As dusk falls, the sea loses its emerald brilliance, and the sandy beach, striped with fine ripples after the ebb tide, resembles the newly unfolding rings of the earth. In the distance, the silhouettes of returning fishing boats crisscross the harbor, their masts slicing the sky into irregular amber patches.
