We drove 1.5 hours from Hakata to this hotel, quick far away. The osen hotel is pretty large and have public and private osen bath to choose from.
Originally we booked the room with hot spring both but have been checked into a different room with a separate bath tub only. The hotel insisted this is the same room type and need to charge additional charge to upgrade to the better room that can have a separate hot spring bath.
I called Trip.com and they admitted that there is some confusion on the room type and has agreed to pay for the extra charge to upgrade to the better room.
So finally we paid the upgrade charge and moved to the better room with the hot spring bath. So overall it was still a very good experience. Thanks for Trip.com’s commitment to get the customer a better experience.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Very traditional Japanese-style hot spring hotel. Although there is no large bath, the three private soup experiences that can be used freely are still very good. The most commendable thing about the hotel is the food cuisine. It is recommended by Michelin. Every meal is amazing and praiseworthy. Every time I go to Japan, I will stay at the hot spring hotel. This experience can be said to be the best. Very recommended.

The room windows offer direct views of the moat, and the hotel is incredibly close to attractions like the hot air balloon festival grounds and shrines.
**Transportation:** From Saga Station, you can take the Showa Bus (towards Karatsu) directly to the hotel. Alternatively, the most convenient option is to simply take a taxi.
**Service:** I absolutely have to commend the hotel's front desk staff! They were an enormous help! Due to heavy rains in the Kyushu region, I found myself stranded in Saga and had difficulty getting around. I wanted to arrange for my luggage to be sent directly to my next hotel in Fukuoka. A lady wearing glasses at the front desk was exceptionally helpful in assisting me with filling out the Takkyubin (luggage delivery service) forms. Even though the courier company ultimately couldn't guarantee delivery to my next hotel before my departure due to the heavy rain, the hotel staff's assistance was invaluable and greatly appreciated!
**Dining:** When it's too hot in summer, taking a break at the hotel's first-floor cafe, sipping coffee and enjoying the views, is a fantastic way to relax. (The Baumkuchen is delicious!)
Nicely designed hotel. But rooms are small and tight. Not easy to walk around. Location a little off the center of Saga City but lots of car parking available. Service was good and helpful. And you can even buy a fireworks and play!
There is a direct bus from Takeo to the hotel entrance, or you can take a bus to Ureshino Station to reach the hotel. The hotel is 10 stories high and is the tallest building in the area. It is very eye-catching. There is a tea and rest area on the ground floor. All toiletries must be taken to the room on the ground floor. The hot spring is on the 10th floor. It is divided into indoor and outdoor areas. The outdoor scenery is very good. You can enjoy the city scenery while taking a hot spring bath.
The food is good quality, the staff are polite and welcoming. But the hot spring facilities are average. The public pool allows diners to eat ice cream and popsicles, which seems to be very different from the traditional etiquette of Japanese hot springs. But the indoor onsen is nice.

The front desk staff are friendly and attentive. There was a young man from China at the front desk who gave a detailed introduction to the hotel facilities, dinner reservation times and some sightseeing suggestions in Chinese. On Chinese New Year's Eve, I met a Japanese lady at the hotel front desk (who spoke very fluent English) who gave guests free drinks to celebrate the New Year, which made people feel cordial and warm. There are few people in the hotel's hot springs and they are very clean. Basically every time I go, the restaurant is reserved;) Dinner is a major feature of the hotel and worth experiencing. Although the ingredients don't look amazing, they are actually carefully prepared and high-quality ingredients. The cooking method is not very flashy, which is probably the characteristic of Ureshino. I ate every meal until I couldn't finish it. The Saga beef melts in your mouth, the tiny pufferfish is extremely delicious, the crabs are sweet and plump...^_^The soup tofu for breakfast is soft, glutinous and smooth in the mouth, without any beany smell, and the rich bean aroma is unforgettable.

If your hotel has a tiered pricing structure for sea view rooms based on floor level, this policy should be clearly stated on the booking page, including the 'total range of guest room floors' and the 'floor range included in the corresponding price,' rather than concealing crucial information and misleading consumers. To demand extra payment only after check-in clearly demonstrates a lack of integrity.
2. I booked two weeks in advance and specifically noted my high-floor preference; this was not a last-minute, unreasonable request. Even if an adjustment wasn't possible due to full occupancy, a reasonable explanation should have been provided. This dismissive and profit-driven service attitude starkly contradicts your hotel's premium pricing and positioning and undermines guests' trust.
Your hotel projects an image of 'quality service' through its high pricing, yet in reality, it conceals information and implicitly demands extra payment. This is completely unacceptable to me. I strongly urge your hotel to address the following issues:
1. Disclose your floor-based pricing rules to provide a transparent booking environment for consumers.
2. Issue a formal apology to me for this service failure and optimize your front desk service procedures to prevent future guests from experiencing similar issues.

It's a luxurious, pretty, clean hotel that has everything you need even if you come naked~~
You can wear the provided yukata or pajamas and slippers and walk around the hotel and the ocean in front, and you can rent a bike for 600 yen and go to the pine forest to eat a Karatsu burger and if you try a little harder, you can even go to the mart in the village
There are definitely guests eating at the restaurant, but the hot spring is quiet so you can rent it and enjoy it! The price for one night was shocking, but the breakfast was so delicious and I thought dinner was a buffet, but I was a little disappointed because I ate a course meal at a Japanese restaurant🥲🥲 When I checked out the next day, I saw that a lot of Japanese people were eating the lunch buffet???? The lunch buffet must be delicious.
And after checking out, they even took me to the station for free even though I didn't make a reservation~ good good🥰

GGuest UserI recommended traveling to Ureshino bus center (not interchange*) by bus from Hakata bus terminal if you weren't driving. I stayed in their standard room type. Bathing at their shared onsen was an experience. The facility was very clean. Ureshino onsen water would be what you came here for. The amenities were nice too. They offered excellent breakfast at 2,200 yen. It was a buffet line using local ingredients. While in the area try Yococho, izakaya sampo, and buy some ureshino green tea.

GGuest Uservery lovely place! it is new (opened in July 2025). The service from when your car is in the porch (There's a valet), till check out, it was perfect. The onsen was great. It's not as warm as the others but it makes staying in the onsen longer possible. Was pleasantly surprised about the complementary dinner and breakfast! Dinner was great and was paced out so it was just nice. For breakfast it was a buffet spread that was great! I love the selection and freshness. It is in between mountains so the drive might be long but so worth it for the price

GGuest UserThe room is small, and it was a bit crowded for three people. The view outside the window was very nice, with a small waterfall. The dinner was mediocre, but the buffet breakfast was amazing. The staff was basically very enthusiastic. We were sent to Ureshino JR Station when we checked out.
