"I wanna thank the owner Keshab and his lovely family for the warm stay at Mona lisa hotel. I planned to stay only 2 nights here during my visit at Chitwan park but i extended for 2 more days because i felt so at home in Mona Lisa. The rooms where nice with a comfortable bed and a big bathroom with a good shower. The food was delicous and of good quality. The hotel uses organic food from there own farm. The son of the owner Imesh showed me around the farm which was really nice to see. I shared my travel plans with the owner Keshab and he arranged my transport to my next destination Lumbini and brought me in contact with a guide so i could make plans for a hike later on in Pokhara. I really recommend this place to stay when visiting Chitwan national park! Much love to Keshab, his family and the staff🙏🏻❤️ Warm Greets, Sven"

"This is a great badic hotel right at the river in Sauraka. The rooms are basic but clean with all important fans and airconditioning (very important in the middle of the day). The staff both at the restaurant (Siktaram) and at the reception (Sabina) is super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the breakfast and the food served at the restaurant isn’t that great (try Cafe de Safari on the high street!), but I would be very happy to stay here again at my next visit to Chitwan NP."

"We had the best stay at Aikawa, I can only recommend this hotel. It is new and modern and has to be the best hotel in Sauraha. From the first moment we arrived we were so well taken care of. We got an upgrade to a beautiful suite which has a fantastic layout and is just really well thought through. It has a huge bath tub as well as a rain shower and modern, high quality furniture. The pool on level 1 is so inviting and they will bring towels and even drinking water to the lounge chair. The garden has just been completed and offers a bar with a lounge area, table tennis, basketball or volleyball (can't remember which). There is also a spa which we didn't use though as we were too busy. The restaurant was really good and true to the hotels name I had sushi which was really fantastic. Tours can be booked as well. On a side note, our jeep tour of Chitwan national park was quite disappointing because we didn't see many animals and the tour guide (who was not the hotel's tour guide) was only speaking in Hindu to the Indian tourist but of course that wasn't the hotel's fault. The staff is probably the best thing about the hotel, they were so friendly and welcoming. Especially concierge Milan went out of his way to make sure we had a fantastic stay, he even went to the elephant breeding centre with us, which we truly enjoyed - much better than the jeep safari. Overall we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it was a memorable stay for us."

"The Monalisa Hotel was the perfect location for our stay! The staff were welcoming, warm and professional, going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were so lovely and helped organise our activities to make sure we fully embraced all that Chitwan has to offer in terms of culture, food, wildlife and nature. The rooms were spacious and clean and we certainly loved making use of the pool and gym facilities. There are also cute frogs that live in their pond! Last but not least, the food was delicious, I’d highly recommend the banana fritters and banana pancakes!!"

"We had a lovely experience at hotel parkland. The rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained. The staff are absolutely lovely & so very helpful. They were able to our dietary requirements with no issues at all. You will not go hungry! We had Babu as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on local flora & fauna. When he realised that we did not want to participate in elephant tourism, he changed our plans to do a cycle instead. This was an ideal way to see the national Park, much quieter than a jeep & we didn't need to compete with other fees taking photos of the same Rhino. We highly recommend our experience with Hotel Parkland & Babu."

"Checked into this hotel (spent 4 nights here) after spending 4 days at a more humble and further out of town hotel. No sooner had I checked in and strolled to the river bank (all of 20 metres away) I found my first rhino feeding without a care in the world some 100 metres away. It really did surprise me how placid this large beast was. I really enjoyed my time here and would regard the hotel as rustic, yet comfortable with the customer service being a standout. Some staff excelled, especially to the man who worked tirelessly at the restaurant from sunrise to well after sunset. The location is second to none. I had a room on the top floor which had extensive views over the river and well into the National Park. You will find some mixed reviews of this hotel however please keep in mind this is Nepal, a developing country with people just wanting to help you and give you every chance to experience their culture and most wonderful country. I would certainly recommend this hotel as a large room with ensuite and breakfast is very reasonable and certainly value for money."
