"I initially wrote my review in error under the restaurant listing, which is very misleading because the restaurant appears to have closed down. At first sight this seems to be a very grand place to stay; it features on the tourist trail and groups come to look around. It is an historic building and the bedrooms seem very grand - we had the suite with the balcony over the front door. But the place seems to be run on a shoe string. With no restaurant or bar, no water or tissues in the bedroom, an empty fridge not a minibar, a kettle with nowhere to plug it in, this really isn’t a 4 star hotel. There is only one person on the reception who does everything, including serving coffee at breakfast. Please see the rest of my comments under the restaurant listing. A memorable experience, yes. Quite inexpensive (which should have been a clue), but luxury hotel this is not."

"Good location, free parking space on the street at the door, it is to find luck. The front desk of the hotel is more traditional locals, English can generally communicate, there is a vigil at night, the hotel is particularly quiet, old, but very clean. Breakfast is very simple, but the coffee is good, now made. There is a restaurant within ten minutes walk, but it is quiet at night"
