"Charming small hotel near the centre of Apt old town with efficient air conditioning and friendly proprietress. Also secure cycle storage. Situated on a small shady square. We were staying as part of an organised cycle tour of Provence. This was ideal although those needing a swimming pool or lift would be disappointed."

"Terrible stay. The worst is the smell in the entire place. The corridors smell as if no fresh air had entered in years. It feels moldy, and sweaty. Especially the bathrooms are disgustingly dirty. Even after changing the room after the first night the second room was even worse. We were told that those rooms are the renovated ones. Stay away from this hotel."

"The Le Manoir is a delightful hotel, set just outside of the town of Apt, Provence. The staff - at Reception, Restaurant, and those who serviced our room were really a pleasure to interact with: welcoming, wark, proficient and friendly. The Hotel manager and his team looked after all our needs during our stay. Nearby, Apt and the surrounding area offers picturesque landscape with chateaus, castles, and churches to explore in the countryside. Coupled with fine weather, we had a relaxing break. I cannot praise the hotel team too highly. Thank you! J"

"These two nights were perfect. The room, like the entire establishment, was perfect: very bright, clean, quiet, well equipped. Hearty, good, varied breakfasts. The reception for bicycles: perfect. The welcome in general is excellent, generous, family... the best. The large parking lot at the foot of the hotel is royal! From there, you can enjoy direct access to the magnificent old town via Rue Saint-Pierre which leads to nice little restaurants. A must if you return to sleep in Apt."

"The room was a disaster.It’s dirty! Low quality paint which is very very bad, poison chemical substance is everywhere ,not only in the rooms, but the whole hotel is not air-healthy."

"We stayed for three nights and unfortunately left disappointed. Although described as a hotel, it felt more like staying in someone's home, where guests were expected to follow the owners' personal rules. On arrival, we were given a long list of instructions, including not being allowed to use the room towels at the pool, having to hire pool towels for €3 each, and being told not to bring food or drinks into the room. One evening after dinner, a small group of guests were quietly chatting together outside when we were told twice to be quiet. The gentleman then returned a third time to tell us to go inside because they wanted to finish for the night and still had dishes to wash. It brought what could have been a pleasant evening with other guests to an abrupt end. The following day we were greeted with, "Smile, you're being filmed," before being told it was illegal to have our own visible security camera in our hotel room. The camera was there solely to protect our belongings while we were out. He said we should have informed them that we had a camera, and we explained that we would have placed a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door if one had been provided. He then said we were accusing them of being thieves by having the camera in our room. We asked for a "Do Not Disturb" sign but were told that, even if we had one, the owner could still enter the room because it was his hotel. His exact words were, "Vous êtes chez nous, donc on a le droit de rentrer" ("You are in our home, so we have the right to enter"). We found this comment very upsetting. We were also told housekeeping would no longer enter the room, so our room was not serviced for the rest of our stay. We had to use the same towels for three days, and consumables such as toilet paper and other essentials were not replenished. It would have been appreciated if fresh towels and essential supplies had at least been offered. The most concerning incident was being told that our travel kettle was leaking, even though it was kept in the bathroom and has never leaked. Later, we found our camera, which had been in the bedroom, sitting in a puddle of water. We cannot explain how this happened, but it left us feeling very uncomfortable. The lady who worked at the hotel was always pleasant and courteous. Unfortunately, our interactions with the gentleman were very different. During our stay, he complained to us about other guests, which we found unprofessional and uncomfortable. On checkout, after the lady kindly said she hoped we would extend our stay, we explained that we were continuing our travels. He immediately replied, "The room is already rented!" Overall, we found the atmosphere unwelcoming and felt our privacy was not respected. We would not choose to stay here again. A month on and after continued use, our travel kettle has not once leaked."
