Environment: Very close to Ziyang Ancient Street, the guesthouse is nestled near the city wall, very quiet, which I loved as someone who needs a good night's sleep. Service: Fantastic! The front desk service was excellent. I wasn't feeling well, and they kept asking how I was doing, which made me feel very welcome. I especially loved the tea table on the first floor; I spent half the day there drinking tea instead of going anywhere else. The young lady and gentleman were both very nice! "Before checking out this morning, I called the front desk to confirm that there were still available rooms. They told me to go downstairs to the front desk to extend my stay. When I got there, a man who seemed to be the manager came over and said they were fully booked. I told them I had just called to confirm that someone was available for me to come down, and that any other room type would be fine. The man said they were sold out. I then went back upstairs to pack my suitcase and went downstairs to wait for the bus. While I was waiting in the lobby, the front desk clerk answered the phone and asked if there were any rooms available. They said there was one on the 5th floor that they could help me change to... He rushed to help carry the luggage from the parking lot to the room. Dinner was served at the B&B. The food was so well cooked that most of it was on CD. After check-out, we were given homemade flower rolls for us to take with us on the road. The room is very clean. It is the cleanest among the many B&Bs I have stayed in. The various room facilities are also well maintained and not superficial. All in all, highly recommended!

LLvsusudebanbanmaoCao Su almost satisfied all my imaginations of a secluded countryside, with a quiet village, trickling water, stone walls and green tiles, and bamboo forests rustling in the wind. Unlike Beijing, where I live, the mild and humid countryside in the south of the Yangtze River touched me almost instantly. Back to Cao Su, the owner Shuicao is enthusiastic and gentle, the aunt in the store is kind and amiable, and the two dogs in the yard, Xiaohei and Heijian, are extremely smart and well-behaved. The best mornings and nights here are when you can stroll around the village or sit in the yard and read after eating the healthy breakfast prepared by the aunt in the morning. At night, you can listen to the chirping of insects and lie on a recliner to watch the stars in the sky. Returning to nature is really realized here. This morning, I left the store and returned to Beijing. Xiaohei and the aunt were not sent to the village entrance by me. I think I will come back, because Cao Su not only has scenery, but more importantly, it has human touch.
