Carlton Hotel Buda Castle

Carlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream! My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.
Vagabond Soho

Located centrally within a short walk to a number of good bars, restaurants and cafes however it can get noisy until the early hours of the morning. The apartment was compact but big enough for 2 people however the bed was a very small queen. There was only 1 coffee capsule for 2 people staying and although there were lots of electrical sockets, they were all for European plugs and not one had a USB connection which would be far more useful for most travellers. The bathroom mirror was laughable - I’m 5ft 2” and could just see the top of my head in it! Instructions to gain entry were emailed on check-in day, which also included downloading an app. This would’ve been useful to know prior to travelling.

We stayed here on our 1st nite before a river cruise, we had a great room on the 6th floor over looking the River Danube with views of the beautiful Parliament building - can't complain. Although the room was very modern, the carpet was quite stained, there was a lot of thick dust on the ledge over the bed and under TV consul and also the toilet seat was quite stained and not up the usual 4 * standard. We also stayed 1 night after the river cruise room 123 Same stained carpet, filthy remote control, and a lot of ant like bugs on bedclothes and furniture, which we showed to reception. We received a complimentary drink voucher (👍) And offered housekeeping, which we declined as we were heading out for dinner. The curtain had a black cigarette burn quite visible, which wasn't nice to look at. On a positive note, the staff were very helpful on check-in.
Hotel President

Hotel President Budapest exceeded all my expectations! The cleanliness of the rooms and common areas was impeccable, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast selection was outstanding, offering a wide variety of options that catered to all tastes, and everything I tried was delicious and fresh. The hospitality of the staff was exceptional—they were incredibly warm, accommodating, and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was perfect. The hotel’s location is another highlight. It is within walking distance of major landmarks like The Parliament and St. Stephen’s Basilica, making it a perfect base for exploring Budapest. There are also many great restaurants and other tourist spots nearby, making it easy to enjoy the city without the hassle of long commutes. I highly recommend this hotel for its quality and convenience!
Mercure Budapest Castle Hill

Convenient hotel, very reasonable price, not far from the main station of Line 2 subway station, it should be within five minutes on foot, there is a prima supermarket behind, convenient for replenishment. There are no food stores nearby. But if you are willing to take a subway stop, there is also a bustling commercial district. It is about ten to fifteen minutes' walk from Fisherman's Bastion, which is also acceptable. Recommended for consideration The picture shows the whole view of the hotel taken from the room window and in the distance.

Excellent choice in Budapest. Very convenient and well located. Clean and cozy. The apartment was very well equipped. The check in and out process was difficult because the instructions were contradictory, some instructions indicated the use of app and virtual key and other through real key and case. The check out is too early. 10:00h. 12:00h is the usual time for checkout.
Airport Hotel Budapest

A great base to visit Budapest from, great rooms that are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a gym and a large jacuzzi and a sauna. The jacuzzi needs a clean I will say as it’s very opaque and the top felt a bit slimy which put me off using it which is a shame. The breakfast hot options were not great for me being veggie and were cold. The potatoes were not cooked. The cold options were great, good choice of cereal, cheese, bread and rolls. Lots of very nice pastries and yoghurt. There were juices and hot drinks. I had a lunch in the restaurant and that was very nice. I had baked Camembert salad. Also lovely lady in bar/restaurant gave me a pint of milk for room for me to make tea with. No milk in mini fridge but coffee and tea supplied. The room has everything you need and more. Big showers and separate w/c. Beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows and rooms have excellent blackout curtains. My gripe was how hot the rooms were but that was a me problem and was fine with window open. There is public transportation just outside the hotel and a shopping complex a 5 min walk away. The hotel offers a 24 hour airport shuttle which is brilliant! Lastly I have to mention the staff….. they are what makes this a stand out hotel for me, they were all so very good, friendly and helpful, kind , patient and NICE!!! As a solo female traveler this made me feel safe and happy and comfortable which is very nice. I would 100% recommend this hotel.

I must give the hotel a 5-star rating. This is a warm hotel. The front desk staff is very responsible. My phone was lost after I arrived at the hotel and left the taxi. The hotel staff was very responsible and assisted me in finding my phone. This made me very happy. I wish you all the best and a prosperous business!

Overall impressions are only positive. Breakfast is varied, I had a good selection of cheeses and fruits. A bit far from the center, but this is not my first time in Budapest. The hotel is well maintained.

Location is so close to the metro, walking distance to many places of interest. Beautiful park right outside the hotel. The hotel was comfortable and well staffed. Everyone was very professional, polite and efficient. The breakfast buffet has a wide selection even for vegetarian.
