Although there aren't many restaurants nearby, the beef I ate at was incredibly delicious. If I come back, I'll definitely stay here again."

"Our primary goal was to visit Luoping's Jinji Fengcong (Golden Rooster Hills) and its vast rapeseed fields, so we meticulously chose and booked the highly-rated Xinyuan Dream Guesthouse on Ctrip, conveniently located within the scenic area. It was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable, and our spacious view room offered direct views of Jinji Fengcong. After staying here, we realized that staying within the scenic area is absolutely the best choice, saving both time, effort, and money. The guesthouse is run by a young, university-educated couple. The proprietress is a sweet, friendly, and charming young lady; her radiant smile is as captivating as the blooming rapeseed flowers themselves. They offer freshly prepared dishes and rice for all three meals, which are excellent value for money and taste wonderfully fresh and light. The owner even personally drove us to the scenic area entrance in his electric cart, which was incredibly thoughtful. Right outside the guesthouse, there's a field of rapeseed flowers (Pic 2) where every casual snap turns into a stunning photo. Public transport is also conveniently accessible right outside the entrance. I've already recommended it to all my friends on social media who are planning a trip here!"

"[Directions] (as of March 2025) Fly from Tokyo to Kunming, then transfer in Shanghai. Take a bus from Kunming's East Bus Terminal to Luoping (2-3 hours). 48 RMB. Arrive at Luoping's North Bus Terminal and either take a shared van to Jinji Peak (5 RMB) or a 30-minute taxi ride. From the Jinji Peak monument where an old man is teaching children, it's about a 5-minute walk through the city. The driver of the shared van I chartered for the day called me, The shop assistant came to pick me up on the street. [Room] ☆My room was on the first floor, so if I opened the window, I could see parked cars. There was a security camera. ☆The ceilings were high. The blackout curtains were long. ☆Amenities were provided. There were two rolls of toilet paper, thankfully wrapped in plastic. ☆As is common in China, the toilet and shower were in the same room. As expected, I got the shower all wet and ruined one roll of toilet paper and towels. ☆The shower had a ceiling, a handheld, and a faucet. The pressure was low. The hot water was slow, but it did work. ☆There was an unnecessarily large closet. Blankets were also provided. [Hotel] ☆Wi-Fi available ☆There were no TVs in the rooms, so we all watched them together in the lobby. There was also a large sofa. ☆Smoking was allowed in the lobby. ☆There were apples and a paring knife (probably complimentary). ☆There was a dedicated table for enjoying Chinese tea, a Yunnan specialty. You could drink as much as you wanted. ☆By the next morning, there were sunflower seeds and teacups left over from other guests scattered around. [Restaurant] ☆A restaurant (actually a noodle shop without a door, as is common in China) and an inn were attached to each other, facing the street. It's all connected inside. ☆The lady who picked me up worked both at the front desk and as a waitress at the restaurant. ☆There's no menu at the restaurant. They stock vegetables in a refrigerator that sells ice cream at convenience stores, with meat and ham laid out next to them, and they make stir-fries using them. ☆Drinks are served at room temperature. ☆Breakfast is also provided. Everyone had noodles. By the way, for dinner, I had stir-fried tomatoes and eggs, salted and stir-fried rape blossoms (not spicy), and rice, all of which came out automatically for 44 NTD. [Other] - There are more and more tourist attractions around Jinji Peak, so I recommend staying overnight. Watching the sunrise is especially beautiful. - The temple, a great photo spot, is a 5-minute walk away. - There's a large parking lot near the monument. There's a guardhouse at the entrance that's manned 24 hours a day. Feel free to enter without hesitation. - There's a photo spot in the parking lot with the incomplete ”Jinji Peak” inscription. - Access to the temple is through the grounds of the Yunnan Provincial Communist Party building. Climb the stairs, pass the side of the building, and follow the road to the ticket booth. (10 RMB) - It's a fairly steep climb, so wear comfortable walking shoes. - After climbing the stairs, the path splits into two. Take the path marked ”Observation Area” to reach the photo spot. - The photo spot at the observation area is narrow, so if you want to take some great photos, arrive early. - The other path leads to the temple. The view from there is also great, so be sure to stop by. (But be careful, the road can be slippery.) - There are attractions like trains and gondolas. - There are also a variety of open-air stalls. - There was also a tour that took you on a cow-pulled float through a field of rapeseed flowers. - Note that there are no restrooms."

"The biggest advantage of the room is that it is across the road from Jinjifeng Scenic Area. You can see the sunrise of Jinjifeng in the room or on the top floor terrace. This is very good 👍.
