NANJO ART VILLA 橘邸 is an exclusive whole-villa retreat within Nanjo Art Museum, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Pacific Ocean — just 2 minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sefa-utaki. The villa was converted from a former university president's residence and tea ceremony studio. Original paintings by 18 recipients of Japan's highest cultural honor, the Order of Culture, hang throughout every room. This is not a gallery you visit — it is a home you inhabit. Rooms include a Ryukyu tatami room, Japanese tatami room, Western-style bedroom, fully equipped kitchen & dining area, and a living room facing the Pacific and ancient forest.
