4-Star Hotels in Hunan, China

When traveling with family, Hilton is usually my top choice. Its chain operation always gives me peace of mind. The Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Hotel is incredibly close to the scenic area, and there are many dining options nearby, which is super convenient. The hotel's service is exceptional and really made us feel comfortable. They even offer complimentary hot porridge in the evenings, which is such a thoughtful touch for travelers! The breakfast spread is abundant, with different dishes every day. We especially loved their coffee, which might have been a significant reason we chose this hotel. All in all, my family and I really enjoyed our stay.

The front desk officers were so helpful and friendly. They helped us to take our big luggages to the 3rd floor where we stayed for a night. It's just a walking distance to the main river and we could enjoy the whole evening strolling around the river without worrying our distance back to the hotel. Although there were lots of pubs, but the location of the hotel is not too close to the main bars area, and we could still sleep peacefully. Totally recommended. PS: it might have a few mosquitoes during the nights so have to close the window.

The service was incredibly warm and attentive. Our room overlooked the Suoxi River, and the outdoor balcony with a bathtub was perfect for soaking while enjoying the night views – so relaxing! Every day, the lovely staff drew me a map for the next day's sightseeing, and following it made exploring all the beautiful scenery so enjoyable. I was extremely satisfied with this trip. The hotel is also just a 10-minute walk from the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Wulingyuan entrance, along a charming wooden boardwalk beside the stream, making every day's journey a delight.

The hotel's environment, cleanliness, and service were all excellent! I had scheduled a shuttle to the high-speed rail station for 1:30 PM the next day, but due to a slight delay returning from Tianmen Mountain, I informed the staff that I would need to leave at 1:50 PM. They were all very accommodating and helpful. The suite was spacious and had a great view. I will definitely stay here again next time I visit Zhangjiajie!

I want to take a moment here to describe one of my best moments with the staff from this establishment. Not only this place is located neitherly next to the fall for the best view; but they were always there to provide mewith the best care I also never experienced before from giving me a private tour around from themselves willingness, give me free liquor or drinks even if I didn’t want to some time.🤗. I got dressed up from his brothers shop; for me was an honour to be like having their cultural outfit for the day, show me the best restaurants around to taste the rich flavours of the region. And off course the incredible view at night from my balcony is unbelievable. This pale can receive sigle, couple and families. The room are rusting and very warm. It’s for me a 5 stars of the personality of the place and base on luxury. You won’t regret it! 👍🏼💝🙏

Traveling to Zhangjiajie, Hunan, our first stop was Fenghuang Ancient Town, and we booked this hotel. It's located inside the scenic area, downstream of the Tuojiang River, which makes it very quiet, yet super convenient for exploring the town. The hotel itself is clean, tidy, and comfortable. Parking is also a breeze with their own dedicated spots. Our room had a beautiful river view right outside our window overlooking the Tuojiang. The service was excellent, truly a concierge-style experience – warm and attentive. For just over 500 RMB including breakfast, the value for money is pretty good. I'd say this hotel probably ranks among the top ones near the scenic area. If I had to pick a tiny flaw, it would be that the breakfast was just okay – it had the basics but wasn't particularly lavish. Though, that might just be my five-star hotel standards talking! All in all, it's definitely a recommended hotel!

The resort is a little tricky to get to if you hire DiDi so make sure to utilize their free pickup service from airport or train station. They were very accommodating. We booked the hotel last min and they were able to arrange a driver to pick us up on the same day. Overall the stay was very comfortable and it’s located in a small village just steps away from one of the 5 entrances to the National Forest. We definitely enjoyed the small town feel. It was a nice trip to decompress after the lively, bright lights and bustling streets of Chongqing (which was also great!). The food they serve and free breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay here again when we revisit Zhangjiajie.

The owner was fully committed for us to have the best experience in Fenghuang city. We were contacted 2 days before our arrival for a pick-up from the railway station. Everything went so smoothly. I was speechless regarding the quality of the service. It was also relieving as I travelled with my parents who are not that young anymore. We had the same shuttle service for our way back to the station. The hôtel also helped us book a guided tour to visit the surrounding. We are not just receiving a room in this hotel. We received much more. We were really grateful for your kindness.

We had a truly pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel very welcome with their kindness and warm hospitality. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. The room was spacious, clean, and perfect for our family. There was a good variety of options in breakfast. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended for families looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

The hotel facilities are fully equipped, and they even have a robot delivering food, which makes ordering takeout super convenient. The room was very clean, comfortable, and tidy. The service was also excellent, especially the front desk staff, Lydia Vienna Stella, who helped us upgrade our room. Her service was very thoughtful.
