This is my favorite hotel chain to book in Japan; you can't really go wrong with it. The rooms are clean, well-equipped, and actually a bit more spacious than I expected. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the JR station. If you're using Aomori as your base to explore nearby cities daily, you might find yourself a little tired after a long day, as you'll still have a bit of a walk back to the hotel. However, the surroundings are very quiet, so if you don't mind the walk, I highly recommend this place. The breakfast is delicious, especially the scallop sashimi (I'm not sure if it's an Aomori specialty), which was so good I keep thinking about it... super fresh and sweet! The free ramen at night is also yummy and comforting after a hot bowl, even if it's a tad salty (but hey, it's free, so who's complaining!). On the onsen floor, they offer free lactic acid drinks or popsicles at different times, which are a nice treat. One minor drawback: the washing machines and dryers are coin-operated. If you don't have enough coins, you'll end up buying drinks from the vending machine just to get change. However, this isn't really a fault of this particular hotel; most coin-operated laundry machines in Japanese hotels probably work this way.

I stayed here for my first trip to Hachinohe. The downtown area is quite a walk from Motohachinohe Station, which I imagine could be tough during summer or on rainy days. However, the hotel's location is excellent, being close to the downtown area with plenty of great restaurants nearby! They offered delicious apple juice in the lobby. The room was a bit on the small side but felt very clean. Breakfast offered a great variety, and everything was delicious, including the kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl), ika-menchi (squid cutlets), and scallop fry! The hot spring bath was also wonderful, but unfortunately, I spotted a cockroach and had to get out immediately 😭. Perhaps it's unavoidable with an open-air bath, but I really wish I could have relaxed in such a nice hot spring longer – that's my only slight regret! I was also delighted that the hairdryers in the public bath were Panasonic Nanoe models! And the ice cream after the bath was delicious too.

The hotel is quite far from Hirosaki Station. It may take 15-20 minutes to walk there, but the hotel has a shuttle bus to the JR station in the morning, which runs frequently. There are parking spaces, which is more suitable for self-driving tours. There are many restaurants near the hotel with many choices. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to Hirosaki Park.

So satisfied with our stay! 5 mins walk from station, food options nearby. Lobby is at L3, lobby is big and LOTS of amenities provided! Including bed room Slippers! Love the room size too! More than enough space to open our 3 big luggages. Toilet and bath area are separated. Stayed at the MYSTAYS in tokyo and didnt expect anything. But was really surprised at this location!Really really enjoyed our stay here, will definitely be back!!

Although I chose this ryokan as alternative place but it turned out it is my best stay so far. It is not far from Kuroishi and it is accessible by public transport. Room is very spacious and has both a bathroom and a toilet. Onsen is good. It has both indoor and outdoor ones. Usually it is not busy. Food was great both dinner and breakfast. Free flow of both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also included. Very generous. Staffs are very friendly, although their English are very limited. Extra 150 yen per person for onsen tax. Cash term only. Cashless payment is available.

The overall experience is great. 1. The room is very delicate, very clean and beautifully furnished. More luxurious Japanese-style room. 2. Facing the sea, the environment around the hotel is very good. 3. Complete facilities, private baths can also be rented if there are public baths. 4. The food in the hotel is very generous. Whether breakfast or dinner. 5. There is also a three-string performance at 8 pm. The performance of the old man is really great. Although he can't understand Japanese, he can be infected by the atmosphere. 6. One of the managers of the hotel is Taiwanese. Friendly and good service to customers. This hotel is recommended.

Aomori City was experiencing a terrible snowfall that day, so we arrived about two hours later than planned. We contacted them while driving to inform them that we would be delayed, and finally arrived much later than planned, driving through the heavy snow, but the response and consideration of the front desk staff was heartwarming.

I visited Hachinohe to see the festival. I could see the festival parade from my room window. The staff were friendly, the facilities were clean, and the bedding was comfortable. In addition to the festival, there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel, making it convenient to go to Hachinohe's famous morning market.

DDevI stayed at this place while hiking Michinoku trail. This place is right next to the train station Tanesashi Kaigan. Very clean and well maintained place. The owner lady is very sweet, kind and helpful. This is a fantastic place to stay, no doubt. Dinner and breakfast are sumptuous, with a variety of dishes. It is a short walk to the sea shore as well. I know basic Japanese, and I have lived in Japan before. Therefore it is easier for me to stay in minshukus. However, it is not difficult for foreigners to stay in this place at all. The lady owner is very helpful. I will not hesitate to stay here again when I visit this area. I highly recommend this place.

GGuest UserTake a look at the top picture. This hotel is very close to the train station. The problem is that Shin-Aomori Station itself is very remote. There is really no convenience store near the hotel. You have to walk for more than ten minutes to find one. It is strongly recommended that if you are traveling to Aomori, it is more convenient to stay at Aomori Station. It is convenient to go to Oirase Stream or Nebuta House, and there are many foods. The most exaggerated thing about this hotel is that if you stay in the room for a long time, if you don’t hang a sign outside, you won’t even pick up the garbage. This is a bit too much. The Japanese hotels I stayed in before may not actively replace the linens if you stay for a long time, but shouldn’t normal garbage collection be the default?

TTingxuanThe overall is very good, the meals provided by the hotel are delicious. Dinner is enjoyed in the room, breakfast is eaten in the restaurant outside; the staff is very cute. But the hotel and the station are a little distance, but fortunately the hotel sent a car to the station when the return trip.

NNkiacmkiyThe Hakkoda Hotel is a good hotel that I will not forget in my life. It was a super heavy snowstorm that day, and my wife and I could only do hotel activities. It was comfortable in the strong wind but there was no outdoors. The restaurant was delicious with Japanese and Western food After that, I fell asleep 😴 Special mention that there is no other food in the hotel 🤣 Remember that there are no cup noodles! ! So if you can’t get out of the hotel, there will be no other food 🥱 But the service quality is very high, the hotel is clean and beautiful, and it’s a good place to go

GGuest UserFor less than 1400, supper comes out for supper, breakfast comes out. After breakfast, each person drinks a cup of coffee or tea at the bar. The hot spring is free to soak. It is only 20 minutes away from Aomori by tram. I think it is worth taking a half day alone as a relaxing trip. After all, Aomori is very small. I live in the city for a day to see the House of the Sandman and my favorite punch card. Hoshino, why not try it! It's not easy to find a hot spring street that is not in the old forest in the mountains these days (in fact, the hotels in Asamushi are a bit scattered). Talk about the shortcomings, the hotel welcomes you free of charge, but you need to make an appointment or call after you arrive at Asamushi Station. You do n’t need to worry about Japanese if you are in Japan. Even more trouble. However, you can try your luck. Saturday's pick-ups may be intensive, and we just happened to get in the car. If you go by yourself, it ’s not as easy to find as the other ones. Yu Zhi Tang is next to him, and it ’s not easy to find. On the contrary, those who can see the sea are very eye-catching and easy to find. The room is a bit small, to be honest, but eating well can make up for some regrets.

CchaospittSHThe thing about this hot spring hotel is that you absolutely have to have the right mindset and perspective. If you've taken a long train or driven to a Japanese seaside hot spring, watched the sunset, and enjoyed this unique experience, and you're mostly surrounded by elderly men and women, don't be too disappointed; young women wouldn't come to such a place to soak. Everyone does soak together in the same pool at sunset, and the hotel provides robes. Many elderly people don't even seem to mind, just wandering around naked, seemingly unnoticed. Facilities: The water in the open-air pool is incredibly salty, perhaps due to the minerals, but I think it's more likely due to the elderly soaking too much. Also, be careful during the summer. The hotel itself has a notice warning you to be wary of blood-sucking bugs, which are everywhere. There are also indoor pools, but they feel like community bathhouses, with poor hygiene and a lingering, elderly-influenced odor. Cleanliness: Both the room and the bathhouse are old and prone to bugs. Blood-sucking bugs sometimes fly around at the beach, so be careful. The worst part is the old-fashioned air conditioner in the room, which is incredibly loud when placed on the floor. At night, after they make the bed, your pillow might be right next to the hairdryer. It's incredibly noisy all night long. Environment: Because the name ”Bu*** Onsen” (literally, ”Immortal Spring”) is used by mostly elderly people, the facilities are quite dated, reminiscent of those from the 1970s and 1980s, from the doors to the stalls. It's clean, but definitely not modern. Service: The restaurant is a large cafeteria with a self-service buffet, and the food is quite good.

林可利Stayed one night on September 20, 2025 (single occupancy). The staff at the front desk and breakfast service were very friendly and welcoming. It's close to Aoyama Station, and the surrounding area has excellent dining and shopping options. From the airport, I took a bus and got off at Shinmachi 1-chome. It's a 5-minute walk from there. The coffee at the front desk was strong, which I personally liked. The bed was a bit firm (which I also liked). Breakfast cost 1000 yen. The coffee selection was limited, and it was even weaker than the one at the front desk. Also, you have to walk outside to find two separate rooms. Importantly, it's not served every day. However, I must say the hotel is really old. The rooms are very small, and you can see mold and rust. There's a laundry area, but it's next to the smoking room, so those with sensitive skin might be able to smell it. But you get what you pay for. For a Saturday night, at under 9000 yen including breakfast, I'd give it 4.5 stars. Recommended for those on a budget.
