The hotel is in the busiest part of Khao San Road, so it's convenient for getting everywhere. The only downside is that it can get noisy at night since it's close to the bar street, but you get used to it. The room was cleaned daily. Overall, it was a good stay.

The hotel is very well located. The staff are super friendly. The breakfast is varied, tasty, and healthy. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If I had to pick one flaw, we had a very small window in the room, which made it feel a bit claustrophobic.

The hotel's location is fantastic, but the downside is how incredibly noisy it is. The music was blasting, and our room faced the street. It would be great if you're planning to party all night. The hotel staff were very welcoming; someone was even on duty when we arrived in the middle of the night.

The staff was genuinely very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the room itself was very clean upon arrival. The shared bathroom was also clean at first, and overall the accommodation seemed well maintained. Unfortunately, there were several issues that made the stay less comfortable for us. The mini fridge in the room did not cool at all. In addition, the room next to ours was occupied by a couple with a baby, and they often left their door open. Because of this, the baby crying could be heard extremely loudly, especially at night, which made it very difficult to fall asleep. Interestingly, we could hear that other guests were watching TV loudly in the hallway, but inside our room we could barely hear any noise except for the baby crying, which was unfortunately very disruptive. Another unpleasant issue was that diapers were disposed of in the shared bathroom. The smell became very strong and lingered for several hours, and there were also many flies in that bathroom because of it. Thankfully, it was possible to go one floor higher and use the shower and toilet there instead. The location depends a lot on personal preference. We are not party people, and the area had a very strong party atmosphere, which we did not expect. Because of that, it is difficult for me to judge the location fairly. I think for people visiting Bangkok mainly for nightlife and partying, the location could actually be very good. However, it is still relatively far from the city center, although it is possible to walk there. Overall, the biggest positive point was definitely the staff — they were truly kind and made a real effort to help guests feel welcome.

Excellent location, lovely ”village” are near kohsan road, which is just 3 minute walk away but far enough away that you dont hear it and not in the main drag of it. Lovely pools, staff were amazing and when we had to lengthen our stay due to flight issues they were more than accommodating by keeping us in the same room so we didn't have to move all our stuff around. My only quam is no kettle in the room and TV very dated with only English news channels. But overall we would stay there again.

I had a pleasant stay at Khaosan Palace and would happily recommend it, especially if you want to stay right in the heart of Khaosan Road. The room was spacious enough, comfortable, and cleaned daily. The hot and cold shower worked well, and having an elevator was a big plus. There is also a pool, which was great for cooling down after a long day out. Location-wise, it is not close to the BTS or MRT, but it is very near Phra Arthit Pier, which makes getting around the city easier. The boat is a convenient alternative for exploring temples, riverside areas, and even getting closer to malls, especially if you want to avoid traffic. If you arrive early, the hotel has a storage room where you can leave your luggage until check-in time. The same option is available after check-out, which was very convenient. If you arrive at night, you may need to walk a bit since Khaosan Road is closed to vehicles. During the day and until after noon, taxis or Bolt can usually get close to the hotel. Many reviews mention noise because it is in a party area, and yes, the parties can go on until 4am or even 6am sometimes. That said, I was surprised that it was not that loud in my room. I could hear some sound, but it was very faint, and the hotel even provides earplugs, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a good stay with solid amenities and a great location if you plan to explore Khaosan and nearby areas.

When we are in Bangkok, we always choose Ayathorn. If you’re planning to explore the old part of Bangkok, this hotel is a great base. Many of the main attractions are within a 20–30 minute walk, and if you prefer, a short tuk-tuk ride gets you there even faster. There are also several very good local restaurants just a few minutes away on foot, which makes evenings easy and enjoyable. The rooftop is a nice plus perfect for cooling off after a long day of sightseeing, with a relaxing atmosphere, or for spending some time in the pool. One thing to be aware of is the major renovation works currently happening in front of the building, which can cause traffic congestion and some noise during the day. However, you can minimize this by booking a river-facing room, which is quieter. Also, if you arrive early, the hotel offers the option to check in before the standard time for an additional fee, which can be very convenient after a long flight.

There were quite a few complaints about noise in the reviews, so I booked this hotel on a whim, but specifically requested a high-floor room at the back of the hotel. It turns out I won the gamble: Khao San Road at night has world-class noisy bars, where even with your ears covered, you can feel your heart pulsing to the beat. But stepping into the hotel, the clamor is immediately cut off. My suite was large, with windows on three sides, green trees and red walls, and during the day, it was so quiet you could only hear birdsong. The interior layout was very clever; he was playing games in the inner room, and I was sitting on the sofa behind the partition, facing the balcony, drinking, without disturbing each other. Late at night, there was only the faint sounds of the bars, which had transformed into a non-jarring background noise, allowing me to turn over and sleep soundly. Staying here, you can deeply experience the dramatic tension of day and night, with a strong sense of contrast. The Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaeo, the Chao Phraya River, and N13 pier are all within walking distance; nearby, supermarkets and snack stalls are plentiful. To go to ICONSIAM, Chinatown, Wat Arun, Pak Khlong Talat (flower market), and the Big C Ferris Wheel, just take the blue line tourist boat from N13. It's 40 baht for hop-on, hop-off, saving time and effort with beautiful scenery. When taking a taxi from BKK airport, be sure to use the meter (by meter) and keep the ticket number; if it's a fixed price, no matter how high they quote, cap it at 500 Thai Baht.

[Pros] * Right at Khaosan Rd. * Convenient stores and cheap food can be found within 5 minutes of walking. * There is a cheap air-conditioned bus nearby to go straight to BKK (might not be punctual). * There is a dining/resting area. * Seems clean. * Cheap for a two people room in Bangkok. [Cons] * Looks nothing like the photos. The windows are blocked. * The first night, I stayed in a room on the top floor. It was extremely hot even after hours of aircon running. * The room smelled extremely bad. It smelled like a sewer, to be precise. The reason is that the room is airtight, and the only way for air to circulate is through the bathroom drain. This is not the only hotel with this problem, so I recognize the smell immediately. I reported this issue to the counter, and they changed my room two days later. The new room on the third floor is the same. * The cleaning crew put the clean towels and bed sheets on the dirty corridor floor.

This hotel provided an amazing experience! The location is super convenient, making it easy to get around and go shopping. The front desk staff were warm and efficient, making the check-in process incredibly smooth. The room itself was clean and spacious, with soft and comfortable bedding. The natural light and ventilation were excellent, and all the amenities were complete and worked perfectly. The bathroom was clean and odor-free. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the taste was consistently good, catering to different needs. The surrounding area was quiet and peaceful, ensuring a great night's sleep. The staff were attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay, responding promptly to any requests. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. It's suitable for both business trips and leisure travel, and I would definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Beautiful homestay in an old thai house owned by a thai family. The guest is the kindest and super helpful. I had a private room and it was very cozy. Being a traditional wooden house of course there is not much insulation, so you can hear others' steps or sneeze. Not much of a problem for me anyway. Breakfast was delicious, everyday we had a different fullfilling meal made of fruit, rice with egg and meat or thai soup. Location is close to the old Bangkok area, a bit of walking to the metro station but you can grab easily. Keep in mind it is located in a very narrow street in proximity of the canal, hence it can look a bit sketchy at first sight. Note, I'm a solo female traveller and had absolutely no issue and never felt in danger, the place is populated by locals living in the neighbourhood and plenty of cute cats!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay for 3 nights at this place. This is my second time. No disappoitment. The location is super good . We could walk to many good eating places and touristic sites. The hotel lobby and room is clean with enough amenities. More importantly, the hotel staff are very nice and attentive to your demands with smiles.

Basic, but it's my second time choosing this place. The location is excellent, and it's quiet. There's a nice small green area. Your window might overlook... other windows. The hot water is plentiful, even without the heater on full power. It does get a bit stuffy with just a fan and no AC, but for a private room in this location, it's budget-friendly. In the common area, there's a fridge, kettle, and microwave – very convenient! This particular room could really use some hooks or hangers for clothes, but it's not a deal-breaker. Just remember to bring your own shampoo and soap from home (or your previous hotel). It's super easy to get to and from the airport using the S1 bus; the stop is very close!
