Hotel Halifax is the best hotel that I lived so far. Rooms are very clean and also service are way above my expectations. The only key point is the restaurant is pretty good. The two most memorable person (s) that I meet so far. First one is a nice young lady. Her name is Leah. She’s super nice and welcoming. She is very outgoing; professional and hardworking. She also have a very nice smile to brighten people’s day. Her wonderful smile is like a shining diamond. The most memorable thing I remember she did is she showed me a detailed map and make sure I know where to go. She also explained to me in detail about how to access the hotel. A big thank you for Leah’s wonderful professional service and always with a great nice smile. Leah is also very very polite too.Another person that I remembered is a gentleman named Nir. He is very helpful and polite. Overall. Every staff at the Hotel Halifax are very polite and helpful. Including the restaurant ones. Make sure if you want to live in this hotel. Look for either Leah or Nir to do your check in process. They will make you feel comfortable as you are in your own home. Big thank you to every staff at the hotel Halifax. And an extremely big big big shout out to Leah and Nir. They are most thoughtful person. I feel so appreciate for both Leah and Nir. P.S: Leah is also a very warm-hearted person that I meet. Definitely will come back for Leah and Nir only. 10/10 or 100/100.

Positives: - Convenient location to the Halifax Citadel and the harbor, 2-3 blocks each way. - Good hot water - The room itself is old with limited electrical outlet, but the hotel installed extension cords and additional electrical outlet bases on the nightstand and on the desk to make charging easy and convenient. - The room was also dark due to its original design and age of the building, but the hotel brought in more lights and evenly spread-out the room to ensure no dark area/spot, which I appreciate. Negatives: - Hairs found on top of toilet and floors of the bathroom, lots of short hairs, disgusting - Watermarks on the coffee table and nightstand - Many pin holes on the walls and wall papers - When raising the dirty bathroom issues to the hotel, they sent an inexperienced person, Jared, over to help but the issues did not get resolved and made false accusations about me being rude to him when I was speaking at my normal voice and sharing cleanliness issues. - Toilet dripping all night - Booked for VIP package but did not get VIP service in both room quality and condition as well as staff attitude (particular from Jared) other than waiving the self-parking fee. - When speaking with the hotel manager about the issues after Jared's inability to solve it, the hotel manager plain outright told me over the phone that he did not care how I felt and was not willing to help solve the situation, and sided with his employee, Jared, who had negative attitude and accused me of being rude to his employees. And deflating the real issues, which is disgusting and unclean floors with many hairs. And made suggestions on using towels to ”cover up” all unclean hairs and dirty floors in the bathroom. - The hotel did not own up its own responsibility when dropping the ball on cleanliness and got defensive, worse yet, turned around falsely blaming me for being rude and treating hotel employees badly when it's them who started negative attitudes. Other: - Check in staff, Stella, was efficient but came across as impatient because she kept on cutting me off before I finished speaking. - Olga, the second check-in staff, was more cordial - There is no valet parking. The closet self-parking is across the street, no parking right underneath. In other words, if you sign up self-parking with the hotel, they will send you to a large parking garage across the street, and the hotel will provide you with an instruction slip on how to find it and find your way back to the hotel lobby. The parking garage entrance is on Albemarle St. If you follow hotel's instruction slip carefully, you should find your way back without issues. Always remember where you park. Or just ask people around. The walk from where you park to the hotel lobby is at least 10 minutes assuming you don't get lost. You would cross a big indoor food court and a walkway and escalates before getting back to the hotel lobby. The hotel shares parking structure with Hotel Halifax across the street. - No breakf

Hubby and i stayed overnite, we went to the drive in. Checked in with a very friendly lady named Stella. Check in was fast, she mentioned bout breakfast, what all was available and what times they served. Went into our room, was nice and cool, very hot outside. Was very clean and well stocked with everything. Hubby turned the tv on, couldn't get no sound, so i went out to the desk, Stella came down to our room and she tried to get the volumn to work, wouldn't work for her. So, she said im going to try something, and she did, then we had sound on the tv. Other then this little issue, everything was great. Thank 😊 you
Hilton Garden Inn Halifax Airport

🚗 Transportation: The most speechless, the hotel shuttle bus to the airport is free. But after the driver sent us to the airport, he said a lot of things that he didn't understand and asked us for ten dollars (there were three of us in the car). We gave it to him. Later, please ask the customer service to help the hotel to verify that the pick-up and drop-off car is really free. Collection of money is the driver's personal behavior. Remind everyone that the hotel-related services can be bound to the room, the cash receipt is very problematic, don't be almost fooled like me. Trip.com yyds 🧹 Hygiene: The room hygiene is not bad, that is, the toiletries of the Garden Inn in Hafa during the epidemic is still the big bottle stuck on the wall. The Garden Inn I stayed in Calgary, Ottawa is not. 🍃 Environment: I am really speechless, living on the first floor, a large light outside the window is shooting at the window of the room, and the curtains are still bright. There is no hair dryer in the room. I asked my friend about the room. I can find the front desk. The front desk also asked me repeatedly to confirm that there is no room 😅. Facilities: The lobby is better than the holiday inn next door. The lobby of the holiday inn is very very fast and hotel wind. The hotel air conditioning is noisy and not cool. Overall this garden inn is not as good as the other garden inn.

We fit five people in one room for two nights. We had two double beds and a rollaway bed in there. It was a bit tight, but it worked. One problem we had was that the air conditioner was dripping water, until my sister-in-law turned up the heat, which seemed to fix it a bit. The second morning we were there, we had the breakfast from the hotel pub. It was buffet style, cost $14, and was worth it. They had the usual bacon, eggs, sausages, hash browns, yogurt, cereal, plus fruit cups and overnight oats. There may have been more that I missed. I ate more than I usually do for breakfast.

Would rate the front desk staff a 8 out of 10 due to the lack of concern about one of the staff. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful and cleaned up when we only ask that our garbage been taken out. Room was very comfortable When the phone wasn't working one of the young front desk staff came up and took immediate charge and fixed the problem. We were looking forward to using the ”hot tub” but who ever is responsible for the hotel's web site should delete the hot tub picture s it hasn't been there, per front desk staff, at least 10 years. The fitness room only has 2 out of 4 of the stationary and Eliptical bike working. Gave up after mentioning it to the front desk staff on two occasions. Had a nice washroom with safety bars, but would suggest bringing a safety mat and there were no safety *****s in the tub. Surprisingly I found out the hotel did not have a liquor licemce so I had to go to another hotel for some ”brown pops' on New Year's eve.

There were many good points to this hotel but the downside of staying here could so easily be addressed. Firstly, on arrival we presented a debit card. No, no, you can’t do that. We have to pay a refundable deposit using a credit card which, by luck we had. Please just warn people that you require this as it’s less stressful. When we put it in the card reader it refused the credit card. This was embarrassing as we had to repeat this three times. More stress! After some humiliation it finally went through manually whereupon the receptionist informed us that it often did this! More stress. Why the heck don’t they get a new card reader or put the information in manually. Then my partner filled in the check in form and they wanted to know both names when normally only one person completes this, also the wanted or email, no thanks! It felt like the third degree. More stress! Now into the room. We switched on the TV. It was already on a channel but it stated it was not available. There was no instructions to tell us that the only free Chanel’s were from 1-150. A very simple leaflet explaining this would relieve the stress! The room itself was clean and everything was provided: towels, face cloth, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There was also tea and coffee available and a hair dryer. Although the hotel is clean it does look very shabby in parts and in need of a lick of paint. We requested an early alarm call which arrived on time, The up side. Other than one receptionist all the staff were so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, especially Jess and Victoria. We ate in the restaurant for both supper and breakfast and the food was great. The draught beer is highly recommended. Finally, I would recommend this hotel if only they would address the small, easily resolved, frustrations.

Located in the west of Haffa, opposite Costco, next to a gas station, the restaurant on the ground floor is very good. We were very satisfied with our brunch. The hotel parking lot is very large and easy to park. The room is also spacious.
