is also free airport pick-up and drop-off service. I wish the boss a prosperous business😊"

"This 48-story hotel is an older five-star business hotel. While the decor is a bit dated, everything else is really nice. The day before check-in, a butler called to confirm details and our arrival time, and arranged the room according to our needs, which was very thoughtful. 👍 We were assigned a room on the easternmost side. The advantage was that it was quiet and noise-free. We could even watch the sunrise from the large floor-to-ceiling bathroom window around 5 AM ☀️ – I regret not taking a picture. The downside was that light came in through the bathroom door crack, which might not be ideal for those sensitive to light. The room was very spacious, comfortable for our family of three. The breakfast buffet was also excellent, with both Chinese and Western options, from local specialty duck blood vermicelli soup to Western bread and coffee. Downstairs, there's a swimming pool and a gym. The pool has a shallow area suitable for kids. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and the service is great. When the internet had issues late at night, staff promptly came to fix it. Thumbs up! 👍(^-^)👍"

"Came here with my little one. Ingdi Hotel offers excellent service; they had the crib and all the baby essentials ready for us in advance, which saved us a lot of hassle. We took the mini-train and cable car in the park, and it was a new experience for my baby who kept staring out the window – the scenery was indeed lovely. We also explored the Nature Exploration Park; it has some interactive exhibits that kept the little one engaged, and adults won't get bored either. Overall, neither the adults nor the kids got too tired, and we had a great time. If you're visiting the Garden Expo with kids, this hotel is very comfortable and conveniently located. I'd definitely recommend it to friends."

"Originally, I planned to drive to Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai for more freedom, but then the first hiccup occurred: parking wasn't very convenient. Following the navigation, I waited for 10 minutes in the queue for parking spaces opposite the hotel, but the line didn't move and it was also obstructing traffic. I had no choice but to call the hotel, and they arranged for me to use the underground parking garage behind the hotel. Check-in was smooth, handled by a young lady named Liu. She was skilled and efficient, and I even got a room upgrade. There's a Starbucks-authorized coffee shop opposite the lobby where I bought a cake and coffee, which was quite satisfactory. After checking in, I headed straight to several popular shopping malls in Xinjiekou, and then to the Qinhuai River in the evening. Public transport was convenient, with direct subway access to the attractions. Nanjing's attractions are much more compact than Xi'an's, mostly clustered together, which is convenient. Back at the hotel in the evening, I saw an advertisement for the Western restaurant in the elevator. I decided to go for dinner the next day. Since it was quite late, the restaurant manager responsibly informed me that the buffet was almost over, so I ordered a set meal advertised in the elevator, which was good value for money. I also went to the swimming pool in the evening, and here's where I have to complain. Firstly, the water felt a bit cold when I first got in. After swimming two laps with my child, it felt slightly better. Then, I overheard a foreign guest asking the pool staff about the water temperature, pointing out that the sign didn't show 29 degrees. The staff member just took a thermometer, measured it, and showed it to the guest. The foreigner just shook their head and left. 29-degree water shouldn't feel cold; I've worked in a pool before, so I'm quite familiar with this. Then, in the changing room, I found only one large bath towel. I couldn't find a small towel anywhere, so I ended up using the red emergency call phone. Should the hotel consider installing a direct line to the front desk in the changing rooms instead of having to use the emergency call, as their functions are different? Check-out was also quick and efficient, but as a front desk attendant, shouldn't they have asked me if I had a car to park? I ended up running back and forth at least three times from the back door to the concierge before the gate finally opened and let me out. Overall, the hotel's location is excellent, but some of the facilities are unsatisfactory, and the service needs more training. I hope the hotel takes this seriously."

"I rarely stay at Atour; I usually opt for Huazhu hotels. However, this Atour stay really exceeded my expectations. Even though we checked in after midnight, they upgraded our room. The hotel's cleanliness was also excellent, with everything individually wrapped, so I didn't have to worry about hygiene. But my absolute favorite was Atour's pillow; I fell asleep within five minutes of lying down! The Atour pillow is so soft, memory foam is truly the best! Another highlight was Atour's breakfast; it was absolutely delicious! I especially loved the waffles 🧇, and the cereal with milk, and the millet porridge was also great. Later, it seemed the neighboring hotel had a leak that affected our room, but Xiao Ai (a staff member) brought us some small gifts and helped us switch rooms 🥹🥹. Such a warm and cozy Atour Light hotel."

"The room is large, the facilities are relatively complete, and the air conditioning is good. The environment is pretty good, and the service is okay, but the takeaway cannot be delivered upstairs, so you need to go downstairs to get it yourself, which is not very convenient."
