"Nice hotel, well located, simple but quite good enough for the overnight stay. The ladies at the reception were fantastic and extremely helpful with all our queries and requests. Highly recommend for a no frills stay and use as the base for your visit to the island."

"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."

"This stylish new hotel is located among the famous Pico vineyards. This isn't a room, but an entire cottage with access to a private veranda. Breakfast isn't a buffet; snacks are served at the table. Everything is delicious, and you can always ask for more. There is no restaurant."

"With a beautiful setting close to the ocean, we stayed in one of the new two-bedroom villas (not the hotel for which most of the reviews are for). There are some design issues including literally no where to put your luggage in the bedroom. Due to exceptionally poor planning on the designer's part, we "opted" for the floor in the main living area. The western facing decks are without any shade creating an overheated interior and a relentlessly hot and uninviting deck in the afternoon. Plantings or some sort of fabric for the shade structure will likely be added. However, the value of the existing villa is not worth the price given these issues. I offered management constructive criticism including the notion that a discount should be built into the price until these issues are resolved as I genuinely want the place to succeed. I encourage you to ask for a discount in advance if these matters remain unresolved. Twenty-four villas are in the works. Note: we were properly warned about construction noise before arriving, to be clear that was NOT an issue."

"Let's be honest here. No air conditioning, which makes it very difficult to sleep. The room was dirty and stinky (humidity from the bathroom), with cockroache. Breakfast was supposed to be available for 10 euros, but the host himself admits he doesn't like/want to prepare it (too complicated...). The space available in the common fridge is really tiny (you can't store any proper food for cooking). And last, we couldn't take any shower in the early morning (before going to Mount Pico), as the water was cut at night...We give it 1 "star" only because 0 does not exist"

"This is a nice property. We had one of their villas which was a big size with a large living room/kitchen which was well stocked and nicely furnished. Two others in our party had one of their cabins and they weren't overly impressed as it was simply "functional". The bathroom needs a bit of maintenance and some hooks to hang things on but it is perfectly acceptable. You won't have to worry about plug sockets as I had 16 in my bedroom and I wasn't even in the master bedroom. What let's them down slightly is their breakfast offering which is very small and not that enjoyable. However, in the evening that same restaurant becomes Atmosfere and the food they offer is excellent. The property is not too far from town but you will need a car to get here."
