"I really liked this hotel, especially for the wonderful location. Parking was easy, which is not common in July, the daily price was very economical. The "beach" area, the quotes are because there is no sand, it is very well served with sun loungers and is very peaceful and pleasant. what can be improved: The buffet food was below reasonable. They try to have an extensive offer, but the way of cooking is worthy of a school canteen. Bar in the beach area, little on offer and little friendliness. The options around are much more attractive."

"we payed 1100€ for 6 nights in these apartments. When we first arrived, our first innitial thoughts on the apartments were good, we were on the 2nd floor, it wasnt modern, but not bad for the price, then during our first night there, our neighbours underneath us started being very loud during the late night hours around 1 or 2AM in the morning, they were laughing out loudly, drinking, their kids were screaming, we were irritated but we didnt do anything yet because we thought that they wouldnt do the same thing the next night, but guess what? the next night they were even louder, so we texted the hotel reception and the next day they have told us that they spoke with our neighbours and that they apologized and said they wont to it again. Then the 3rd night comes and they are being very loud again. So we went to the hotel reception in the middle of the night to speak to the receptionist, he told us that they will send security to their apartment to speak with them, but yet when we came back to our apartment no security came and they continued to be loud for the rest of the night, our other neighbours were angry with them too, but the hotel staff did bare minimum to stop them."

"OK, price performance is okay! The Residence Umag is a neighborhood of the “Hotel Umag” and high air to the Plava Laguna group. We know other 4* hotels in the chain - there is a clear one must say that it is weaker in general! Positively mention is the location of the hotel Umag as well as the restaurant's food possibility in the immediate vicinity of the sea! The rooms in the Residence are somewhat modernly restored, rather small and modest, but sufficient for a few days! The bathroom is usually too small... Bed was very hard, too hard for our terms! The food in the dining room of the Hotel Umag was very good! Unfortunately, the food was rather law-arm-cold and when filling the food and the drinking machines you hardly did... (Hotel seemed to be full booked!!!) . The dining room would urgently need an installation consultant and acoustic, as it is very noisy... the food outdoor is top! Conclude: price-performance ratio is good! Unfortunately, it lacks the “love for detail”, it feels everything sterile and fad to be viewed... Garden facilities great! "

"The room was initially infested with mosquitoes. I mean dozens, which was unusual. We spent the first two days disinfecting it, repeatedly. The first day, the room wasn't cleaned. The second day, it was, but not the bathroom. On the third day, it was already 3 PM, and I had to ask for someone to clean it up, despite the "Please make the room" sign that had been hanging since 9 AM. The bathroom flooded twice, with water coming out of the floor drain. We called a plumber, but the next day we were back to square one. We solved the problem by taking very short showers and using towel barriers on the floor. The toilet is too small to fit if you're taller than 120 cm (see photo). No bidet. The balcony overlooked a landfill for all five days (see photo). Dust and cobwebs falling from the ceiling. Strange stains on the phones (see photo), and everything else, which were cleaned on the fourth day by accident. The exhaust from the kitchen vented through the suspended ceiling of our bathroom: it felt like we were staying in a deli. The hotel lobby was crowded with chairs so tightly packed you couldn't even get through, lit by so much neon lighting it looked like a hospital waiting room. But the worst thing was the food in the restaurant, both for breakfast and dinner. 4 stars?? The food was worse than a company cafeteria: the seemingly wide selection of food was always 80% chicken, pasta, and potatoes, all cooked poorly. Any meat or fish was overcooked, rubbery, and tough. The scrambled eggs were a hard, dry omelette, broken into pieces. The pancakes looked like coasters. They didn't even know that salt is added to the pasta's cooking water, and that it shouldn't be cooked for 20 minutes... The pizza was raw. The cheeses and cured meats were worse than those at the discount store. The wine... let's draw a veil over it. The pie, reheated eight times, was as hard as wood. The shark was overcooked, like the sole of a shoe. The scorpion fish (or so I thought; there were almost never any labels, you ate blind) was just bones, and since it was overcooked... they wandered freely in the shapeless mass. The fried chicken was completely inedible, like wood. The meatballs bounced (I swear). The freshly made fritters were burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The cevapcici, parmigiana, and omelette cooked on the spot that morning were decent. Too little. I've stayed in many other hotels everywhere and always had a good experience, so it's not that I have particularly delicate tastes. This is indecent, light years away from any of my other experiences. Embarrassing."

"The staff at the reception, and especially in the restaurant, are very pleasant, professional, and friendly. The wellness area is excellent — both in terms of the facilities offered and the spacious saunas and cleanliness. The resort’s surroundings are impressive, and the landscaping is truly remarkable. The accommodation we stayed in is very comfortable, well-equipped, clean, and spacious. However, there are several shortcomings in the apartment. The emergency light is installed directly above the bed. The green LED, which must remain on, shines directly into the faces of the guests sleeping in the bed, which is very uncomfortable. There are no bedside lamps on the nightstands. None of the lights in the apartment can be switched off from the bed — there are no light switches near the headboard (on either side). Therefore, when a guest wants to go to sleep and turn off the lights, they must get out of bed to do so. Similarly, at night, the guest has to walk through the apartment in the dark to turn on any light. If you provide a coffee machine and offer coffee capsules, why not also place two tea bags next to the kettle? I would also like to share a few additional impressions. We fully understand that, due to the low number of guests, dinner was served à la carte and there was no breakfast buffet. This was communicated to us during the reservation, so that part is completely fine. However, when we asked why the coffee machine was not turned on during breakfast, the explanation that this was also due to the small number of guests was simply unacceptable. I do not understand how “only” about thirty guests could be considered too few to justify turning on a coffee machine, especially since the total number of guests during the breakfast period was surely higher. Dinner on both days was, quite literally, disastrous — with Saturday’s dinner being particularly inedible. As you advertise yourselves as a 5-star resort with a special emphasis on a luxurious rooftop restaurant offering Istrian specialties, we would like an explanation as to why we were served food that would barely meet the standards of a student cafeteria. Attached is a photo of the meal served on Saturday: greasy French fries and a turkey roulade that was so dry and lukewarm it was simply inedible — downright awful. Where is at least some sort of salad with dinner? Visually and in taste, a complete failure. The starters were at the level of hospital food (rice pudding with a bit of green zucchini sauce, traces of chicken over a small amount of green salad topped with plain mustard, etc.). The day before, mashed potatoes and goulash, and so on. Another confusing detail: at breakfast, among the sauces on the buffet table, there were large bowls filled with mustard, horseradish, and similar condiments. We could not understand what these were meant to accompany, given that the buffet selection offered nothing that matched them besides a few cold cuts and cheese. In short, regardless of"

"The hotel is clean, well-maintained, spacious, and inviting. Front desk was responsive. Overall it was a great stay. I will say that the staff was hit or miss. I had a cleaner open our room without knocking while I was changing (no knock!), a pool bar staff member take drink orders and disappear without delivering them, and the hostess at breakfast didn't tell us there was a buffet. (Neither did the waitstaff who came to take our order from a menu.) I expected better service for the price but I understand it's hard to get workers in Croatia."

"1) We booked the hotel, making sure there was an elevator. I have serious health problems. This hotel is very large. We were given a room located dozens of meters from the reception in an annex building. Our room was in the basement, which was NOT served by the elevator. I asked the same day what about the amount to pay if we leave the next morning. I was told that the last 2 nights would not be due but I was also offered to change rooms the next day. 2) The next day, I was told that another room had already been reserved for the remaining 2 nights. I never gave my agreement. She insisted that I take this room which I refused in front of my categorical refusal, she offered me to speak to the manager. I refused since I did not see the reason. Finally she told me the amount due. Sounds like a scam. 3) All-purpose lunch with tasteless "fruit" juices"

"I was staying with my family for 6 nights in 2 Amfora apartments 4+2. I live in The Netherlands and my sister in Croatia. For my sister and her family were apartments great, as for Croatian standards they are good but from my own view is that they are not 4 stars as advertised ( I travel a lot). They were very clean on the arrival but they look run down. Be aware that daily cleaning is not included in the price but they do provide daily clean towels, toilet paper, sheets if needed. Everything looks cheap and old but I have paid a very resonable price so on the end I wouldn't say that is overpriced but maybe in the high season is diffrent. There were enough pots and pans, beds are good, fridge doesn't have a freezer part. There is a filter coffee machine, kettle and a tosti maker. Wifi is very bad ( please improve) , my own mobile connection was also bad when cloudy so good wifi is essential. There is a TV but there were no channels availble at first. My sister needs TV so we complained, a friendly repair man promissed to fix it and the next day we had all channels- puno hvala! Resort is beautiful and very well kept, apartments are less beautiful but if you report that something is dysfunctional they come very quickly to fix it. Service is overal very good, staff are kind and helpful, because of the service I would probably stay here again although I was not so happy with apartment."
