"The hotel is conveniently located near the station, which is great for those without their own transport. It doesn't offer any special facilities, and the rooms are quite standard. Breakfast was identical every day, with just two options: a Japanese or Western bento box. As we stayed for multiple consecutive nights, having the same breakfast daily became monotonous, especially since the ingredients weren't of great quality. On the positive side, cleanliness was acceptable."

"The free shuttle bus from Fukushima Station to Sansuiso is incredibly convenient; just be sure to book in advance. It's a van, so seating is limited. A taxi would take about 25 minutes. I booked a Japanese-Western style room for one. It had a bed and was a spacious suite, though the layout was a bit odd. The bedroom with the bed had no window but an exhaust fan and was relatively quiet. The Japanese-style room, however, offered the sound of the stream. Both room types are a bit older but offer great value for money and good hygiene. Sansuiso boasts two large public baths, one on the first floor and one on the sixth, plus an open-air bath with fantastic views. The food is good, although dinner service was a bit chaotic. I upgraded to the grilled beef for an extra 2200 yen, and it was incredibly worthwhile – highly recommended for a significant upgrade. After-dinner desserts included a fruit buffet with fresh, high-quality fruit, and the desserts themselves were exceptionally delicious. Breakfast was buffet style, not as good as what I had at Kintaro Onsen. A unique feature here is the abundance of free drinks; there's beer downstairs and a sake buffet in the restaurant. The coffee, however, tasted like it was made with powdered milk, so it was just average. The staff were all very enthusiastic, and one gentleman spoke Chinese and was incredibly patient and thoughtful. They also have renovated, more opulent rooms where the meals would be even better. If you have dinner in a private room, breakfast is also served individually. The experience in such rooms would be significantly enhanced. Among onsen ryokans at a similar price point, the best value for money and most meticulous service I've experienced was at Kisshotei in Kaga Onsen."

"Overall a nice hotel, very close to the JR train station, just a couple of minutes walk away. The room size was very generous a lot bigger than others we’ve stayed at in Japan. The bathroom was also very spacious with a full size bath and powerful shower. The hotel provides nightwear and toiletries as well as coffee and laundry. Breakfast has a good variety of choices although can we quite busy as peak times and items do run out. I would recommend as a good convenient choice if travelling by train."

"This getaway was exactly what I wanted. Traditional, immersive, comfortable, accomodating. The staff came and greeted us in the car park, the dinner and breakfast was amazing, delicious, adventurous. And the onsen on the roof was perfect! The staff thoroughly explained their processes. I spoke some japanese and they spoke only some english but they were very accomating with us and welcoming. I would highly recommend and its also not far from town either. It snowed a little the night we stayed and it was so magical! We had our own private onsen at our room but the others in the ryokan are even better and available to be private, just lock door when your using."

"Apart from the perfect expression of the feeling of this hot spring hotel, there are really no other adjectives. The hotel is designed with a simple heart and 10 points clean, with a small drink area, you can choose your favorite drinks and ice cream and snacks. The room decoration is 10 points new, and the toilet and shower location supplies are also 10 points complete. Drinks in the refrigerator are also free, and another surprise is that the refrigerator has free ice cream! Of course, their outdoor wind is the biggest highlight here. It is really 10 points unforgettable. It is like being in a paradise. Dinner is also 10 points surprise. My friends don't eat cows. They will also change him to other main dishes. 10 points carefully. Will also take the initiative to take pictures for us! However, some improvements are that they stipulate that each group of guests can only enjoy 40 minutes of hot springs, before dinner and the next day, and only 30 minutes in the morning. For me, the time is 10 minutes short, because it is necessary for their hotel to go to the hot spring place and prepare to enter the hot spring. In essence, the time to enjoy the hot spring is very short.  When I have experienced a lot of hot spring hotels in the past, this one is the shortest, because the average is at least 50 minutes. Moreover, I only have three guests when I check in. They will not let us enjoy a little longer. It’s really a bit confusing. Not flexible enough!"

"Stayed on February 10th. The open-air bath with the snow falling was special! The staff at the inn were very responsive and we were able to talk about various things, making it a great trip. It was an inn that made me want to come again next time."
