Menghai in Xishuangbanna is at an altitude of 1,200 meters, known as a spring-like city in Yunnan where air conditioning is hardly needed. It’s a famous natural oxygen bar, famous for Pu’er tea as its main industry, a peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle. It’s less than a 30-minute drive from Jinghong City in Xishuangbanna. Nearby attractions include Nannuo Mountain, the ancient village of Zhanglang with a thousand-year history, and the Daluo Single Tree Forest, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature.
Our homestay mainly consists of high-floor rooms with a full view of the city. You can enjoy the lively city view right from your window. There are supermarkets and night markets just downstairs. The rooms are equipped with a washing machine, refrigerator and tea table, making it an ideal choice for business trips and long stays. "Thoughtfully designed and new rooms - simple but elegant and has everything you need for a quality stay. My room had a view of the mountains and green fields and it was a great sight to wake up to in the morning. There are plenty of places and balconies on both sides of the building for you to slow down, rest and enjoy tea.
Special compliment to the owner and his staff. They helped me with my luggage up the stairs, chatted with me every time they saw me, and invited me to drink with them one night. I made some great friends and can’t wait to come back.

"The room is clean. It is located in a new development area on the edge of the city. There are tea distribution stores around it. There are no restaurants, so it is inconvenient to eat. Bottled water is available in the room, which is good for us who like to make tea. The TV cannot watch live news (you can only watch it for 3 minutes, and you need to pay), which is very bad for a hotel. You are a hotel, not a B&B, and saving this cost is too much. The breakfast is not bad."

"This might be the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed at. When I checked in, I told them my friend was sick and asked if we could have a double bed instead of a single one. They immediately offered to give us an extra room for free – it was so kind! Plus, my friend needed to be at the airport at 4 AM, and they kindly drove us there and even set an alarm to wake us up so we wouldn't miss our flight. The food was delicious, the room was beautiful, and the staff were incredibly friendly. We also drank delicious Lao Ban Zhang tea all day and even took four slices home with us – it was totally worth it. I will definitely come back, again and again."

"I was very satisfied with my stay at the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, with large windows that let in plenty of light, and it was well-ventilated. The amenities were comfortable and spotless. The front desk lady was incredibly warm and attentive, even recommending local delicacies and sightseeing routes. The lobby had a good selection of local Puer tea, and there were complimentary tea sets available, along with free-flowing coffee and black tea. All in all, it was a very comfortable stay and offered excellent value for money."

"The car broke down on the way to Jingmai Mountain, and then we returned to Menghai for repairs. I wanted to book a hotel in Vienna, but Menghai didn’t have one, and there was no Hanting, so I just booked their hotel. The storefront was average, but the room was nice. It feels very new, the rooms are big, and the hygiene and other aspects are satisfactory. It is not far to walk to buy coffee. It is only a few hundred meters away. The house price is not expensive. There are two schools nearby. They are very large and may be key schools."

I have always wanted to leave the city to find a mountain homestay for two days to completely relax. This homestay met almost all my expectations. Just go into the mountains and enjoy the natural scenery. Eating is the most worrying thing. The food is not too good!

Since we arrived early and the room was not ready yet, the owner upgraded us to a 60 square meter one bedroom and one living room suite. The owner was very enthusiastic and had a strong sense of service, and it felt like home.

This time, 6 of us chose the Babala holiday 🏖️ It was an unexpected touch to harvest ． The climate here ． I was very surprised ． In this tropical rainforest land ． There is a climate of spring all year round ． 18 degrees every day at night ． The quality of deep sleep is very good! The four  suites we booked in this villa are very suitable for ． All the facilities are very complete! Especially there is a separate courtyard tea house so beautiful ． with a separate kitchen. Everything has a supporting ． hot springs in the courtyard ♨️ pool is very beautiful! In short, very good 👍 must come again in winter ．．

I stayed 3 nights and would love to have stayed more! I came for the tea and could not be happier with my experience. I learned a ton about how pu’er tea is made and graded and marketed and sold. My hosts were super-nice - they treated me like family. Special thanks to Abu, whose singing is nothing short of angelic. When she sang during my check-in I was amazed but worried that locals were expected to sing for guests. But a highlight of my stay - of my entire trip to China - was listening to her sing when she was working around the guesthouse and thought no one was listening. A quick piece of advice for new guests: get out and explore the local village/market/mountain. There’s so much to see here, and your hosts are proud of their community and culture and will help you appreciate it.

This homestay really exceeded my expectations. The environment is very good and the rooms are very clean. Even the toiletries are international brands. The hair dryer is also Dyson. These products can be used at such a price, indicating that the boss is really conscience. Finally, the service of the young lady at the front desk and the younger brother is really nothing to say, for fear that you will not be satisfied with your stay.

The hotel is located in Shitoulaozhai, Gelanghe Township, Menghai County, near the Nannuo Mountain Bama Village Office. Situated on a mountain, the environment is indeed beautiful; you can see the clouds and mist in the morning and the sunset in the evening. There aren't many guests at the moment, and the hotel is managed by a young, attractive woman. The hotel is quite clean; there's no air conditioning, but there are electric blankets and electric heaters, which are sufficient for heating needs. The temperature is low on the mountain, and it can get quite cold sitting for a long time, but you'll still sweat when you walk around.

是個茶園，環境真的是不錯，服務也很好。上山的路到後半段新手司機就別嘗試了😅。因為有段較長的向下步行階梯，為了方便，老闆特地裝了個運行李的電梯。大隱於市，城市待膩了，過來住幾天很不錯，因為是剛開業，有些設施可能還不是太完善，不是獨立棟的房間隔音不太好，能聽到隔壁鄰居的說話聲和呼嚕聲，用水聲等等聲音😅😂🤣。晚上可以看到很多星星，用手機也能拍。
