"This hotel is quite charming—it’s a large, old house that has been nicely converted into several hotel rooms. Our room was very comfortable. However, a heads-up regarding the bathroom: there was no door on the toilet area, and the shower was an all-glass enclosure. Since I was traveling with my husband, it wasn't an issue for us, but if you are traveling with friends, you might want to be aware of this lack of privacy. The location is excellent! It’s right next to the City Wall and super close to several great restaurants and cool bars. We also liked the service; the staff were quite attentive. One thing I found confusing, though, was that they didn't register my address as per the usual government standard for foreign guests, which most hotels in China follow. As for cleanliness, it was standard for China—there were a few stray hairs in parts of the room (usually women's hair), but I find this happens in practically any hotel here. Overall, it was a good stay!"

"You get what you pay for. Super convenient to the ancient sites so is perfect for that and affordable. However the toilet was a bit dirty but they cleaned it straight away after I asked them too. Evening staff were a bit inexperienced but other than that it’s very decent for the price."
