"I called by recently to escape the rain whilst out walking. The fire was lovely and welcoming and so were the staff. It is a pity that the food didn't match up. I ordered the double hamburger with chips. The meat part was just a couple of poor quality burgers , not even birds eye standard. I ate most of it but put some in my pocket to give to the next passing dog i met. Everything else about the pub was lovely...the atmosphere, the location, the staff, the décor etc. It was the quality of the food that let it down."
