"The tap water is clean.
I stayed at the Moons hotel during my trip to Vienna and was absolutely delighted! I'd like to share my experience.
**What I particularly liked:**
- **Location.** The hotel is conveniently located – major attractions are within walking distance or a short public transport ride away. There are cafes and shops nearby, which is very handy.
- **Cleanliness and comfort.** The rooms are impeccably clean, and the bed linen and towels are always fresh. The interior is modern and well-designed – you can feel the care taken for guests' comfort.
- **Service.** The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive. They answer any questions quickly, help with organizing excursions, and provide city recommendations.
- **Tap water.** I especially want to highlight the water quality – it's absolutely clean, with no strange smells or tastes. You can safely drink it straight from the tap, which was a big plus for me.
- **Breakfast.** The morning meal was delightful with its variety: fresh fruits, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, hot dishes – there's plenty to choose from.
**Conclusion:** The Moons hotel offers an excellent combination of comfort, service, and a great location. I recommend it for both leisure and business trips. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Vienna!"
Delve into the wonderful mysteries of Vienna at the storied Imperial Riding School. Evolving from a 19th century military equestrian school to the city's largest cinema, this historic building has always been a defining part of Vienna's cultural landscape. Now, as a grand 342-bedroom meeting hotel in Vienna that combines the original majestic facade with a contemporary addition, we invite you to explore the idiosyncratic grandeur of regal Austria. Located in the artistic Landstraße district, the Imperial Riding School is surrounded by architectural fascinations, but stands out for its harmonious blend of aristocratic and bohemian characteristics. Inside, you'll find nods to our regal equestrian heritage, from the stable-inspired floors to the plethora of apple delights, plucked from the orchard that is our tribute to the school's founder, Emperor Franz Joseph I. Whether your visit is for culture or business, here you’ll find the perfect balance of elegance and eccentricity.
"Very convenient location, right behind the railway station, 15-20 min from the airport.
Spacious, clean rooms with all required amenities. Although there were no hygienic shower in the bathroom.
Exquisite breakfast with fresh and local produce. Helpful staff. One could ask for custom options during breakfast.
We had a very positive experience."

"The apartment had a spacious, home-like layout and excellent facilities. Although cleaning services weren't provided for our two-day stay, the reception staff were incredibly friendly and proactive in resolving any issues. The separate bathroom and toilet were also a plus. We appreciated the ample cooking utensils and tableware, which made it possible to cook our own meals, and there's even a dishwasher! Personally, I think it would be even better if basic essentials like cooking oil, salt, and sugar were provided, as it feels a bit wasteful to buy everything new for a short stay.
While it's a bit far from the city center, the tram stop right in front of the property makes getting around very convenient."

Amazing
FFreedom Looks Like ThisThe hotel is centrally located for shopping and sightseeing, about 20 min by bus from the main train station. The music theme is delightful although the Bassline room is compact. The good thing is there are lots of hooks in addition to hangers.
I enjoyed some old school Motown and Caribbean music, borrowing records from reception.
While the amenities in the room are limited, it’s easy to contact the staff by WhatApp and pick up items like robes, slippers, shower caps from the front desk.
The room is only cleaned in request which is fine. But I think the cleanliness could use some attention. There was dust around the plugs in the room and piles of towels in the sauna. One of the guests had to ask for more towels and glasses there.
The gym is fine. Dumbbells up to 22kg and 3 cardio equipments as well as some machines.
Breakfast has great variety. Omelettes to order as well as both warm and cold food.
All the staff was really friendly and helpful.
MMichael SedlThe hotel is located right by Belvedere Palace and just a few minutes from the main train station. The restaurant has a small menu, but the dishes are excellent and, for Vienna, relatively affordable. The front desk staff is very friendly, and the breakfast stands out—finally, real scrambled eggs instead of pre-made ones. The bed was very comfortable; the only thing that took some getting used to was the sink next to the bed, but that was due to the room's design. I was very satisfied and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserI booked a family room for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children. They don't allow an additional child. The location is very close to the main train station, and you can also walk to Belvedere Palace. There's a bus stop near Belvedere Palace that's much more convenient than taking the subway, as it goes directly to all the popular attractions in the Old Town, like the Musikverein, Karlskirche, Hofburg, museums, and City Hall… I only discovered this on the day we left! 😅 I bought a 48-hour transport pass, which felt like a better deal than the City Card, as the latter mainly offers discounts on attractions that you might not even use. With the transport pass, taking the train from the main station to the airport only costs 2.2 euros (half price for children). It takes 16 minutes to get to the airport, and even without the pass, it's not expensive – if I remember correctly, it's 2.9 euros. The hotel offers almost no service; it's mainly self-service. Housekeeping is supposedly every four days. Since we only stayed for 2 nights, it was acceptable, but I imagine it would be a bit uncomfortable for a longer stay.
LLambertlanboThe location seems a bit out of the way, but luckily, I'm used to long commutes in China. You need to take the light rail and then the subway to get downtown. The hotel service is decent; they lend universal adapters for free. The only catch is that you have to pay extra for a Danube River view from any room! European hotel rooms are all about the same size. There's a shopping mall downstairs, which is convenient for quick meals. Plus, there's a DM supermarket where you can buy daily necessities!
GGuest UserThe hotel’s location is brilliant, right by the river. A reasonable walk from all the main sites in the centre but also a short walk away from public transport (tram, subway) if you prefer. The airport bus is just across the bridge - was very convenient. The staff were super friendly and helpful, offering me coffee and answering any questions I had. I asked for a room on a higher floor, and got one on the 7th floor which had decent views of the city. The room itself was perfect size, not too small and was clean. The bed was very comfortable! Good value for a 4* - I would highly recommend :)

Very Good
GGuest UserStayed at Austria Trend Hotel Europa Wien for two nights. Overall impression:
Pros:
• Excellent location — right on the pedestrian street and only a 3-minute walk to St. Stephen’s Cathedral. All major attractions within the Inner Stadt are within easy walking distance.
• The double bed actually consists of two separate mattresses, so you won’t disturb each other during sleep.
• Two separate duvets provided, which is convenient.
Cons:
• The room had a musty smell upon entry; I had to open the window to air it out.
• Since the hotel faces the pedestrian street, it’s extremely noisy — crowds during the day, drunk people shouting at night, and in the early morning hours, street sweepers and sanitation workers make it impossible to sleep.
• If you close the window to block the noise, the room becomes very stuffy because the bathroom ventilation doesn’t work at all.
• The bathtub design is awkward, with mold visible on the tiles. No matter how carefully you shower, water still splashes onto the bathroom floor.
• The toilet flush is weak and can’t even handle toilet paper properly.
• The carpet is dirty, and the fabric chairs are stained as well.
For a hotel charging over €200 per night, guests deserve a cleaner and more comfortable room environment.

Very Good
DDomicchaI was worried about the time it would take to get around since it's a bit far from the old town, but there's a bus stop right in front and a tram stop a short walk away, so getting around was absolutely no problem. The room, although a bit dated, was kept very clean, and I had a comfortable stay. I also used the breakfast service, and the selection was much better than I expected. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.
DDarren GUYETTI really enjoyed my 3 nights stay, modern, quiet, and great location for easy subway trains or tram into the city centre - or even a 10 minute walk away to the station.I thought it might be a long way out but actually worked really well. Only 10 minute walk to the Prater amusement park, great at night! The city panorama room had a good view of the city in the distance on 7th floor. The room was large, really comfortable and very quiet. Cleamed every day with fresh towels. Take a kettle and supplies as the room doesn’t have those. The restaurant is also very nice on site, I had dinner and the food was great and the surroundings very relaxed. I will stay here again!
VVerified Member🏨🚇🥐🧼🏙️ I think the hotel is in a very well-connected area. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the main bus and train terminal and just a short metro ride into Old Town for all your sightseeing needs.
The room was spacious with solid housekeeping and a clean, well-kept bathroom. No complaints regarding cleanliness — everything was taken care of. One thing to note is that the hotel is massive. We were given the very last room at the end of a long corridor, which meant it took nearly five minutes to walk to the elevator. So when you check in, I recommend asking for a room closer to the elevator, otherwise it can be a bit of a hassle going back and forth.
Something that left a bad taste was only being told at checkout that breakfast would be charged as an extra. My honest tip is that if you do decide to have breakfast, just don’t mention it. With the number of guests they manage, it’s unlikely they’ll track who actually showed up at the buffet. The breakfast itself was average — your typical hotel spread. The eggs tasted a bit off, but I made it work with multiple cappuccinos from the machine, plus some sausages and toast to fill up.
Overall, nothing fancy, but probably great value considering how expensive Vienna can be. Most importantly, the hotel is very well connected to public transit, with a metro station just a five-minute walk away. That line has frequent trains to and from Old Town, which made sightseeing super convenient.
I’ll probably stay here again, though I don’t think the breakfast is worth the price, and I do wish they had been more upfront about the cost from the beginning.

UU38066Good design concept, with very well located apart next to the metro and trams, also with walking distance to HBF.
Superclean!
Good staff for cooking.
The big inconvenience has been that there is only one auto check-in machine and it didn't work at 14:00 when everyone was there to try to allocate. The on-line check-in works but doesn't provides any QR thoufh their text claims so (all the ten persons there had the same situation). And the rooms were finally available at 14:20, only then the machine started to delivee keys.
I will be back and hope this swlf-service peoblem no longwr exists.
